Missing American woman in Grenada may have drowned after swimming far offshore, husband says
A North Carolina woman who went missing while on a girls' trip to the Caribbean may have drowned, her husband says.
Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell, 43, went missing from Grenada on July 22 and new details shared by her husband suggest she was last seen in the water – by a group of jet skiers.
In an update posted to FindLiz.com, Liz’s husband, Cailen Waddell, said the jet skiers tried for several minutes to convince her to get on a jet ski rather than remain in the ocean.
He writes, "They spoke with her for five or ten minutes trying to convince her to ride in with them on a jet ski and not stay in the ocean. Reportedly she said, ‘I’m a good swimmer,’ and gave them a thumbs up."
He has been releasing information on his wife's case using the website her family created.

The conversation with the jet skiers allegedly happened around 5:30 p.m. on the Wednesday she was reported missing to the Royal Grenada Police Force.

"I am grieving her absence and the loss of her in my daily life right now, understanding that it is incredibly likely she is gone and hoping that the investigation will offer more clarity as to what happened," Waddell said.

Waddell traveled to Grenada to join search efforts to find her two days after she was reported missing. He returned to the U.S. a week later, following an unsuccessful search.
Surveillance video from a nearby Airbnb property recorded the possible moment Liz entered the water that day; a person appearing to be Waddell is seen walking near a pool and holding a towel.

Next, she appears to jump in the water off of a dock then swims out of frame.

Depsite drones, dive teams, and dogs – search efforts by law enforcement for any trace of Liz have come up dry.
Police are still treating her disappearance as a missing persons case. Her husband is still holding on to hope.
"If Liz walked out of the jungle tomorrow and said, 'Hey, where’s my passport?' I’d not be surprised and obviously get on a plane and go get her in a heartbeat," he said.

Safe and Beautiful Task Force will mark its first anniversary Tuesday after making more than 16,000 arrests since its launch, Fox News Digital has learned exclusively, as the Trump administration points to the results of its sweeping crackdown on violent crime in the nation’s capital.
"Under President Trump’s leadership, the Department of Justice and our law enforcement partners have delivered extraordinary results in our nation’s capital. More than 16,000 arrests, thousands of illegal drugs and firearms taken off the streets, and dangerous violent offenders brought to justice mean safer neighborhoods and lives protected," said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. "We will not relent until every community in Washington, D.C., is safe."
The task force launched Aug. 11, 2025, bringing federal, state and local law enforcement together after Trump declared a crime emergency in Washington, D.C. Trump also deployed National Guard troops, drawing criticism from Democratic officials.

The operation has led to the arrests of 35 homicide suspects and more than 100 known gang members, along with more than 3,200 narcotics arrests, nearly 2,000 illegal guns seized, and 25 missing children located and returned home, according to a White House official.
"President Trump has transformed our nation’s capital from a crime-ridden city into a safe and beautiful haven for residents and visitors alike. The president’s Safe and Beautiful Task Force have made more than 16,000 arrests, including murderers, sex offenders, drug traffickers and other violent criminals," said White House spokesperson Lauren Bis.
"The Task Force has driven down crime, beautified the city, and improved quality of life for countless individuals," she added.
The operation followed the June 2025 killing of 21-year-old congressional intern Eric Tarpinian and a series of high-profile violent crimes, including the beating of a former DOGE staffer and the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy in a case involving MS-13 gang members.
"The men and women of the U.S. Marshals Service, along with our partners from so many federal and local agencies, have tirelessly worked to make D.C. safer for those who live here and for those who visit our nation's capital," said U.S. Marshals Service Director Gadyaces Serralta.
"This operation shows the relentless dedication we have to investigate and apprehend the most violent, dangerous fugitives," Serralta added. "When law enforcement works together, the impact is exponential. The D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force is proof of that the whole-of-government approach works."
Last year, Trump increased the federal law enforcement presence in Washington, D.C., deploying hundreds of federal agents and National Guard troops to the streets to combat crime.
The decision drew pushback, with "No Kings" protests across the country and Democratic leaders saying the troops were not welcome.

Mayor Muriel Bowser previously slammed Trump for the move, saying, "I don’t think it’s legal, let me start there, for the National Guard to police Americans on American soil."

In November, two National Guard members were ambushed in downtown D.C. when 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal opened fire.
Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, 20, of the West Virginia National Guard, was shot in the head and died the following day, Thanksgiving. Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, then 24, was also shot in the head and critically injured but survived.

Yes, the Clash is returning to Daytona for the first time in a few years. It went from the LA Coliseum to Bowman Gray, but she's coming back home to where she belonged for decades.
More importantly, the date will also change, and it's maybe the smartest thing NASCAR's done in a while.
The 2027 Wheatley Vodka Clash (yes, it's no longer the Busch Clash) will run Saturday night, Feb. 13 — eight days before the Daytona 500 and on the eve of the Super Bowl.
Yes, you read that right. We finally get some iteration of "Speedweeks" back. The horrible "run the Busch Clash then take a full two weeks off before the Daytona 500" schedule is DONE. One of the dumbest scheduling strategies in all of sports, if you ask me, and it's finally over.
The race will run on the oval, with eligibility for the invitation-only event still to be determined. The late Kyle Busch won the last Clash at Daytona in 2021, but that race was on the road course.
Yes, Kyle Busch won a road course race. Amazing. Man, I miss him.
Look at that schedule. What a throwback! In recent years, the old "Speedweeks" have turned into "SpeedDays," with some drivers not even getting to Daytona until the Wednesday before the race.
Disgusting behavior, if you ask me. Not anymore.
We've got the Clash a full eight days before the 500, and a on the eve of the Super Bowl. Another smart move. The Super Bowl is a full week later this year, which means the 500 has been pushed a week. NASCAR made the right call jamming a race into Super Bowl weekend. You get a piece of that pie however possible. Trust me.
Good to have some sort of Speedweeks back. Lord, I'm just glad to have it plural again.
OK, that's enough of the warm and fuzzy today. Unfortunately, I can't milk it forever. Everyone's favorite Aussie announcer, Leigh Diffey, returned to our TV screens this weekend, and NASCAR fans were thrilled!
I could go on and on, but I won't, because I'm tired. We've been doing this song and dance with Leigh Diffey for five years now it seems.
Look, I don't love him, but I've made peace with him. Does it sound different? Yeah, duh. Let's just be honest here for a second. It sounds like I should be watching an F1 race, and Lord knows I'd never watch an F1 race.
But credit to Leigh for at least trying to make yesterday's race sound exciting. It's not an easy job, you know? Try to make a race with these current cars, which don't allow you to pass, sound exciting.
It ain't easy. Mike Joy does it better than anyone (duh), but I thought Leigh was fine yesterday. He did at one point call the final few laps "phenomenal," which I guess were? I don't know. Did anyone think Christopher Bell would actually pass Ty Gibbs? You couldn't do it all day. Why would it happen at the end?
I will say this ... Leigh can make paint drying sound exciting. NASCAR fans will never get past the accent, which I get, but fair is fair.
OK, let's get to a couple quickies on the way to Richmond ... First? How about this Kyle Busch helmet Ryan Blaney broke out this weekend?
"My thought when Kyle passed was, I've always thought in situations like that, how do you remember somebody and how do you think of all the good that they did in their life and all the success they had? Blaney said. "I think helmets are a unique thing in our sport, we kind of get to design them, a lot of them have special meaning. And this is kind of my best way of showing my respect towards Kyle Busch and respect to the Busch family.
"I hope to run it for one race and give it to Brexton, the Busch family, and they can do whatever they want with it. So just showing respect, and I'm glad people noticed it."

Ric Flair is known for his flamboyant promos and extravagant pro wrestling career that included several world championship runs across multiple promotions at his peak.
Outside the ring, Flair has seemingly been in an off-again-on-again relationship with Wendy Barlow. The two separated in 2024. In an unusual manner, the 77-year-old announced that he and Barlow were getting close again.

At my age, I'm playing lesbian golf most of the time, but I get what Paige is saying here and it should resonate with Real America. Women don't actually want to see low-T lesbian golf energy. They want to go out for a golf cart ride and see a 29-year-old guy pull driver and clear a creek sitting 285 yards out.
It's up to us to train our boys to not play lesbian golf until their late 40s when they mature into just keeping it in play.
The biggest news here is that it's Burger King sliding into the No. 2 slot as the biggest burger chain in the U.S. Remember, the minute I noticed all the meth heads working at our local Wendy's stores, I called it out immediately. The company was in huge trouble. If people encounter a meth addict giving them a bag of food, how are they supposed to feel about that chain?

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., asserted that all Muslim public servants in the U.S. pose a threat to the nation.
"Every single Muslim holding public office in America is a trojan horse, and a threat to both national security and our republic," Mace declared in a Friday post on X. "We refuse to be silent."
Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., condemned Mace's comments and insisted that Republicans should do so as well.
"This is absolutely disgusting and dangerous. Republicans must denounce this blatant Islamophobia. To Muslim communities across America: I will always stand with you," Jayapal wrote in a Saturday post on X.
Mace, in part of a post replying to Jayapal, wrote, "Islam must be confronted and Islam must be removed from civil society in the US."

California state Sen. Scott Wiener, who is running for the U.S. House in San Francisco, wrote, "Nancy Mace is on yet another bender demonizing Muslims and advocating to strip them of full citizenship. She is a vile person."
Owen Jones, a British man who describes himself on X as a "Socialist, antifascist, writer in various places," shared Mace's post and wrote in a Saturday post, "This is a Republican Congresswoman. If she spoke like this about Jewish Americans, she would right be regarded as a loud-and-proud Nazi. Islamophobia is spiralling out of control in the US."
Mace shared Jones' post and wrote on Sunday, "If not wanting to be blown up, stabbed, or rammed by a car by a radical Islamist in the United States of America makes us Islamophobes, then so be it."

Mace, who has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2021, ran unsuccessfully in the Republican South Carolina gubernatorial primary this year.

But there is good news — the Trump administration is working to change this trend. We know that good health starts with good nutrition, so to springboard the effort to Make America Healthy Again, USDA and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services jointly introduced the 2025–2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans earlier this year.
Relying on gold standard science, the Dietary Guidelines translate decades of nutrition research into practical recommendations that promote health across every stage of life.
The goal is simple: eat real food. It is well known that highly processed sugary foods can make the body feel sluggish and sick. Although they feed cravings, they don’t do much for the development of growing minds and bodies. On the other hand, whole, nutrient-dense foods are minimally processed and provide nourishment and the real fuel that growing kids need.
That’s why the Trump administration is partnering with states and local school districts to implement innovative ways to get whole, nutrient-dense foods to our kids. Through the State Early Action Pledge, states and local school districts across the country are voluntarily implementing one or more of the healthy options outlined in the updated Dietary Guidelines in the new school year — including serving whole milk to kids for the first time in more than a decade!

Of course, America’s farmers and ranchers are also an essential part of feeding flourishing families. Every healthy school meal begins with the hardworking producers who grow our fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy products and protein. By strengthening the connection between schools and local agriculture, we support both children’s health and rural economies.
USDA’s Farm to School Grant Program, which awarded two cohorts totaling nearly $20 million in the last three months, connects farmers to children by incorporating local foods into school meals, summer meals and childcare settings.
This year, we implemented several improvements designed to streamline the grant application process, remove barriers, promote larger-scale partnerships and empower farm-to-school programs to achieve bigger, bolder goals on behalf of our children.
For example, for its Powered by Protein project, first-time grantee Foundation for Food and Farm Connections will partner with 10 school districts, a large food service company, the Missouri Farm Bureau and the Missouri Association of Meat Producers.

This project will help schools to source local beef, pork, and poultry by strengthening every link in the farm-to-farschool supply chain — from producers and processors to school nutrition staff and classrooms.

Kyle Shanahan, returning after serious car crash, has new perspective on Tesla Autopilot and concussions
At his first press conference since causing a car crash that left him with broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken left hand, facial lacerations and a concussion, San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan announced he'll return to the sideline for his team's first preseason game this week.
But Shanahan wasn't done announcing.
He also made it clear his head-on collision in July, for which he's taken responsibility, has left him with a new perspective on Tesla's autopilot feature that seemingly drives the car by itself, and concussions, which are a significant part of all NFL seasons.

"When you're going at 20 miles an hour, and you're on autopilot, I honestly have zero worries," Shanahan told reporters. "I have so much trust in that stuff. That was a good lesson that you can't ever have zero worries. I think it definitely could be an example for a lot of people."
Shanahan is not a Tesla hater. He didn't protest the brand or Elon Musk back in 2025. In fact, he's owned Teslas for years.

But this crash has made him see his driving experience differently.
"Dropping a phone, it falling all the way to my back seat to where I have to fully take my eyes off the road, it's something that I normally wouldn’t do," Shanahan said. "I've had autopilot for nine years, so I'm pretty comfortable with it. Who knows what happened when I turned around. Whether it malfunctioned or whether I knocked it off, that's something I don't know yet.
"But regardless, it is always your fault, whether you're on autopilot or not. You can't take your eyes off the road. It's a partnership driving. You don't just turn it over to a computer. It's a good lesson, no matter how comfortable I am with that, that I believe someday could save my life or someone else's. It's really helped me have perspective on that stuff."
Shanahan hasn't been coaching the Niners at the outset of training camp to the degree he normally would. Even now, with the stitches on his face finally out, and Thursday's preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans looming, he's still walking around with a cast and some lingering effects of the crash.
And that has led him to view his players' concussions in a different light.
Shanahan, like many NFL coaches, is not intimately involved in the journey of his players through the league's concussion protocol. They do not determine when a player is cleared to return to practice or games.

But now, Shanahan admits, he "no doubt" has a new perspective on concussions.
"Just little things, like when they label things, like whether it's severe or mild," he said. "You hear someone has a mild one, I'm like, ‘Oh, alright. It might be one game, but usually that's two.’ Then you kind of learn those are just words. Each one's a little bit different.
"I definitely can relate to how scary it is when you don't know if you will feel right again. It's definitely made me more educated on it. Usually I just listen, and like, ‘Tell me when, OK,’ and I move on. But I understand it a lot better and what guys got to go through the protocol to get back."
Shanahan admits he's still not 100% following his concussion. He reports he still experiences headaches and fatigue.
Noise, particularly the soundtrack played over loudspeakers at practice, is no longer the challenge it was earlier.
"AC/DC hurt a lot more than some smoother hip-hop, but I think those days are over," he said. "Noise doesn't bother me like it was. I actually have two symptoms, I feel like, and that's headaches and fatigue. That's all I'm feeling right now."

Andrade El Idolo was ambushed at All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) Grand Slam Mexico after he punched his ticket into the Casino Gauntlet match at All In.
MJF returned to AEW programming on Wednesday night and assaulted Andrade after the pro wrestler became the No. 1 entrant for the match. MJF left Andrade bloodied and declared he would enter a qualifying match to become the second entrant. The winner of the Casino Gauntlet match will earn an AEW World Championship opportunity.

On Sunday, Andrade showed the aftermath of the attack. He posted a picture on social media of a brutal cut on his head and said he may be out of the ring for a few weeks.
"Hi everyone and especially Las Señoritas! I’ve just landed back in Miami, where I live, and I went straight to the DR," he wrote. "I hadn't been feeling well since the Wednesday after the Grand Slam, but as a professional, I had two shows in Canada with MLP.
"I’ll keep you posted, but I have to be out of action for a few days or weeks. It’s nothing serious, Take care! but... I have one question?"

MJF took a victory lap in his dismantling of Andrade in a subsequent post on X.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA How you know? OH I KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED!" he wrote.
Andrade wrote in a separate post on Instagram that he needed six stitches.
Andrade and MJF have been in the midst of a feud since MJF was loosely aligned with the Don Callis Family.
Andrade eventually broke from the faction as MJF won the AEW World Championship back from Darby Allin at Double or Nothing.
After MJF lost the title to Kenny Omega, he returned last week with his personal Triple B title, which he declared the true championship. Regardless, MJF set out on a journey to get to All In and earn another chance at the title.
