Cam Skattebo horrifies Giants fans by attempting a backflip despite coming off a leg injury
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo is going to take years off of fans' lives.
The second-year running back out of Arizona State had a great rookie season that was unfortunately cut short due to injury.
He's on the mend, but if he keeps doing stuff like he did at Fanatics Fest on Saturday, he may wind up back on IR.
Skattebo made an appearance at WWE's Fanatics Fest activation, where fans could recreate the entrances of their favorite wrestlers.
Skattebo chose Triple H and walked out to his Motörhead entrance music, "The Game."
But instead of blasting a mouthful of Dasani like Old Faithful, as Triple H used to do, Skattebo decided to make the celebration his own.
He pointed to his bum leg and then decided to do something that put every Giants fan's heart in their throat: a backflip.
All Giants fans watching probably yelped like a small dog when they saw the way Skattebo's surgically repaired right leg twisted on the landing.
He needs that. It's one of his runnin' legs.

While I have no clue if it was before or after Skattebo suffered the biggest backflip botch since a Savannah Bananas player went on CNN, he booted a nice field goal with his left foot at some point in the day.
Skattebo is quite the, uh, character, and it's hilarious to imagine the conversations the Giants are probably having with him.
No NFL front office thinks they have to tell a player, "Hey, quick reminder: you suffered a very serious leg injury about nine months ago. It's probably not a good idea to do backflips while walking out to Triple H's music. You should probably have known that, but consider this a reminder."

'Growing Pains' child star Ashley Johnson reveals 'dark' moment armed fan tried to abduct her from set
Ashley Johnson is recalling a terrifying moment from her childhood in Hollywood, revealing a fan grabbed her and tried to abduct her during a live taping of "Growing Pains."
The former child star says she was just 7 years old when an armed fan broke from a studio audience line, grabbed her and tried to carry her away during a live taping after production had received a threat warning that someone planned to bring a gun to the set. Johnson said the man was armed.
"It was in the first year that I was on, and we had only done a couple of film nights," Johnson began on the "Weird Kids" podcast.
Back then, she said, security around the cast was far less restrictive than it is today.
"So, I hadn't done that many yet … and at that time, all of the cast sort of had trailers, and they were like old camper trailers," Johnson said. "Like they're not like the fancy trailers that they are now."
She explained that cast members walked directly past audience members on their way into the studio.
"We would exit our trailers before the shoot and the audience that would be walking in, you would walk by the audience before you would walk into the studio," she said.
"And this is going to get a little dark, but somebody had written in and said that ‘I am coming to set, and I am going to bring a gun … I am going to murder some of the cast.’"
With audience members only "within five feet" away when the cast was walking into the studio, Johnson said one man suddenly lunged toward her.
"So, I'm walking with my mom, and then I just remember some guy hops out of the line, and he grabs me … grabs me up and starts booking it," she said. "And all I remember is like, there was security that somehow got on him after some time."

Johnson pointed out that she was too young to grasp the danger.
She remembered "flying around in the air" as security wrestled the suspect to the ground.
"I was clueless as to what was happening, but I was very upset, and they were talking to me about it after. And they were like, 'Are you okay?' … And I just said, 'I just think I'm going to be in trouble.'"
"But he was packing. They got him. This was the thing. He was high on something. It wasn't meth, but it was something — like, he was so strong," she said.

Looking back, Johnson said she didn't immediately feel frightened because, "I was such a polite kid at the time."
Johnson joined "Growing Pains" in 1990 as Chrissy Seaver, becoming the youngest member of the sitcom's family alongside Alan Thicke, Joanna Kerns, Kirk Cameron, Tracey Gold and Jeremy Miller.
Leonardo DiCaprio later joined the cast before the show's 1992 finale.
The actress went on to build a decades-long career on screen and in voice acting, earning widespread acclaim as Ellie in "The Last of Us" video game franchise before appearing as Anna, Ellie's mother, in HBO's television adaptation.
Andrew, Tristan Tate arrested in Miami as UK seeks extradition on expanded rape, trafficking charges
Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, were arrested Saturday in Miami after U.S. Marshals took the controversial social media influencers into custody on a sealed warrant as British prosecutors announced dozens of new criminal charges and sought their extradition.
"Today, U.S. Marshals in the Southern District of Florida arrested Andrew and Tristan Tate pursuant to extradition proceedings," a Justice Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital. "These arrests were made in accordance with the treaties and law enforcement agreements governing Justice Department extraditions."
Bedfordshire Police also confirmed the brothers were arrested Saturday in Miami in connection with a U.K. police investigation into alleged sexual offenses dating back to 2012.
Photos and video published by TMZ appeared to show federal agents handcuffing the brothers outside the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami, where Andrew Tate had been scheduled to appear at a bare-knuckle boxing event.

The arrests came hours after Britain's Crown Prosecution Service announced it had approved a major expansion of the criminal case against the brothers. Bedfordshire Police said the new charges bring the total against the brothers to 59, with Andrew Tate facing 42 charges and Tristan Tate facing 17.
According to the CPS, Andrew Tate now faces additional charges including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and offenses involving alleged indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Prosecutors said Tristan Tate also faces additional rape, sexual assault and trafficking charges.
The CPS said the alleged crimes span from 2010 to 2017 and involve four additional alleged victims, bringing the total number of alleged victims in the U.K. case to seven.
"The CPS has requested the extradition of the Tates from the US," Malcolm McHaffie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division, said in a statement. "They have been arrested and await extradition proceedings to the UK."

A law enforcement source told Fox News Digital the charges stem from the United Kingdom and that the arrest warrant is expected to be unsealed to reveal the U.K. charges.
The brothers are expected to make an initial appearance in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida early next week.
Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas of Bedfordshire Police said investigators had worked closely with prosecutors and international law enforcement agencies throughout the case. "There is no place for male violence against women and girls, and we will continue to work tirelessly to support victims and investigate all reports made to us," Thomas said.
Andrew and Tristan Tate have denied wrongdoing.
The brothers, who hold dual U.S. and British citizenship, rose to fame as "manosphere" influencers, building millions of followers with content promoting hypermasculinity and male non-monogamy. They have denied criminal allegations filed against them in Romania and the United Kingdom.
Neither the U.S. Marshals Service nor the Justice Department has publicly identified the basis for Saturday's sealed warrant, according to the AP.
The brothers' attorney did not immediately respond to requests for comment, according to TMZ.

New York City Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani is embracing his identity as a Democratic Socialist, arguing the movement represents a return to the Democratic Party's New Deal roots even as he insists Wall Street and corporate leaders have nothing to fear from his administration.
In a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times, Mamdani rejected the notion that his political label is a liability, instead characterizing Democratic Socialism as the modern embodiment of Franklin D. Roosevelt's vision for the Democratic Party.
"So much of what makes me proud to be a Democrat is looking at what our party used to stand for. You think about the Four Freedoms, you think FDR, you think the New Deal," Mamdani said. "Those are at the core of what our party's identity is, and yet it feels like to experience it, you have to read about it. You can't see it around you anymore. And that isn't something that I'm willing to accept, and I know that many feel similarly."

The remarks come as Mamdani has emerged as one of the Democratic Party's most prominent progressive voices following a string of successful endorsements of fellow Democratic Socialist candidates, who won their primary House races.
Even as he doubled down on Democratic Socialism, Mamdani insisted his administration welcomed private investment and collaboration with Wall Street, finance and real estate leaders, despite continuing to push for higher taxes on the city's wealthiest residents.
"I think it's important," Mamdani said of the city's relationship with private business leaders. "And what I have in common with leaders of those sectors — even amid disagreements, because I believe that we can raise taxes a little bit more on the wealthiest New Yorkers — what brings us together is both a belief in the city and a commitment to its continued vitality."

Mamdani pointed to the recent announcement of American Express' new headquarters at Two World Trade Center as evidence that major corporations continue investing in New York.
"These business leaders, they're not just making decisions on the basis of dollars and cents; they're also making decisions on the basis of investing in the city and in what the city represents," he said.
The mayor also rejected the idea that Democratic Socialism is incompatible with economic growth after the interviewer remarked that he sounded in line with a "capitalist mayor."

"I will always celebrate continued investment in this city," Mamdani said. "And I'll also look to ensure that more and more New Yorkers can be a part of those benefits."
But even as Mamdani boasts his support for corporate investments, an analysis by the Citizens Budget Commission found New York's share of the nation's millionaires fell from 12.7% in 2010 to 8.7% in 2022, the steepest decline of any state, costing an estimated $10.7 billion in personal income tax revenue in 2022 alone.
The report points to New York's high taxes and declining competitiveness relative to states like Florida and Texas as factors behind its shrinking share of the nation's millionaires.
Mamdani has made raising taxes on wealthy New Yorkers a centerpiece of his economic agenda, arguing the city's highest earners and most profitable corporations should shoulder more of the cost of funding public services.
His interview comes as national Democrats debate the party's future direction ahead of the 2028 presidential election. Mamdani argued that the victories of democratic socialist candidates signal that voters are embracing his vision for the party.
"For too long, it has felt like our party, the Democratic Party, the only answer we have is to say that we are not the Republican Party," Mamdani said. "But we also have to have a vision of what comes after this administration."
Connor Bedard re-signs with Blackhawks, ending hopes for another NHL offer sheet this offseason
He may be missing the start of the upcoming NHL season with a shoulder injury, but Connor Bedard is sticking around in Chicago for years to come.
The Blackhawks announced on Saturday that they had signed Bedard to a five-year deal at $15 million per year.
And that will have Blackhawks fans breathing a sigh of relief.

Bedard was a restricted free agent after completing the final season of his rookie deal last season. That meant the Blackhawks had the exclusive rights to negotiate a new deal with him.
That should never have really been an issue, but offer sheets have been in the news quite a bit this season after the Philadelphia Flyers threw a giant $18 million-a-year deal at Anaheim Ducks star Leo Carlsson.
That meant the Ducks had to match it or lose Carlsson in return for Draft compensation. In the end, they matched, but it puts them on the back foot for other RFAs they need to sign, like Cutter Gauthier and Beckett Sennecke.
Bedard would be an offer sheet target, and while he would need to agree to it, it was still in the Blackhawks' best interest to get an extension done ASAP and lock up their franchise centerpiece.
And I think it's a deal both sides will be pleased with.

Bedard's NHL career has been a little up-and-down due to injury, but he has shown flashes of the kind of greatness people expected when he got to the NHL.
Given Carlsson's $18 million AAV, Chicago has to like that they were able to get Bedard at $15 million AAV.
Now, Bedard will need to put up numbers that justify the deal. According to Puckpedia, the deal carries a full no-move clause but only in the fifth and final year of the deal.
That means if, for whatever reason, things don't work out, the Blackhawks can deal him without having to go through the headache of him waiving his no-move clause or giving the thumbs-up to any trades.
England beats France in instant classic to earn third place at 2026 FIFA World Cup
It's the game that no one ever wants to play in, but there was still a lot on the line for both England and France in the third-place match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
Both teams hit the pitch at Miami Stadium (also known as Hard Rock Stadium) after some tough semifinal losses: France to Spain, and England to reigning champs Argentina.
France was looking for redemption after coming up short in a tournament where they were widely viewed to be the favorite. Plus, this match presented an opportunity for French star Kylian Mbappe to overtake Argentina's Lionel Messi in the Golden Boot race.

However, they were up against an England team that had played well throughout the tournament and was 2-1 against them in World Cup matches. Their two most offensively potent players this tournament, Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, both started the match on the bench.
Well, in the early going, it turns out that England had enough offensive firepower to get things started.
In just the 3rd minute, Declan Rice hit paydirt to open the scoring.
Only about ten minutes later, England put another one in the back of the net; however, it was deemed to have been offside.
But even with the big guns sitting on the bench, England was easily the more offensively productive team early, with Ezri Konsa adding another off of a corner in the 18th minute.
But why not make it three?
In the 37th minute, Bukayo Saka scored a goal that was certainly not how the Three Lions would've drawn it up, but it counts just the same.
And while you're at it, Mr. Saka, just tack on another for good measure.

England took a 4-0 lead into halftime after one of the most lopsided first halves of the tournament, and few expected France to be on the receiving end, especially with Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham still on the bench.
And, honestly, it could've been worse.
Fortunately for France, they did exactly what they needed to and came out firing in the second half. Mbappe got them on the board in the 48th minute, and put himself ahead of Messi in the Golden Boot race, and even with him in career World Cup goals at 21.
Then, just minutes later, France's Bradley Barcola added another to make it a 4-2 game.
So, while the first half was all England, the second was all about France, and in the 66th minute, Mbappe made it 4-3, while also extending his Golden Boot lead and taking over the top spot on the all-time World Cup goals list.
What. A. Match.
Who cares about third place, right?
But after getting several opportunities to tie it up, England was awarded a penalty kick, and that went to Bukayo Saka, who buried it for the hat trick and to give England a little breathing room late in the match.
It's hard to believe he didn't play a single minute in the semifinal loss to Argentina, right?
And that breathing room was important, because France wasn't going to go quietly.
But England answered back immediately with a beauty from Jude Bellingham, his seventh of the tournament, and that was all she wrote.
Unbelievable.
The final score was, incredibly, 6-4. That was the most goals scored in a World Cup third-place match ever, topping the one in 1958 between France and West Germany.
With that win, England may have come up short when it comes to bringing a World Cup title back home, but that was their best finish in a World Cup since they won it in 1966.
It was an incredible match, and now there's only one left and its for the World Cup title.
Spain and Argentina will meet on Sunday afternoon at New York-New Jersey Stadium, with the match scheduled to start at 3 pm ET.
Boston police investigate death at home owned by Rep. Ayanna Pressley's husband
Boston police are investigating after a deceased person was found at or near a property owned by the husband of Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., Fox News Digital has confirmed.
Officers responded to a residence in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood around 1:52 p.m. Saturday.
Police said they found a person who was deceased. The Boston Police Homicide Unit is investigating the death.
Property records filed in Suffolk County identify the home as being owned by Conan Harris, Pressley's husband, according to the Boston Herald.
The property is listed as an eight-bedroom, four-bath, 2,713-square-foot multifamily home, the outlet reported.

Bernie Sanders dismisses Haley Stevens, says Michigan race is against the 'billionaire class'
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., took a swipe at Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich., on Saturday, saying Michigan's Democratic Senate primary isn't about her, but about whether the "billionaire class" can stop progressive candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
Sanders — joined by progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the Detroit Opera House rally — delivered the remarks to voters alongside El-Sayed, who is set to face Stevens in Michigan's Aug. 4 primary.
"In all due respect to Haley Stevens, everybody knows that this is not an election between her and Abdul," Sanders said. "This is an election between Abdul and the billionaire class. That is what this election is about."

Sanders said wealthy donors and outside groups have poured unprecedented sums into the race to defeat El-Sayed, whom he has endorsed as one of the leading progressive candidates running for the Senate this cycle.
"The billionaire class, which has already — and there are two weeks left to go in the election — has already spent $50 million against him," Sanders said. "Now I want everybody here throughout the state, people turning on the TVs, and they see all these ads, I want you to ask yourself a simple question: Why are the richest people in the country spending tens and tens of millions of dollars to defeat Abdul El-Sayed?"
Sanders claimed outside groups have outspent El-Sayed's campaign by a margin of 12-to-1, portraying the flood of spending as evidence that powerful interests view the progressive candidate as a threat.
According to AdImpact, super PACs backing Stevens are spending about $26.9 million on TV ads during the final five weeks of the primary, compared with roughly $2.1 million backing El-Sayed.

WNBA suspends Tempo coach Sandy Brondello for 'protected species' comment about Angel Reese
The WNBA has suspended Toronto Tempo head coach Sandy Brondello without pay for one game for using the term "protected species" while referring to Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese.
During the Dream's 111-92 win over Toronto on Friday, Toronto's Nyara Sabally fouled Reese after an offensive rebound.
As the call was being reviewed, Brondello yelled at the referees. Microphones picked her up saying, "Angel, she's a protected species!"

The WNBA announced Saturday evening that Brondello will now miss the Tempo's next game against the Las Vegas Aces.

Brondello issued a written apology earlier on Saturday.
"Angel, I'm sorry. Last night, in the emotion of the moment after Nyara's injury, I used a phrase that I shouldn't have used, and I take full responsibility for that. My frustration was with the officiating, but my words unfairly put the focus on you," she wrote.
"I also understand that my words carried an impact beyond what I intended, particularly for Black women in our league, and I'm deeply sorry for that," she continued. "I've spent my career competing with, coaching and learning from incredible Black women.
"I regret that my words caused hurt to a community I respect so deeply," Brondello added. "I have a lot of respect for you as both a player and a person, and I sincerely apologize to you, your teammates, and the Dream organization for my comment."
After last night's game, Reese made a post on social media referencing Brondello's comment. Reese shared a post that appeared to interpret the comment as racially charged.
Brondello is from Australia, where the term "protected species" has been used in Australian sports environments to express frustration over a lack of calls against a player.
Mamdani says NYC is exploring whether it can arrest Netanyahu if Israeli leader visits for UN General Assembly
Far-left New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said his administration is actively exploring whether the city has the legal authority to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits New York for this month's United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), escalating one of his sharpest criticisms yet of the foreign leader.
In remarks first reported by The New York Times, Mamdani called Netanyahu a "war criminal" who "belongs in the Hague" and said his administration is in an "active conversation" with the city's Law Department over what legal authority New York City possesses should the Israeli prime minister travel to the Big Apple.
The comments from self-described Democratic socialist Mamdani raises questions about the limits of a mayor's authority over foreign affairs and whether New York City could take legal action against a visiting head of government.

The mayor's office did not immediately respond.
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz slammed Mamdani's remarks as "pure political theater," saying the mayor has no legal authority to arrest Netanyahu.
In a post on X, Waltz argued that the U.S. is not party to the ICC's founding treaty, the U.N. Headquarters Agreement protects visiting heads of government, head-of-state immunity applies and "federal authority trumps any local mayor's wishes."
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in November 2024, over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity tied to Israel's military campaign in Gaza.
