Caitlin Clark listed as probable for Fever-Valkyries rematch following early season back issues
The latest development in Caitlin Clark’s closely followed season arrived about 24 hours before tip off of the Indiana Fever’s latest game.
Clark was listed as probable ahead of Thursday’s matchup with the Golden State Valkyries as she continues to deal with a back issue early in the WNBA season.
Meanwhile, all signs point to teammate Bree Hall also being available to suit up.

Caitlin Clark was a late scratch for the Fever’s May 20 matchup against the Portland Fire, marking her first missed game of the season. Even without Clark, Indiana rolled to a 90-73 victory. The Fever hit the 90-point mark again last Friday, this time in a win over the Valkyries.
While there were some concerns about Clark’s availability leading into last week’s Fever-Valkyries game, those worries proved short-lived. Clark returned to the starting lineup and scored a team-high 22 points to help lift Indiana to its third consecutive victory.
Clark’s promising start to her WNBA career was interrupted by injuries in 2025. After appearing in 40 games and winning Rookie of the Year in 2024, Clark was limited to just 13 appearances last season due to a groin strain and ankle-bone bruise.

On Wednesday, during the Fever’s off day ahead of Thursday’s Golden State-Indiana rematch, Clark was spotted about a mile from the Valkyries’ home arena attending the San Francisco Giants' game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Clark attended the game alongside her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, the former Iowa basketball player.
McCaffery and Clark were seen wearing Giants hats at Oracle Park, though Clark has previously acknowledged her Phillies fandom — even if the team was not originally her top choice.
"My boyfriend grew up a really big Phillies fan, so I kinda had to like the Phillies. I do like them, I love Bryce Harper. I still like the Cubs, I like the Yankees. I’m not like a diehard any baseball team. My dad was a big Royals fan," the two-time WNBA All-Star said in 2024.
"Kansas City was like a professional sports team to us. I liked the Chiefs before the Chiefs were really good too, so I’m not a bandwagoner either. I like the Phillies, so I’ll cheer for them this postseason."

Kendrick Perkins involved in altercation at son's AAU basketball game after player was allegedly body slammed
Former NBA center and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins was involved in an altercation at one of his son’s recent AAU basketball games in Norman, Oklahoma.
Perkins is known on-screen as someone who doesn’t mind having a verbal argument about sports with his colleagues, but a video from the AAU game via TMZ Sports shows the 6-foot-10 big man being held back as he screamed at someone not seen in the video.
Perkins coaches his son’s YPG Perkins team, and things were getting chippy against their opponent, Swaveway Playaz. However, a non-basketball foul sent the 2008 NBA champion over the edge.

Perkins can be seen yelling toward someone, while coaches on his team were pushing him away to alleviate the tension.
As the video went viral, Perkins responded to it on social media.
"Damn right, and it probably won’t be the last time!" Perkins wrote on X. "I’m going to protect every single kid in my organization like they’re my own."

Perkins also addressed the altercation during an appearance on ESPN’s "The Pat McAfee Show," where he made the stance he was trying to protect his players.
"We’re in a tournament; it’s a heated game. 17U, they’re going back and forth or whatever," Perkins said. "We end up winning the game, all right cool. The other team, they had this guy who’s like 7-foot, 400 pounds. After the game, he comes and he body slams one of my kids who plays for my team. I stay seated and then I get up ‘cause everybody’s running around. The players, they’re about to fight. So, as a responsible owner of the organization, I get up and, ‘Hey man, y’all need to chill,’ X-Y-Z. I’m grabbing my players. I tell the coach of the other team, ‘Hey bro, get your players. I got mine.’ He pops off. ‘I ain’t getting nothing, I ain’t getting nothing. Who the hell are you.’
"The kid that got slammed to the ground, his parents weren’t at the game. So, his parents trusted me with their child. So, I gotta protect that child as if he’s mine. I’m going to stand up for him, even though I didn’t go over there with bad intentions, I gotta make sure that kid is OK and he makes it back home to his parents. He’s a young man, but again, he plays in my organization. So, I gotta make sure, by any means necessary, that he’s safe."
Before Perkins was on-air talking about the NBA, the Texas native played 14 seasons in the league, helping the Boston Celtics win the 2008 title.
He spent eight of those seasons in Boston, averaging 6.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, developing into a starting center for his squad.
During the 2010-11 season, Perkins was traded from the Celtics to the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he spent five seasons. He also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans before retiring from the league.

Bomani Jones becomes latest commentator to criticize Jaxson Dart for introducing Donald Trump: 'embarrassing'
Surprisingly, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has become the story of the 2026 NFL offseason. Particularly among some commentators or media members who have a specific political association that heavily impacts their feelings toward certain athletes.
Dart introduced President Donald Trump at a recent rally, giving a mostly unremarkable, brief speech. And in doing so, set off a firestorm of criticism. Criticism that is rarely levied at athletes who speak out in favor of left-wing politicians.
For example, former player and current NFL analyst Emmanuel Acho said it was "pretty stupid" for Dart to introduce Trump. It's impossible to believe that Dart would receive the same criticism if he introduced Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or Kamala Harris.

Well, add former ESPN commentator Bomani Jones to the list of commentators who have jumped in to criticize Dart while ignoring other athletes' political endorsement.
"This idea that we don't care about the politics of athletes...yes, we do," Jones said in a recent episode of his "The Right Time with Bomani Jones" show. "Now, whether you care enough about the politics that it affects whether or not you root for them on your team, that becomes a different situation and that becomes just a little bit tricky. Like, will you, if you are a Giants fan, will you stop rooting for the Giants because Jaxson Dart is a Trumper? Probably not. But don't tell me you don't care."
He continued by saying he doubts it'll "fracture" the Giants' locker room, despite Abdul Carter's comments.
"What struck me about this — and I also want to be clear about this — the whole 'this is going to fracture the locker room' thing. NFL locker rooms are wild, segregated, and full of white players who support Trump and black players who support Trump. Okay, that is no revolutionary rule. That's not how the NFL works."

But Jones then goes after Dart by implying he's "embarrassing" other players and that "standing" with Trump is an outsized offense compared to other politicians.
"...And this is what I'm saying to Jaxson Dart: 'Take that monkey s--- off. You embarrassing us,'" Jones said. "And what I'm talking about is this, you in here, think about all the love that he got for them chains when he out here doing dances and all of this stuff. I guarantee you it's a few cats in there that was like, 'Oh, he cool.'
"I do think that it is important to note that Trump is not the same as any other politician. Like, standing with Trump, and people having a problem with it is not just, 'I disagree with your politics.' Somebody went up there and stood with Curtis Sliwa during the mayoral election...it's not going to be a thing. This is very particularly about this very particular man."
That's the problem. Left-wing commentators, like Bomani Jones, treat Trump as though he is an unimaginable evil. Then create rules around behavior based on their wildly inaccurate opinions. While also ignoring that the left also compared Mitt Romney, a very moderate Republican figure, to Hitler. Of course Dart would receive criticism from sports media for introducing any right-wing politician, because sports media is dominated by the political left and they do not tolerate opposition.
Jones would never criticize Abdul Carter, to use a relevant example, for joining Kamala Harris on stage. Because he supports Kamala Harris and views her policies and positions as reasonable and necessary. He refuses to accept that a sizable portion of the United States feels the same way about Trump's policies and positions. Dart must be chastised, because Trump is uniquely unacceptable. Even though just a year and a half ago, he won the popular vote and carried 31 of the 50 states.
Harris is not uniquely unacceptable to Jones, so therefore she is not divisive. It's predictable, ridiculous, and absurd. In short, it's the perfect example of modern left-wing sports commentary.

WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark is in the Bay Area and drawing crowds before even stepping onto the hardwood.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Indiana Fever superstar took advantage of an off day to catch some MLB action at Oracle Park.
Unfortunately, she had to sit through Giants baseball, but McCovey Cove's picturesque views certainly made the detour worth it.

Clark and her boyfriend, former Iowa basketball player Connor McCaffery, were spotted sitting in the premium owners’ seats next to the San Francisco Giants’ dugout during their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Naturally, the TV cameras found her immediately. Clark sported a silver-scripted "SF" Giants hat.

To further showcase her WNBA star power, Clark's appearance at Oracle only added more buzz to Thursday night’s highly anticipated matchup at Chase Center, where the Fever will face the Valkyries.

The matchup will bear some tension following last Friday’s heated game, when Clark silenced critics by returning from a back injury to post 22 points and nine assists in an Indiana victory.
After clashing with Clark during the game, Hayes was caught on a hot mic complaining that officials were favoring the Fever star.
Hayes later drew criticism online after interacting with hostile posts about Clark, including one exchange where she appeared to laugh at a fan suggesting a physical threat against the Fever star.
WNBA fans have since called for disciplinary action from a league that critics say has repeatedly looked the other way when tensions involving Clark boil over.

RFK Jr. responds to snake-handling critics with new video showing him wrangling a venomous rattlesnake
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shared another snake-handling video Wednesday after social media users raised concerns over his earlier encounter with a pair of black racer snakes.
Kennedy Jr. posted an Instagram video captioned, "In response to the many comments about venomous snakes, this video shows how Cheryl and I handled a recent rattlesnake rescue."
The clip begins with Kennedy Jr. sitting in his home office before someone alerts him to a snake in the driveway.
"Hold on, guys. I'll be back in a flash," he says before grabbing a bucket and a small net and heading outside.

The HHS secretary then carefully scoops up the rattlesnake as onlookers react in amazement.
After placing the snake in a bucket, Kennedy Jr. later pins it behind the head and lifts it toward the camera while explaining how to identify the reptile.
"His fangs are in there. I don't want to touch them," he said. "This is a beautiful snake. This is a Western Diamondback. You can tell by these rings at the end of his tail."
Kennedy Jr. then asked his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, to bring him a pillowcase before transporting and releasing the snake back into the wild.

The Instagram post appeared to respond directly to criticism and concern sparked by another snake video Kennedy Jr. shared Tuesday on X.
In that clip, Kennedy Jr. grabbed two black North American racer snakes with his bare hands while visiting Dr. Mehmet Oz's patio as Hines watched in apparent horror.
"Honey, honey ... why?" Hines yelled as Kennedy Jr. cornered the snakes.
Kennedy Jr. then lunged at the reptiles and eventually lifted both by their tails as they repeatedly bit his hands.
"Black snakes, they're biting me," Kennedy Jr. said with a smile.
The snakes continued striking at his hands as Hines pleaded, "Bobby, please! Bobby, Bobby, please," before later telling him, "You are nuts."
Kennedy Jr. later posted the video to X with the caption, "Cheryl cheerleads the removal of a pair of Black Racers from Dr Oz's patio."
According to the Florida Museum of Natural History, black racer snakes are nonvenomous and generally harmless to humans, though they will "readily bite to defend themselves."
The earlier video showed Kennedy Jr. handling nonvenomous snakes, while Wednesday’s Instagram clip focused on a venomous Western Diamondback rattlesnake, prompting some social media users to question whether the HHS secretary was taking unnecessary risks.

Nebraska K9 sniffs out 525 pounds of cocaine during routine traffic stop, leading to California man's arrest
More than 500 pounds of suspected cocaine were discovered during a Nebraska traffic stop after a police K9 alerted troopers to the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle, authorities said.
The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) said troopers arrested a suspect Wednesday after finding approximately 525 pounds of suspected cocaine and 9.3 grams of suspected heroin inside the vehicle.
Authorities credited the discovery largely to K9 Gable.
"Amazing work today by Troopers and K9 Gable, who sniffed out 525 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on I-80," the NSP posted on X.

"The nose knows," the agency added.
The Nebraska State Patrol K9 Division also praised the operation.
"Our handler and his PSD had an AMAZING traffic stop today," the unit posted on X. "PSD Gable assisted in locating approximately 525 lbs of suspected Cocaine."

"Our handlers and their PSDs will find you," the post added.
According to authorities, a Nebraska trooper stopped the vehicle Wednesday morning after observing it following too closely behind a semi-truck.
During the stop, K9 Gable alerted troopers to the odor of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle, police said.

Troopers later searched the vehicle and discovered hundreds of pounds of suspected cocaine along with suspected heroin, authorities said.
The driver, identified as 23-year-old Gurarppan Gill of Yuba City, California, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver.
The seizure comes after several law enforcement agencies across the country have reported major K9-assisted drug busts in recent months.
Last month, a Florida Highway Patrol K9 helped troopers uncover more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana hidden inside an RV during a traffic stop, Fox 35 Orlando reported.

Audience members packed the venue for the intimate performance, which blended live music with personal reflections on military service, loss, resilience and recovery.

The Trump Kennedy Center’s board voted unanimously earlier this year to approve the renovation project and a planned two-year closure beginning after July 4.

A prime example of the love and respect Allen has gotten as the Bills' MVP quarterback was on display when he visited a school full of kids waiting to see their favorite player on Wednesday.

The Bills’ social media team showed the moment Allen surprised kids at recess.
"Hi, guys!" Allen yelled over the fence.

"It’s Josh Allen!" the kids screamed as they ran to the fence to great Allen. Some of the taller students were able to jump to give Allen a high-five, but everyone got a chance to meet the quarterback.
"Yes, I’m Josh Allen. That’s me!" he said, high-fiving all the kids on the turf field he visited.
"You’re my favorite football player," many of them said.
Allen quickly jumped into a game with the kids, the classic, "I’m thinking of a number between 1–100," which they started to quickly shout out. Allen was thinking of his jersey number, No. 17, which a few of the kids were wearing during the sunny day.
One of the kids finally called out 17, and the group went crazy as Allen confirmed it was his number.
While Allen has always been one to impact the Buffalo community, he recently became a father himself with his wife, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld.
Steinfeld gave birth to their baby girl last month, and Allen noted already feeling the effects of fatherhood on a daily basis.
"I think it definitely changes the mindset a little bit. I am very excited," He said, via the team’s website. "I do think this is going to be the best version of myself in all aspects in my professional career and my personal life. …That ‘want to win’ will never change. The ‘why I want to do it’ has."
Allen added that he wants to show his family, especially his daughter, how hard you need to work to accomplish your dreams and goals.
Allen’s work ethic has never been questioned since the Bills drafted him in the first round out of Wyoming in 2018. Yet a Super Bowl appearance, despite Allen’s greatness and Buffalo’s success, has remained out of reach since he entered the league.
However, Allen’s spirit has never wavered, and no matter what happens on the field, he has always worn his heart on his sleeve during events like these with kids.
Kids who will always remember the day they met their favorite player.

Super Bowl champion Parris Campbell retires from NFL at 28, Cowboys announce
Wide receiver Parris Campbell is joining a growing list of players stepping away from football. Following his retirement decision, the Dallas Cowboys placed the 28-year-old on the reserve/retired list Wednesday.
"Parris Campbell is hanging up his cleats in 2026. The veteran wide receiver has made the decision to officially retire from the NFL, also ending his time with the Dallas Cowboys, and will be moved to the team’s Reserve/Retired List," the Cowboys said via their team's official website.
Campbell spent time on injured reserve and the practice squad last season and did not appear in a regular-season game for Dallas before signing a reserve/futures contract in January.

Campbell’s most recent NFL regular-season action came with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024, when he caught six passes across five games and won a Super Bowl.

Before entering the NFL, Campbell starred at Ohio State. The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Dallas now has two open roster spots on its 90-man roster, with one opening existing before Campbell’s retirement decision.
Parris Campbell will turn 29 in less than two months. The Cowboys open voluntary organized team activities in June.

Father admits leaving handgun within reach of young daughters before toddler fatally shot baby sister
A Kansas father admitted he left a handgun within reach of his young daughters before his 3-year-old child fatally shot her 1-year-old sister inside the family’s Wichita home, according to court records and a police affidavit.
Michael Tejeda, 26, pleaded guilty last week to second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and two counts of aggravated child endangerment in connection with the February 2025 shooting, according to Sedgwick County court records.
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped a more serious charge of first-degree murder committed during the commission of a felony.
The shooting happened Feb. 28 at the family’s home in Wichita. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Wichita-based ABC affiliate KAKE, Tejeda called 911 after the shooting and told dispatchers his older daughter had shot his younger daughter.

Authorities said Tejeda later admitted he had fallen asleep while watching the children while their mother was away from the home. Investigators said he told police he had been carrying a handgun in a prop holster that did not properly secure the firearm.
Tejeda told investigators he eventually removed the handgun and placed it on the mantel above the living room fireplace before going into a bedroom to change clothes, according to the affidavit.
"I knew better, should've put it somewhere else," Tejeda told investigators, according to court documents.

Moments later, Tejeda told police he heard a loud bang and saw his 3-year-old daughter crying before discovering the 1-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to the head on a couch in the living room.
"He went into the living room and found [the 1-year-old] with a gunshot wound to her head while she was lying on the couch," the affidavit states. "Tejeda said he found his firearm lying on the couch next to [the child]."
Investigators said Tejeda acknowledged his older daughter had previously shown curiosity about the firearm before the shooting.

The surviving child was later taken to a child advocacy center for a forensic interview, according to the affidavit. Authorities said the girl did not discuss the shooting during the interview.
Both prosecutors and defense attorneys are expected to recommend a midrange sentence under Kansas guidelines, with the sentences running consecutively, according to local NBC affiliate KSNW.
Tejeda is scheduled to be sentenced July 9.
Representatives for both the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and Wichita Police Department did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
