Texas elementary school teacher accused of sexually assaulting child as police search for more victims
An elementary school teacher in San Antonio, Texas, has been arrested and charged with continuous sexual assault of a child.
Authorities said in a Facebook post Tuesday that Cecilia Mueller, 46, was taken into custody Monday after an investigation.
Police said they are concerned there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
According to the arrest report, a 20-year-old man told authorities he had been in Mueller's fifth-grade class at Lewis Elementary School during the 2016-17 school year.

Throughout the year, he became one of her "favorites" and engaged in conversations about crushes and other inappropriate topics. Members of that group would sometimes eat lunch with her in the classroom, where he alleged she showed them explicit music videos and, on one occasion, a pornographic video, and played Truth or Dare, at times daring students to kiss each other.
He also said she instructed the students not to tell their parents, warning she could get into serious trouble.
The unnamed victim alleged his former teacher also kissed him in a closet in her classroom and engaged in other sexual acts. He said the abuse ended after the school year, when she reportedly told him not to tell anyone about what they did and to contact her when he turned 18, adding that it would "ruin him," according to the arrest report.
Mueller worked in the Northside Independent School District (NISD), teaching at Lewis Elementary School until June 2019 before transferring to Henderson Elementary School in August 2019, where she has taught since.

She has been placed on leave by NISD Employee Relations, district officials told News 4 San Antonio. District officials said they are cooperating with the investigation.
The San Antonio Police Department and Northside Independent School District did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is just weeks away, and as I do every four years or so, I'm jonesing for some World Cup soccer.
However, this year's tournament is bringing with it some new rules, one of which might be one of the goofiest I've ever heard.
Want to cover your mouth while jawing with an opponent? Not unless you want a red card, you don't, pal.
According to The Athletic, FIFA has rolled out some new rules that give officials the latitude to issue players red cards if they cover their mouths during a confrontation with an opponent.

It's being left up to the on-field official to decide, based on the circumstances, whether or not to whip out the ol' red card.
Now, the reason for this dates back to an incident in which Real Madrid player Vinicius Jr. accused Benfica player Gianluca Prestianni of making racist comments. Prestianni denied this, but had his jersey over his mouth the entire time.
He was ultimately banned by UEFA for six matches after admitting to making homophobic comments during the incident, though three of those matches were suspended and also include one match in which he served under a preliminary suspension.
"If a player covers his mouth and says something, and this has a racist consequence, then he has to be sent off, obviously," FIFA president Gianni Infantino said in an interview with Sky News shortly after the incident. "There must be a presumption that he has said something he shouldn’t have said, otherwise he wouldn’t have had to cover his mouth."
A "presumption"? So, now if you've got your mouth covered, you're saying something racist. There's no other possible explanation!

Of course not.
Sure, if someone feels like the pitch is a good place to get racist, send them off... but, now we're just assuming anyone who covers their mouth is saying something racist or homophobic?
That doesn't seem like a smart direction to head in, does it? Especially after one incident.
I agree that if a player covers his mouth while chirping an opponent, it's likely because he doesn't want it to be heard or lip-read. But that doesn't mean it's something racist or homophobic.
I'm not proud of it, but I can think of a lot of chirps that most people would not want broadcast to millions that don't fall into either of those buckets.
Anyone who has played a sport at any level — high school, college, pro, beer league — can.
Racist and/or homophobic comments aren't something you want in the game, but these new rules that arrive in time for the World Cup seem to run the risk of going too far.
In fact, it seems reasonable to believe that we could see a player get smeared as a racist homophobe because he covered his mouth, even if that wasn't the case at all.

All too often, people bring in a rule like this under the premise of "fighting racism and homophobia" without seemingly weighing the consequences of how it might backfire.
And this one seems to have some serious backfirin' potential in my opinion.
So, if you're a soccer player and you don't want people lip-reading your non-racist and non-homophobic chirps, you've still got about a month and a half to hone your ventriloquism chops.

Opening day at Six Flags St. Louis ended early on Saturday with police on the scene. They were called after multiple brawls involving as many as 100 people, most of whom were juveniles, broke out at the park.
This particular amusement park is one of seven properties that were recently sold by the main Six Flags company to a new owner, Enchanted Parks. There was apparently a need to set the tone early with the new ownership.
Park guests weren’t going to be waiting around until the blistering heat of the middle of the summer, with scooters everywhere you turn clogging up walkways, to let tensions erupt. This was going down on day one of the new season, in the spring, to get those expectations in the books.
Eureka Police Chief Michael Werges told First Alert 4 that officers responded to the scene quickly and were able to disperse the crowd before the chaos went any further. About a half a dozen or so juveniles were detained as a result of the fighting.

But, according to Chief Werges, there were no injuries reported and, thankfully, no damage done to the amusement park. Could you imagine a world where the park had to be shut down for repairs due to damage from an out-of-control 100-person fight on opening day?
That would be un-American. We have to have the freedom to overpay for entrance into an amusement park to then stand in long lines, sweat our asses off and eat garbage while dodging an unbelievable number of overweight people on scooters.
I was prepared to be extremely upset on behalf of the people of Eureka, Mo., had they gone beyond closing the park on opening day early. I don’t want to see anyone denied the joys of your average trip to Six Flags or any other amusement park for that matter.
Think of the Dippin' Dots. An amusement park many years ago was the first place that I was introduced to "the ice cream of the future." What if that experience was taken from a small child?

DHS taunts media for reporting about ‘Green Bay man’ illegal immigrant charged in vicious machete attack
FIRST ON FOX: The Department of Homeland Security called out the legacy media for characterizing the perpetrator of a recent Wisconsin machete attack as a "Green Bay man" when he is actually an illegal alien from Nicaragua.
Fox News Digital has learned that David Joel Herrera-Garcia, 24, who is charged with two counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault and armed burglary, is an illegal immigrant who was marked as a "non-enforcement priority" by the Biden administration, according to DHS.
Herrera-Garcia’s charges stem from an alleged break-in and machete attack at the home of his ex-girlfriend. Citing local reports, DHS said the Green Bay police responding to an emergency call discovered bloodied female and male victims in the early morning of April 20. The agency said that police on the scene found blood "all over the concrete" leading up to the house. The woman, Herrera-Garcia’s 23-year-old ex-girlfriend, identified him as the attacker, and he was arrested later that morning.
DHS has lodged an immigration detainer for Herrera-Garcia for the Brown County Jail to turn him over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for possible deportation. The agency commented that "despite the legacy media calling Herrera-Garcia a ‘Green Bay man,’ he is in fact an illegal alien from Nicaragua."
"Yet again, legacy media has gone to bat for a vicious criminal illegal alien allowed by the Biden administration to roam our streets and prey upon innocent people," remarked Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis in a statement shared with Fox News Digital.
The agency said that Herrera-Garcia allegedly used a key to enter his ex-girlfriend’s home before proceeding to beat her and repeatedly stab her and a man with a machete.
Officers responding to the emergency call applied tourniquets to the victims, who were transported to a hospital. The female victim suffered a head injury and lacerations on her hand and neck. The male victim, whose age was not given, sustained wounds on his shoulder, forearm and shin.
According to DHS, Herrera-Garcia entered the country illegally in Texas as a minor with his father in 2019. He was given a final order of removal in 2022 after he failed to appear at his immigration hearings. However, the agency said that in the final days of the Biden administration, ICE used its prosecutorial discretion to label Herrera-Garcia as a "non-enforcement priority." The agency said that ICE under former President Joe Biden chose not to take him into custody following an arrest by local law enforcement on charges of driving without a license.
"The Biden administration marked this criminal illegal alien as a non-enforcement priority," said Bis.
"This is not a ‘Green Bay man.’ This is a criminal illegal alien from Nicaragua who barbarically attacked two people with a machete," she added. "Under President Trump’s leadership, ICE lodged an arrest detainer with our local authorities to ensure this monster is never released back into our communities."
This comes amid heightened scrutiny on jurisdictions across the country with sanctuary policies limiting cooperation with ICE.
Bis has previously slammed sanctuary politicians, saying that "at every step on the way to make America safe again," they "have tried to slow ICE down and chosen to release criminals from their jails into our communities to perpetrate more crimes and create more victims."

Former Nebraska senator battling cancer warns people have 'stopped making babies'
Former Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse lamented how current generations have "stopped having babies" despite living in a richer world.
"What in the world is happening with the natalism crisis?" Sasse asked on "60 Minutes Overtime" Sunday. "All across the industrialized, rich world, people have just stopped having babies in the last couple of decades."
Sasse added that, out of every demographic, only Mormons and specific Jewish populations have replacement-level birth rates, a detail he found "super weird."
"We've stopped having sex," he said. "Sex has collapsed demographically, premarital, extramarital, marital. It is very weird. I don't have a phone on me, but that we carry around these super devices in our pockets that have distracted us from some of the most fundamental human activities and aspirations.
"Having a baby is a bet on the future," Sasse continued. "And almost everywhere in the world — and the world is richer and richer and richer statistically than it's ever been — people have decided actually babies are kind of an inconvenience.
"Babies have always been an inconvenience and the most glorious thing you can do to enrich your family and to make a bet on the future," he added. "How weird that we've stopped having sex. We've stopped making babies. We've decided that being distracted by a dopamine hit around Candy Crush might be a good way to spend your time. Not if you're a full human."
Sasse, a Republican who represented Nebraska between 2015 and 2023, shared in December 2025 that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer and initially given only three to four months to live.
After beating the odds, Sasse has credited a new "miracle drug" called daraxonrasib and his faith for helping to prolong his life.
In a February interview, Sasse reflected on how his "death sentence" and his faith have reshaped his view on life and his past accomplishments.

"One thing I tell my kids a lot is, 'Man, I wish I'd taken the Lord's Day more seriously more in my life, because it's a really good antidote to all those idolatries,'" Sasse said.

Colbert calls Trump 'authoritarian' but rejects 'partisan' label in exit interview with NY Times
As talk show host Stephen Colbert prepares to depart from his show, he condemned President Donald Trump during a Tuesday interview with The New York Times.
CBS announced in July that it had canceled "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and that it would officially go off the air in May 2026. Liberal critics have accused CBS and Paramount of ending the show to appease Trump and receive approval for a long-planned merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media.
Colbert spoke out about the saga in a New York Times interview headlined, "Stephen Colbert Gets Ready to Hang It Up." When asked by the Times why the FCC and Trump administration are "focused" on him, Colbert argued this is simply authoritarians being authoritarians.
"Authoritarians don’t like anybody who doesn’t give them undue dignity. Comedians are anti-authoritarian by nature. And authoritarians are never going to like anybody to laugh at them," he said. "The number of newspeople who have said to me or Jon Stewart or any of the guys who do this, ‘God, I wish I could say what you say on air.’ And we can."
"I think that upsets them," he added further. "I think it might be upsetting that we really do not live in their world of principalities and powers."
The New York Times interviewer suggested that Colbert is one of many late-night hosts who "have become political targets," and went on to ask, "Given how partisan late night has become, do you have any regrets that it’s gotten to this point?"
"I don’t have any problem with Trump being a Republican," Colbert said, whose fame was launched by acting as a parody of Republican commentators on his show "The Colbert Report." "I have a problem with Trump being a complete narcissist who is only working for his own interest and does not appear to care if the entire world burns. That’s not a partisan position."
"I have eyeballs and ears, and I think calling late-night partisan is just roughing the ref," he continued. "And we don’t even want to be refs, but they perceive us as refs. I reject the partisan description. Partisan means you’re never, ever going to make a joke about a Democrat, and that’s just not true. There’s just no comparison of how fertile the fields are."
Beyond mere costs or allegedly appeasing Trump, many argue that the replacement of Colbert’s iteration of "The Late Show" appears to be a sign of the times in a changing media landscape. The sheer volume of podcasts, which appear to eclipse late-night shows, as well as other media, has weakened their ratings, although the late-night stars all have large online presences.
The final season of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" was recently ripped by Variety as "not very good TV" and out of touch with everyday Americans as the host has been flattered by a parade of liberal celebrities.
When contacted by Fox News Digital, a White House spokesman replied, "Stephen Colbert is a pathetic trainwreck with no talent and terrible ratings, which is exactly why CBS canceled his show and is booting him off the airwaves."
Popular tourist hot spot moves to strip beaches of sunbeds and umbrellas in tough new ban
A top summer destination has expanded its list of protected beaches, banning the rental of sunbeds and other commercial activity ahead of the busy travel season.
Greece, a travel hot spot facing overtourism pressure, added new beaches to its protected list this month, according to a translated statement from Greece's Ministry of the Environment and Energy.
Officials say the total number of protected beaches stands at 250, though some international media have put the figure at 251.

The list has grown from 238 beaches in 2025 and 198 the year before, according to news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) and Greece's Ministry of the Environment and Energy.
The policy applies to Greece's "untrodden beaches," which are typically located in remote and environmentally sensitive coastal areas.
Officials did not specify which beaches were included in the latest update, the statement said.
The measure prohibits commercial use of those beaches, including the rental of sunbeds and umbrellas.

"The amendment aims to ensure the effective protection of beaches with significant aesthetic, geomorphological or ecological value, as well as to preserve habitat types and species of flora and fauna found in these areas," the ministry said in its statement.
In some areas, the measure is aimed at protecting marine life, including endangered species such as monk seals and loggerhead turtles, AFP reported.
The ministry's statement said, "In particular, it expands the number of coastlines and beaches within areas included in the National List of the European Natura 2000 ecological network, where the granting of commercial use and any activity that could harm their natural form or ecological integrity is now prohibited."

The move comes as Greek officials deal with mounting overtourism pressure, particularly on Greece's busiest islands.
Earlier in April, Athens Mayor Haris Doukas said he might limit the number of new hotels built in the city, saying Athens "must not become Barcelona."

Teen’s roadside cold case death probed as homicide as police officer emerges as person of interest: report
More than two decades after a North Carolina teen died in what was considered a hit-and-run, investigators now say a police officer has been identified as a person of interest in the homicide case.
According to reporting by WRAL, investigators have recently focused on a Four Oaks police officer in the 2004 death of 16-year-old Josh Davis. The officer has not been charged, and the extent of any involvement remains unclear.
Davis died Jan. 6, 2004, after he was walking along Hall Boulevard in Garner, according to investigators.
Authorities say Davis and his cousin had been walking through a residential neighborhood when the cousin briefly returned to a nearby home to retrieve something. When he returned minutes later, Davis was bleeding on the side of the road and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Investigators previously believed Davis had been struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run. He was found with a fatal head injury, though for years it remained unclear whether his death was the result of an accident or something more intentional.
Now, more than 20 years later, Garner police are working alongside the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) to pursue new leads. The renewed investigation has gained momentum in recent weeks, with officials confirming in mid-April that new information had emerged.
A search warrant cited by WRAL indicates investigators developed information from a former spouse of the officer who is a person of interest and noted inconsistencies in statements given in 2004 and again in recent interviews.
The officer has been placed on administrative leave, and authorities searched a home in Benson in late March, seizing electronic devices as part of the investigation, the outlet reported.
In a statement shared with WRAL, NCSBI confirmed it is assisting Garner police and actively investigating new leads but declined to provide additional details.
"The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Garner Police Department with information concerning a 2004 cold case," the agency said. "The SBI is actively investigating new leads in this case. At this time, no additional information is available."

As the case resurfaces, Davis’ family is urging anyone with knowledge of what happened to come forward.
"Somebody watching this video knows who killed my brother," his sister, Alyssa Hatcher, said in a recent public message.

Hatcher said she was just 13 years old when her brother died and described the lasting toll on her family, which has spent decades without answers.
"For two decades now, my family has had no answers," she said. "Until now, I feel like we might get a little bit of closure."
In a direct appeal, Hatcher addressed the individual who is responsible for her brother’s death, urging them to speak with investigators.
"I’m not coming at you with anger as Josh’s little sister," she said. "I don’t feel like you set out that night knowing someone would lose their life. … I would just love if you could go talk to the detectives."

She also claimed that people in the community have long discussed what happened that night without reporting it.
"We know that one person who has gone around and talked about that night over and over again," Hatcher said. "Possibly bragged about that night."

Authorities are echoing that call.
"The Garner Police Department is asking for the public’s help in an unsolved homicide case," the agency said in a release, urging anyone with information "no matter how small or seemingly insignificant" to contact investigators.

Patriots captains deflect questions about Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini controversy: 'We're just focused'
While focus should be on the New England Patriots heading into the 2026 season looking for redemption after a Super Bowl loss, the hot-button topic of head coach Mike Vrabel’s relationship with ex-Athletic reporter Dianna Russini was prevalent Tuesday.
Tight end Hunter Henry is obviously aware of the situation at hand with Vrabel, who spent Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft away from the team to seek counseling amid the Russini controversy.
But Henry and the rest of the Patriots are trying to focus on football as much as possible.

"Obviously, you know, I know you guys want to hear about everything that's going on, but to be honest with you, we're just focused," he told reporters on Tuesday, according to Yahoo Sports. "I'm focused on what we got going on right now in this building with this team."
Henry, a team captain, added he’s "just focused on the guys in this locker room and trying to build it from the ground up." In other words, he’s not going to be commenting on his head coach’s off-the-field controversy.
Fellow captain Robert Spillane was also asked about Vrabel’s situation, and he echoed Henry’s sentiment.

"Coach coaches football. He keeps the main thing the main thing," Spillane said, according to MassLive. "I know he’s dealing with personal issues. But when we’re in the building, we speak football."
While Spillane wasn’t going to comment on others’ relationship with Vrabel, he did note that he would "be here to support him" because he believes his coach would do the same.
Vrabel spoke publicly about the Russini controversy, and he noted during his statement that he spoke with players.
"I thought he did a great job," Henry said about Vrabel’s handling of the situation when it came out. "It’s been the same Vrabes bringing a lot of energy in the room. So, I mean, obviously, he addressed it. That’s kind of what I’ll say about it."
The Patriots released a statement before the first round of the draft last Thursday, saying they "fully support" Vrabel.
"Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment," the statement said.
"We are confident in the leadership and communication Mike has established with our personnel staff throughout this pre-draft process."

Vrabel was with the Patriots for the first two nights of the draft, but he stepped away for rounds four through seven to seek counseling.
"As I said the other day, I promised my family, this organization and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them," Vrabel said in a statement, according to ESPN.
"In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend. This is something that I have given a lot of thought to and is something I would advise a player to do if I was counseling them."
Vrabel also told reporters he’s had "some difficult conversations with people that I care about" regarding him and Russini being photographed together at a Sedona, Arizona, private resort in his first public comments about the controversial relationship.
Since then, photos have surfaced from 2020 showing Vrabel and Russini kissing at a bar in New York City. The pictures exclusively obtained by the New York Post were taken in the early hours of March 11, 2020.
"They were kissing, and they were all over each other," an eyewitness told the outlet. "He had a ring on."
Russini reportedly married Kevin Goldschmidt, her husband and a Shake Shack executive, six months after the photos were snapped. Goldschmidt and Russini also share two children.
Vrabel has been married to his wife, Jen, since 1999, and they share two sons together. In the pictures, Vrabel’s wedding band is visible on his left hand while conversing with Russini. At the time, Russini was with ESPN, while Vrabel was coaching the Tennessee Titans.
This past month, Vrabel and the former reporter at The Athletic were seen holding hands and hugging at the luxury resort in Arizona. Photos of their intimate interaction were first released in April.
The photos showed the two sunbathing by a pool, in a hot tub and on the roof of a bungalow holding hands and embracing, which caused a league-wide uproar. Russini, the subject of an investigation by her employer, The Athletic, resigned as a result.
Vrabel has since returned to the Patriots as they continue their offseason workout program. The team’s rookie minicamp is also slated for May 8-10.

Heart-stopping video shows middle schoolers saving their bus after driver passes out at the wheel
Heart-stopping video from inside a school bus showed nearly a dozen Mississippi middle school students jumping into action after their bus driver lost consciousness Wednesday behind the wheel.
Video from the Hancock County School District captured the driver, Leah Taylor, passing out during an asthma attack as the bus continued rolling forward.
A student in the front of the bus noticed Taylor slouched over and grabbed the wheel, before she briefly regained consciousness.

Other students ran up to the front of the bus as she collapsed a second time, falling backward.
One boy quickly slammed on the brakes, as a girl administered medication Taylor was holding and others called for help.
Hancock Middle School principal Melissa Saucier told local outlet WLOX she was "not surprised to hear that our kids remained calm and acted swiftly."
"This emergency situation could have definitely been detrimental and they handled it exactly how they should have," Saucier said. "We’re extremely proud of them."
The students — McKenzy Finch, Jackson Casnave, Darrius Clark, Kayleigh Clark and Destiny Cornelius — were commended at a school pep rally, the outlet reported.
Taylor told WLOX she is feeling better and is thankful the students "saved her life."
The Hancock County School District did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
