Top Five hilarious NFL Draft night moments to get the nostalgia flowing
With the NFL Draft upon us, many fans are ready to see their teams select some of their future favorite players.
Draft day is special because it represents the next generation of franchise players, and it's a dream come true for several young athletes.
That's not what we are here to talk about today, though.
While the NFL Draft does have its iconic moments, it is also home to some laugh-out-loud hilarity too.
Below are five of the funniest draft moments in recent memory, from canine hijinks to cannabis ingenuity, and everything in between.
This one was more awkward than hilarious at the time, but with the benefit of hindsight, it's gotten way funnier.
Mel Kiper is no stranger to having some bad takes on quarterbacks during the NFL Draft (Jimmy Clausen says hi), but there's no shame in being wrong.
When you're in the industry long enough, you're going to have some bad takes, but it's the righteous indignation that Kiper speaks with that has this take on the list.
He claims the NFL has gotten quarterback evaluation wrong for the last 50 years, but this is the same guy who said he would retire if Clausen wasn't a successful NFL QB in seven to eight years (he was out of the league in five years and only started 14 games in that timeframe).

His behavior was so grating that even host Rece Davis, the normally stoic straightman, got into a shouting match with Kiper.

Philadelphia Eagles fans are pretty (in)famous for being completely insane.
There's nothing wrong with being dedicated fans, sure, but booing a guy your team just drafted is kind of a bad look.
No one has any idea how these guys will end up panning out, which is exactly what happened when the Birds selected quarterback Donovan McNabb with the second overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft.
Eagles fans wanted running back Ricky Williams, and much like with Kiper's draft day meltdown, this one is even funnier in hindsight.

Williams was a damn good running back, even earning All-Pro honors in 2002, but McNabb wound up being selected to six Pro Bowls and even led the Eagles to within a few minutes of winning the franchise's first Super Bowl.
As much as we think we know as fans, this is one of the many examples that prove we are all just idiots sitting on our couches.
The 2020 NFL Draft was a weird one thanks to that dastardly COVID-19 virus making the rounds throughout the globe, and it made this particular draft rife with comedic fodder.
There were plenty of standout moments, like Poopgate at the Vrabel household, but the star of the 2020 Draft was none other than Bill Belichick's dog.
The Patriots head coach let his pup (named Mike) man the controls for a few minutes while he was away, giving us the now iconic image of man's best friend sitting at the computer in the kitchen, complete with a "Bill Belichick" lower third nameplate.
Everything weird about the 2020 Draft is encapsulated in that image.
What a wild time! It almost doesn't feel real.
In today's day and age, teams rarely use all the time allotted to them in the first round of the NFL Draft; these teams know, more or less, who they are taking.
It wasn't always like this, though.
Hell, they even shortened the "shot clock" from 15 minutes down to 10 starting in 2008, but in 2003, the Minnesota Vikings apparently needed every second and then some to make their selection.
Sitting at number seven, the Vikings were trying to negotiate a trade with the Baltimore Ravens, only to watch their 15 minutes bleed out, becoming the first team in NFL history to forfeit a draft pick for taking too long.

Ironically, the story has a happy ending, as the Vikes selected defensive tackle Kevin Williams with the ninth overall pick, who ended up notching five All-Pro selections in his time in the Twin Cities.

You all knew this was going to be number one.
Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil was a projected top-five pick in 2016, with a number of publications projecting him to be the first overall pick.
All that changed when a video was leaked less than an hour before the start of the draft of Tunsil with a homemade bong-gas mask hybrid that would make Jeff Spicoli proud.
Tunsil plummeted out of the top ten, falling all the way to the 13th pick, where the Miami Dolphins were the beneficiaries of his blunder.
Both Tunsil and his agent revealed that the former Ole Miss Rebel had his accounts hacked, with screenshots being posted of Tunsil texting the assistant athletic director of the university for help with his rent.
While he went on to be a wildly successful left tackle in the NFL, being selected to five Pro Bowls, anytime someone mentions Tunsil's name, the pictures of his THC-tinged lapse of judgment will pop up in anyone's brain first.
Hospice CEO asks Congress how a provider can operate 'out of a burrito stand in California' with no oversight
The CEO of a California hospice advocacy group told congressional lawmakers Tuesday that fraud in the industry is flourishing across the state, questioning how numerous fraudulent providers can continue to operate under the nose of regulators.
Sheila Clark, the president and CEO of the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association (CHAPCA) — a nonprofit that pushes to improve access to quality end-of-life care — told the House Ways and Means Committee that some hospices operate in name only, meaning they have no patients or staff.
Clark said the surge in hospice and home healthcare providers is a symptom of failures across multiple regulatory bodies that degrade patient protections and hurt taxpayers.

"You'd be amazed at how many hospices… the door you can walk up to in California and there is nobody there. Five months' worth of mail that you can see stacked… nobody's there," Clark said. "And that passed a survey. How did that happen?"
"How do you put a hospice in a burrito stand in California?" she quipped. "How do you put a hospice in an entire store in California? That all had to be vetted through licensure and through certification and accreditation."
Dr. Lynn Ianni, a licensed psychotherapist with nearly 40 years of clinical experience who also testified, said she was locked out of her own Medicare benefits for months after she was falsely enrolled in hospice care.
"Imagine being told, in effect, that you are at the end of your life — when you are not — and then being denied access to care because of that error. It was not just frustrating," she said. "It was terrifying."

"A Medicare representative gave me the name of the hospice where I was supposedly enrolled," Ianni added. "I looked it up. It appeared legitimate on the surface—listed on Medicare's own website, with an NPI number, a named CEO, and an address. But the address led to what looked like a strip mall. The phone number went unanswered."
Republican lawmakers have called for investigations into Medicare fraud, particularly in blue states where reports have surfaced detailing hundreds of millions of dollars in fraudulent activity.
The hearing came as the Trump administration has ramped-up efforts nationwide to combat healthcare fraud.
The Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, led by Vice President JD Vance, recently suspended 447 hospices in the Los Angeles area over more than $600 million in suspected fraud. Another crackdown led to charges against more than a dozen people in a brazen multimillion-dollar scheme where people who weren’t even dying were used to bilk taxpayers out of more than $50 million.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom has pushed back on claims that his office has failed to act to combat the issue.
"FACT: The state has no role in the Medicare billing or payment process," his press office wrote on X earlier this month in response to a CBS report on hospice fraud in California. "We are glad the Trump Admin is taking action to combat fraud. Now, if Trump could stop pardoning fraudsters—and hold them accountable—that would be great!"
Arvell Reese says an NFL team will get someone who 'plays the game violently' with 'relentless effort'
With the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft expected to be used on Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza to make him the Las Vegas Raiders' next franchise man, many believe the real start to the festivities in Pittsburgh Thursday night begins with the New York Jets at No. 2 overall.
Some mock drafts ahead of one of the most anticipated nights in pro football have the Jets going edge rusher, and many believe it will be Ohio State standout Arvell Reese.
Reese, an All-American in 2025 and national champion with the Buckeyes in 2024, has everything a team needs to get an immediate impact player at the line of scrimmage come Week 1 in September.

So, what exactly does Reese feel he will bring a franchise, whether he is picked at No. 2 by the Jets or elsewhere?
"I think an NFL team is going to get somebody who loves the game, who loves football. Then, they’re going to get somebody who plays the game violently," Reese told Fox News Digital on the eve of the NFL Draft, while also discussing his partnership with Reese's.
"I play defense, so to play defense at a high level, you have to be playing it violently at all times.
"On top of that, you have to play with relentless effort. So, I think an NFL team is getting that out of me — someone who plays with relentless effort, someone who looks forward to playing violently. You have to look forward to playing it violently."

Reese is among many former Buckeyes who expect to go in the first round Thursday night, including safety Caleb Downs, linebacker Sonny Styles, wide receiver Carnell Tate and defensive tackle Kayden McDonald.
As Reese put it, "If you want to be elite, choose to go to Ohio State." The Cleveland native remained in state when he chose which program he wished to play for in college, and the past three years have led to this moment for one of the most dominant rushers in football last season.
Reese tallied 10 tackles for loss among his 69 combined, and he secured 6½ sacks with two passes defended across 14 games. He ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, and, at 21 years old, experts believe there is much more for Reese to grow into, which is always what teams want from a player who has already proven themselves.
The 6-foot-4, 241-pound Reese said the pre-draft process has been "exciting" and a "blessing," after he visited with teams during top 30 visits, while meeting players and coaches all over the league. And while Reese is a physical specimen who has those intangibles, he understands being a student of the game is crucial.
"The biggest piece of advice or wisdom I’ve gotten from coaches or players is the rookie year you really want to put your head down and work," he said. "You don’t want to do too much talking. You want to put your head down and work.
"[Also], the biggest thing is find a vet and a guy you can pick from and learn things from. Not trying to be exactly like him, but take stuff from his way he prepares and how he approaches practices. Try to add that to your game because there’s a reason vets are still around, guys playing nine, 10 years. It doesn’t just happen out of nowhere. It’s stuff they do daily."
Reese did his visits, developed wisdom, and now it's time to sit back and wait until he hears his name called Thursday night. For a team that needs a violent defender on the line of scrimmage each week, Reese is ready to make that immediate impact expected by being a first-round choice.

It's only right that Reese heads into the NFL with a Reese's partnership, and the famous peanut butter and chocolate candy has collaborated with the first-round talent for a fun wardrobe surprise ahead of his walk down the NFL Draft Red Carpet on Thursday night in Pittsburgh.
"For the suit, we collaborated," Reese revealed during the interview. "I’m excited to be a part of the Reese’s team for the draft."
Reese did not give details on what exactly the suit will look like, but he's excited to be partnering with his favorite candy growing up. It's not just a natural partnership because of the name — he always enjoys Reese's.
"I grew up eating Reese’s. I still currently eat Reese’s," he said, smiling. "My mom used to always give me the Reese’s Cups. I was always looking forward to getting the Reese’s Cups. So, it was natural, and I was excited when I heard about it."

WNBA finally embraces Caitlin Clark's stardom with unprecedented national TV schedule
Though the mean girls and race idolaters don’t like it, Caitlin Clark is more valuable to her respective sport than any other American athlete is to theirs.
Case in point: the WNBA's 2026 television schedule.
On Wednesday, the league announced the Indiana Fever will become the first team in WNBA history to have all 44 regular-season games aired nationally.

For example, DiJonai Carrington and Chennedy Carter exposed themselves as bitter, unhinged, racially-obsessed, cheap-shot artists during Clark’s rookie season. They targeted her with hard fouls on the court and smears on social media.
There will be even more attention on the league this year because of the Fever's national schedule. It will be up to the other women to grow the game beyond just Clark.

DeSantis says he's taking up Jeffries' invitation to 'F around and find out' on Florida redistricting effort
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ invitations to "F around and find out" on redistricting efforts in Florida, the next possible battleground in a nationwide struggle to gain partisan advantages from congressional district maps.
"Please. Be my guest. I will pay for you to come down to Florida to campaign," DeSantis said. "I’ll put you up in the Florida governor’s mansion. We will take you fishing.
"There’s nothing that could be better for Republicans in Florida than to see Jeffries everywhere around this state."
His comments follow remarks from Jeffries on Wednesday morning.

"Our message to Florida Republicans is F around and find out. If they go down the road of a DeSantis dummy-mander … the electoral tide is turning in Florida," Jeffries said.
The standoff demonstrates both parties’ resolve to double down on gerrymandering as a strategy central to winning control of the U.S. House of Representatives in the upcoming 2026 midterms.
Since President Donald Trump urged state lawmakers to expand the GOP’s 217-213 majority by eliminating five Democratic seats in Texas, states including North Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, New York and Georgia have followed suit.
Most recently, voters in Virginia approved a redistricting effort spearheaded by Gov. Abigail Spanberger, a Democrat, to turn her party’s 6-5 advantage in the Commonwealth into a 10-1 majority by extending Republican-leaning districts into Democratic strongholds.
Florida is developing plans to be next.
With a Republican trifecta and eight Democratic-held districts to carve up, DeSantis has called a special session this week to explore the Sunshine State’s options.
"Today, I announced that I will be convening a special session of the Legislature focused on redistricting to ensure that Florida’s congressional maps accurately reflect the population of our state," DeSantis said in his January announcement, citing changing demographics in the state.

Florida’s state constitution forbids individual districts from being drawn "with the intent to favor or disfavor a political party or an incumbent."
Democrats, who have framed their redistricting efforts as retaliatory, have warned that Republicans are stretching their support too thin in some areas, diluting their advantage and inviting challenges in districts that haven’t been competitive in the past.
Jeffries believes that might be the case in Texas, and it could be the case for Florida too.
"The Florida Republicans are going to find themselves in the same situation as Texas Republicans who are on the run right now," Jeffries said.
"Under no circumstances are Texas Republicans picking up five seats. They'll be fortunate if they get two or three, while in California, we are going to get all five. The Republicans are dumbly meandering their way into the minority before a single vote is cast."

It has been a whirlwind 48 hours for both Todd Golden and the Florida Gators.
The 40-year-old head coach received some positive news on Tuesday when his star player, forward Thomas Haugh, announced he was returning to Gainesville for his senior season of basketball.
This news come on the heels of other starters Alex Condon and Boogie Fland both announcing they would be forgoing the NBA Draft and returning to school.
Even center Rueben Chinyelu is expected to be back even though he declared for the draft not too long ago.
While all the pieces are coming back on a team that is likely to be the overwhelming preseason number one team, Golden's decision on whether he wanted to be back in Orange and Blue next season got a bit more complicated when it was rumored the Golden State Warriors would be looking his way should coach Steve Kerr inevitably exit stage left.
But with a core as talented as this one and a chance to add another trophy to his mantle, the choice was easy for Golden.

Booking.com data breach exposes traveler data to scams
You probably didn't expect a travel booking platform to send you into a security spiral. Yet here we are.
Booking.com confirmed that hackers may have accessed customer data, including names, email addresses, phone numbers and booking details. That is enough information to make scam messages look real.

The company sent email notifications to affected customers after detecting "suspicious activity involving unauthorized third parties" accessing guest booking information. That's the corporate way of saying someone got in who shouldn't have been there.
One user shared the full notification on Reddit, where dozens of others said they received the same message. That suggests this was not an isolated case. The notice warned that anything customers "may have shared with the accommodation" could also have been exposed, meaning the breach went beyond basic account data.
Booking.com confirmed that financial information was not accessed. Physical home addresses were also not part of the breach, according to the company. So no, someone doesn't have your credit card number or home address from this incident.
What they do potentially have: your name, email address, phone number and the details of your reservation. That's enough to craft a convincing phishing message, which some hackers may already be doing.
"At Booking.com, we are dedicated to the security and data protection of our guests," a Booking.com spokesperson said in a statement to CyberGuy. "We recently noticed some suspicious activity involving unauthorized third parties being able to access some of our guests' booking information, which may include booking details, names, email addresses and phone numbers and anything that travelers may have shared with the accommodation."
"Financial information was not accessed from Booking.com's systems, nor were guests' physical addresses," the spokesperson continued. "Upon discovering the activity, we took action to contain the issue. We have updated the PIN number for these reservations and informed our guests."

A user who posted the notification on Reddit said that two weeks before receiving it, they got a phishing message on WhatsApp that included their real booking details and personal information. That timing matters. It suggests hackers may have already been using the data before many customers were notified.
It is not clear whether that earlier phishing attempt is directly tied to this specific breach, but it shows how detailed booking information can be used in targeted scams.
That is what makes this breach more dangerous than it first appears. When scammers know where you are staying and when, they can create messages that feel legitimate. A fake alert about a problem with your reservation or a request to confirm payment details suddenly looks real.
This breach did not happen in a vacuum. In 2024, hackers infected computers at multiple hotels with a type of consumer-grade spyware known as stalkerware. In one documented case, a hotel employee was logged into their Booking.com admin portal when the software captured a screenshot of the screen, exposing visible customer data.
That detail points to a broader issue. In some cases, vulnerabilities may exist not just within a platform, but across the hotels and systems connected to it. The current breach may follow a similar pattern, though the company has not confirmed how the unauthorized access occurred.
To put the scale in context, Booking.com says 6.8 billion bookings have been made through the platform since 2010. Even a small percentage of affected users represents a large number of people.

Data breaches at major travel platforms are uncomfortable precisely because travel feels personal. Your itinerary, your accommodation and your plans are wrapped up in those booking details, and now someone else may have a copy. The good news is that financial information and home addresses were not part of this breach. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., said he was being sarcastic when he called reports that Iranian ships had slipped by a U.S. blockade "Awesome" in a post to X on Monday, responding to the news that as many as 26 vessels had avoided U.S. detection.
Murphy brushed off criticisms that he had celebrated shortcomings in President Donald Trump's military strategy.
"It's so unbelievably disingenuous. Obviously, all these Republicans know that I was being sarcastic. They just don't really want to actually have to answer for the fact that this war has gone off the rails," Murphy said. "Republicans don't want to talk about that, so they try to create fake outrage over sarcasm."
Murphy’s defense of his phrasing highlights the tension Democrats have navigated since the U.S. first began hostilities with Tehran: pushing back on parts of the Trump administration’s Iran strategy without inadvertently sounding sympathetic of a geopolitical adversary.

Like many Democrats, Murphy panned Trump's decision to bomb Iran and, more recently, voiced criticisms of plans to impose a naval blockade on Iran in an attempt to shake Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway for global oil shipping.
"Let’s talk about Trump’s insane plan to fix Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz: helping them close the Strait," Murphy said of the administration’s strategy earlier this month.
"He is compounding one mistake after another."

GOP skeptics responding to his post believe Murphy is celebrating the defeat of a strategy he thought was ill-advised to begin with.
"A sitting U.S. Senator is actively rooting for Iran. Crazy as hell. TRAITOR," the Libs of TikTok, a popular conservative account, wrote in a post of its own.
Murphy told Fox News Digital those criticisms were overblown, calling them a deflection of the war’s political toll.

"You're talking about a war that's cost American taxpayers billions of dollars that's allowed for Iran to control the Strait," Murphy said. "Over a dozen Americans have been killed. There doesn't seem to be any endgame."
Asked to comment on Murphy’s post, at least one other Senator declined to weigh in.
"I'm not familiar with that," Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisc., told Fox News Digital.
High-ranking DHS official sidelined over allegations of 'sugar daddy' relationship, luxe gifts and drug use
Fox News has learned a high-ranking Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official is on administrative leave after an investigation was launched into the leader's alleged "sugar daddy" relationship, lavish spending and drug use, according to a DHS official.
The probe unfolded after a formal complaint was filed against Julia Varvaro, 29, the DHS deputy assistant secretary for counterterrorism, the Daily Mail first reported.
The man at the center of the allegations, described as a divorced father named "Robert," told the outlet he spent $40,000 on her during a three-month relationship that began on dating app Hinge before discovering she had a profile on a website called Seeking, which markets itself as "a space where love and luxury meet."
He alleged that her Seeking profile was under the name "Alessia" and sought "mutually beneficial" relationships with "masculine men." Varvaro firmly denied the claims when questioned by the Daily Mail.

The outlet reported that, prior to the pair's falling out, Robert took Varvaro on numerous posh getaways to Aruba, Italy and Switzerland, purchasing her a $3,500 Bottega handbag and taking her to the high-end jewelry store, Cartier.
He added that, during their travels, Varvaro flexed her government position in TSA security lines and claimed she could get VIP access to the Winter Olympics, allegedly bragging, "ICE works for me."
In his formal complaint to the DHS Office of the Inspector General, which was reviewed by the Daily Mail, Robert said he believes Varvaro is "under financial stress" and that her actions pose a severe national security risk.

He also told the outlet he witnessed her use marijuana on nearly a dozen occasions and take recreational Xanax.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Varvaro described the situation as a "mad ex-boyfriend putting crap together. I didn't know it was bad to go on vacation with your boyfriend."
The outlet said Varvaro admitted to being expedited through Dulles Airport security but denied using marijuana, seeking VIP Olympic access or having sugar daddies pay for her college, insisting that her request to Robert for a credit card in her name was "kind of a normal thing."
The scandal comes less than a month after photos were released of former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem's husband, Bryon, which appeared to show him cross-dressing in private messages to three different women.
Fox News previously reported rumors of an alleged affair between Noem and her top advisor, Corey Lewandowski, contributed to her dismissal from her DHS post.
She now serves as special envoy to the Shield of the Americas.
The CIA, DHS Office of the Inspector General, Hinge and Seeking did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's requests for comment.
Varvaro could not immediately be reached for comment.

Dwight "DJ" Rust Jr. was taken into custody Tuesday on charges stemming from the 2002 death of Michelle Rust, the Baltimore County Police Department said in a statement.
Dwight Rust initially told authorities Michelle Rust, 24, had left their home to get supplies in preparation for their 3-year-old son’s birthday party around 9:30 a.m. when she was last seen on July 20, 2002.
However, after speaking with several witnesses, investigators determined Michelle Rust never left her Halethorpe home prior to her disappearance.
Her abandoned green 1998 Dodge Caravan was discovered with the key broken off in the driver’s side door later that day by her father-in-law near Zion Avenue and Clyde Avenue, but Michelle Rust was never found.

Members of her family insisted she "was a dedicated mother and daughter" and "would not have disappeared on her own," leading investigators to determine she was a victim of foul play, police said.

The case ran cold for 24 years, until authorities announced Dwight Rust had been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Baltimore County on Tuesday.

He was subsequently booked into the Baltimore County Detention Center, where he is being held without bail.
