Commercial fishing boat crew, Coast Guard rescue man who fell nearly 40 feet off tanker into Boston Harbor

The crew of a commercial fishing boat helped rescue a man who had fallen overboard into a busy Massachusetts harbor and administered CPR before U.S. Coast Guard personnel arrived at the scene, officials confirmed.

In the early morning hours Tuesday, a crew member fell nearly 40 feet off the chemical tanker MTM Dublin into Boston Harbor

A nearby commercial fishing boat, the America, responded to the tanker ship's mayday call and was the first vessel on the scene.

Crew members used flashlights to search for the missing man in the pitch-black water before spotting and rescuing him.

COAST GUARD SEARCHING FOR WOMAN ‘SWEPT BY CURRENT OFF BEACH’ IN WASHINGTON

Fisherman John Abraham, a friend of the America’s crew, told WFXT Boston 25 News that finding the man with flashlights was like finding a needle in a haystack.

"That’s all they had," Abraham said. "Some of (the boats) have big spotlights, but they didn’t have spotlights."

A rescue boat crew from USCG Station Boston responded to the scene at 4:30 a.m. The America transferred the man to the rescue boat crew, who brought him to ashore, officials said.

America's captain Bryant Moulton said that finding the crew member in the water was "really lucky."

"We’re really lucky that he was found. I don’t know why we did, but we did. We just happened to see his orange vest in the water," Moulton told the news station.

LAURA INGRAHAM: America is in a death spiral

FOX News host Laura Ingraham calls out the increase in violent crime across the nation on "The Ingraham Angle."

LAURA INGRAHAM: Democrats under Biden have gotten their way on pretty much everything they've wanted: on the economy, the energy sector, the border, schools, urban policy. It's all the way they want it. All of it — and under Democrat control, all that was happening. Well, America is in a death spiral. In Chicago, a violent attack and the mugging of a man just minding his business in an alley way.

BIDEN ALLIES SAY WHITE HOUSE FINDS 3RD PARTY CANDIDATES 'PRETTY F---ING CONCERNING'

In New York, a couple was robbed by a dozen teens, and in L.A., a 13-year-old is assaulted by a grown woman... These are senseless acts of depraved, hideous violence. It's enraging, and it also breaks your heart at the same time. These brazen criminals are beating their victims senseless, almost for fun. No fear of the justice system. Not at all. Why? Because in Democrat-run states, the justice system mainly exists to handcuff the police and also make progressives feel better about themselves.

On the federal level, we all know the justice system exists mainly to get Biden re-elected. That's why the cartels, they're not afraid of the FBI, and the smugglers aren't afraid of Customs and Border Protection as well. And the run-of-the-mill thugs? Oh, come on, they're not afraid of police. Again, there are zero consequences, but the real-world consequences of Democrat policies — they're piling up.

Philadelphia police find flight attendant dead with cloth in mouth inside hotel room

A flight attendant was found dead with a cloth in her mouth Monday inside a hotel room in Philadelphia, authorities said.

The 66-year-old woman was found in a room in the Philadelphia Airport Marriott hotel just before 11 p.m., the Philadelphia Police Department told Fox News Digital.

JUDGE DISMISSES MURDER CHARGE AGAINST PHILADELPHIA POLICE OFFICER INVOLVED ON SHOOTING OF EDDIE IRIZARRY

The unidentified woman was found unresponsive. She was pronounced dead by first responders at the scene at around 10: 40 p.m. and her body was taken to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small called the death "suspicious" and said the won was on several medications, according to local reports.

No arrests were made, and no weapons were recovered. Homicide detectives are investigating the death, police said.

Fox Philadelphia reported the woman was a flight attendant but did not disclose which airline she worked for. Other local reports said she worked for American Airlines.

Fox News Digital has reached out to the airline and the hotel chain.

YouTube prankster says he didn't know he scared man who ended up allegedly shooting him

YouTube prankster Tanner Cook said in court on Tuesday that he had no idea he had scared or angered Alan Colie, 31, who ended up allegedly shooting him during a prank.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office initially arrested Colie in connection with the April 2 shooting in the food court at Dulles Town Center and was charged with aggravated malicious wounding and two firearms counts.

Cook operates the "Classified Goons" channel on YouTube, which has over 55,000 subscribers.

The YouTube channel films "pranks" in public settings. In one video, Cook and a friend dress up as clowns and ride around a grocery store in handicapped scooters.

YOUTUBE PRANKSTER IN VIRGINIA HOSPITALIZED AFTER BEING SHOT AT MALL

Another video shows Cook accusing people of stealing animals in PetSmart.

During Tuesday's hearing, jurors saw a video of the shooting that was recorded by Cook's associates.

In the video, Cook could be seen approaching Colie, a DoorDash driver, while he picked up an order.

Cook, who is 6-foot-5, could be seen holding a cell phone about 6 inches from Colie's face. The cellphone broadcasted the phrase "Hey dips—-, quit thinking about my twinkle" through a Google Translate app several times.

Colie could be heard saying "stop" on three separate occasions and tried to back away from Cook, who continued to advance towards him.

MARINES AT VIRGINIA CHICK-FIL-A BREAK KNIFE IN HALF WHILE STOPPING ATTACK

Colie attempted to knock the phone away from his face before he allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Cook in the lower left chest.

Cook said during the hearing that he tries to confuse targets of his pranks for the amusement of his online audience and doesn't try to elicit fear or anger, but said his targets often react that way.

When Cook was asked why he didn't stop the prank despite requests from Colie, he said that he "almost did" stop, but not because he sensed fear or anger, but rather because Colie wasn't giving the type of expected reaction.

"It was stupid. It was silly. And you may even think it was offensive," prosecutor Pamela Jones said during the hearing. "But that's all it was — a cellphone in the ear that got Tanner shot."

Defense attorney Tabatha Blake said that the prosecution's accounting of the incident "diminishes how unsettling they were to Mr. Alan Colie at the time they occurred."

Cook's father, Jeramy Cook, told Fox News Digital previously his son is a "good kid."

Heat star Jimmy Butler ticked off by $145 gas bill after filling up car: 'F---ing highway robbery'

Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler is like the rest of us. He's not a fan of gas prices.

After spending time playing pickleball with some friends, Butler took his Rolls-Royce to a gas station to fill up.

And let's just say he was less than pleased as he watched the price of a full tank rise over three figures at the pump.

"This is highway f---ing robbery," Butler said on his Instagram story as his bill rose to $145 "Man, I’m tryna give some of this gas back. Wow.

"You think if I go in and tell him that I put the wrong gas in here they’d give me a refund? This is crazy."

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline decreased to $3.86 for the week ending Sept. 21, per the latest report from AAA. It was at $3.88 the week prior, which could be the peak for this year.

It's unknown where exactly Butler was filling up his tank or what type of gas he bought. But three figures on the pump has become common for many across the country.

Of course, Butler makes much more than the rest of us after signing a three-year $146 million contract with the Heat that keeps him in Miami through the 2025-26 campaign.

Still, Butler is flabbergasted gas prices are this high, and it might lead to a change in vehicle pretty soon.

"I’m going electric," Butler said.

Butler averaged 22.9 points, the second-most of his career, in his 12th NBA season. He also had 5.3 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game in 64 contests last season.

Butler led the Heat to an upset of the No. 1-seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Heat followed that with a 4-2 win over the New York Knicks in the second round, followed by an exciting seven-game series with the Boston Celtics that ended with a Miami win for a spot in the NBA Finals.

The Heat lost in the finals to the Denver Nuggets.

Deputies allege the girlfriend had a small cut mark on her left wrist that had a little bit of bleeding.

Gonzalez denied the allegations to deputies.

In the affidavit, deputies said the victim’s description of what occurred remained consistent throughout the investigation, while Gonzalez’s was not consistent and changed several times.

Gonzalez was taken into custody and transported to the Polk County Jail after the incident.

Who is Jason Billingsley, accused of killing Baltimore tech CEO Pava Marie LaPere?

Baltimore police allege that 32-year-old Jason Dean Billingsley killed Pava Marie LaPere, who was the CEO of a technology company.

Officials said LaPere, 26, was found dead Monday at 11:34 a.m. at an apartment complex on the 300 block of West Franklin Street in Baltimore, Maryland. LaPere had signs of blunt-force trauma.

Shortly before officers arrived at the apartment, a missing person's call was made, an investigation revealed. Homicide detectives are investigating her death.

LaPere was the CEO of EcoMap Technologies, which is based in Baltimore. She received a Forbes 30 Under 30 award in 2023 in the social impact category.

BALTIMORE POLICE WARN SUSPECT AT LARGE IN FEMALE CEO SLAYING WILL 'KILL' AND 'RAPE'

Billingsley has a lengthy criminal record dating back to 2009, according to court records. He's still on the loose as police continue a massive manhunt.

He was sentenced to 30 years in prison on February 4, 2015, after being convicted of a 1st-degree forcible sex offense, but was in custody beginning on July 11, 2013, on that charge. He received 16 years of suspended time and five years of parole but was released from prison in October 2022 under the previous administration of State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby.

Officials on Tuesday didn't elaborate on why Billingsley was released, Mayor Brandon Scott said, "There's no way in hell he should have been out on the street."

Billingsley was also convicted of first-degree assault and violation of probation in 2009, which both carried a sentence of five and three years respectively.

During Tuesday's press conference, Baltimore Acting Police Commissioner Richard Worley said of Billingsley, "This individual will kill and he will rape."

"He will do anything he can to cause harm. So please be aware of your surroundings," Worley said.

Scott said he's "extremely frustrated" that Billingsley was freed on parole.

"This is why you consistently hear from us, those who are on the front lines of this work, those who have to talk with those grieving families to get other parts of the system to understand the human side of it, that these cases impact people's lives for the eternity," Scott said.

"The conviction should be the conviction. And we have to make sure that folks are held accountable in every single way because we are tired of talking about the same people commit the same kind of crimes over and over again," he added.

"We have to stand up here and talk about someone's life cut down short by someone who should still be in prison.

MASSACHUSETTS POLICE CHIEF CHARGED IN INSIDER TRADING SCHEME TO RESIGN

Police don't believe he had any relationship with LaPere.

Former Washington, D.C., Homicide Detective Ted Williams told Fox News Digital he would have never given a recommendation for Billingsley to be paroled, and is puzzled why he was released.

"My recommendation would have been absolutely under no circumstances, looking [sic] and given the record of this individual, that this individual should have been back on the streets of Baltimore," he said.

Williams said there needs to be an "extensive investigation" into how Billingsley was released from prison on parole.

"And it is without a doubt that somebody or bodies in Baltimore have what I defined as blood on their hands by permitting this violent criminal to be released and back on the streets of Baltimore," Williams said.

EcoMap Technologies issued a statement on LaPere's death on Facebook that said "the news has shaken us all deeply."

"The circumstances surrounding Pava's death are deeply distressing, and our deepest condolences are with her family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly devastating time. Pava was not only the visionary force behind EcoMap but was also a deeply compassionate and dedicated leader," the company wrote. "Her untiring commitment to our company, to Baltimore, to amplifying the critical work of ecosystems across the country, and to building a deeply inclusive culture as a leader, friend and partner set a standard for leadership. And her legacy will live on through the work we continue to do."

"As a team, and on behalf of our customers and the EcoMap community, we are devastated by this loss, and we pledge our unwavering support to the LaPere family as they navigate this heartbreaking period. We would also like to express our gratitude to the authorities and emergency services for their efforts and professionalism," it added.

JESSE WATTERS: Biden's focus isn't on the forgotten man

FOX News host Jesse Watters condemns President Biden’s re-election campaign on "Jesse Watters Primetime."

JESSE WATTERS: How does Biden have a bullhorn when there's no one there? Because it's all stagecraft. Biden's focus isn't on the forgotten man. It's on the man who keeps forgetting himself, Blacks, union workers – Biden has lost his base. So, now they just have to keep him from falling on his face while Democrats are on the edge of the knife with Biden, Donald Trump has morphed his campaign from huge rallies to retail politics, up close and personal with the forgotten man.

He's swimming in the base. Yesterday, he walked into a gun shop in South Carolina and went shopping...Now, the store says Trump didn't actually buy a gun, which is good because that would have been a bail violation. Now, like Charlamagne said, you can't fake authenticity. Trump is swashbuckling through tailgates, signing women's T-shirts, barnstorming Dairy Queen.

Bill Maher warns Biden is only Dem who'd lose to Trump in 2024: The 'Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the presidency'

"Club Random" host Bill Maher is warning Democrats that President Biden may be the "only" candidate who would lose to former President Trump in the 2024 election, comparing him to the "Ruth Bader Ginsburg" of presidents.

On Sunday's podcast, Maher sat down with famed Democratic strategist James Carville, who had been outspoken in recent weeks about his pessimism towards Biden's reelection bid based on polls showing overwhelming disproval for the sitting 80-year-old president and a strong appetite among Democrats for someone else to run at the top of the ticket.

Both Maher and Carville were in agreement that Trump could "easily" win the election.

BARI WEISS, JAMES CARVILLE CLASH ON KAMALA HARRIS AS DEM STRATEGIST BLAMES BIDEN, SEXISM FOR VP'S UNPOPULARITY

"Right now, let's assume the election was November the third of this year, and they said two candidates are Joe Biden, the Democrat, Donald Trump, the Republican, Joe Manchin and Larry Hogan, No Labels, and Cornel West, Trump would be a betting favorite," Carville said.

"Totally," Maher reacted. "I think we're on the same page with Biden. Did a great service but whereas in 2020, maybe he was the only one who could have beaten Trump, I think now he's the only one who will lose to him."

JAMES CARVILLE SOUNDS ALARM OVER BIDEN'S CHANCES WITH DEMOCRATS IN 2024: ‘THE VOTERS DON’T WANT THIS'

"He did great not just because he beat Trump, but, you know, a lot of stuff he did- Afghanistan, Ukraine he handled right, everybody else's economy was worse than ours after the pandemic. These are some pretty big things. But he will lose because at some point, perception becomes reality. And look, do I think he can do the job? Absolutely. Government, as you well know better than anybody, is done in small rooms like the Oval Office, where people are talking quietly and decisions are made. I think he still can do that fine. He cannot run for president. He'll look bad in the debates. It's just, it's too- it's too much. And he's, I think, going to lose."

Maher, a longtime defender of President Biden, went on to compare him to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who never stepped down during the Obama years despite her past health scares and was ultimately replaced by Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Justice Amy Coney Barrett in 2020 after her passing.

"He will be Ruth Bader Biden, the Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the presidency," the liberal comedian said. "It's not a good look. And any 50ish, not stupid woke Democrat with a ‘D’ by their name- people just vote ‘D’ and ‘R.’ That person can win."

NY TIMES REPORTER HITS BIDEN FOR ONLY GRANTING INTERVIEWS WITH ‘FRIENDLY TALK SHOW HOSTS’

"Win easily," Carville responded. "If we had somebody under 60 and ran against Trump, we would get 55%… By the way, if you look at- I don't like when people take one poll and extrapolate too much him from them, but I've seen the last eight polls are all the same 73 to 77% of the country does not want Biden to run again. I'm gonna just round that to 75, ok? That's a big f--kin' number man!"

"That's a big number," Maher agreed. "It's a very big number for something that's crucial. It's ridiculous."

This marks a dramatic shift in Maher's attitude towards a potential Biden-Trump rematch in 2024.

"If it’s Biden against Trump, Biden will win – that’s a good bet," Maher told CNN back in February. "But if it's not Biden, then I don't know."

Democrat turned Republican 'seriously considering' challenge to embattled senator indicted on federal charges

Republican New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew is "seriously considering" a challenge to Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez, who is running for re-election next year despite being indicted last week on federal bribery and corruption charges.

Fox News Digital confirmed late Tuesday that Van Drew, a former Democrat, is looking at a potential run, but in the meantime "is focused on the issues before Congress."

Van Drew was first elected as a Democrat representing New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District in 2018, but left the party and became a Republican in Dec. 2019, citing the first impeachment of former President Donald as the final straw after he had been mulling a switch for a while.

GOP, DEMS TEAM UP TO RIP ‘DELUSIONAL’ SINEMA OVER ‘PLAN’ TO SWIPE THEIR VOTERS IN INDEPENDENT RE-ELECTION BID

Fox has reached out to the Menendez campaign for comment.

Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York unsealed the indictment on Friday, charging Menendez, his wife Nadine, and New Jersey businessmen Wael Hana, Jose Uribe and Fred Daibes with participating in a years-long bribery scheme.

At a press conference Monday, Menendez asserted he will be exonerated and will remain New Jersey's senior senator.

LEGAL EXPERTS WEIGH IN ON MENENDEZ INDICTMENT, SUGGEST ‘MONSTER’ CHARGES POINT TO LIKELY CONVICTION

However, he has faced numerous calls from his own party to resign his seat over the indictment, including from Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, Peter Welch, D-Vt., John Fetterman, D-Pa., Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., Jon Tester, D-Mont., Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisc., Bob Casey, D-Pa., and Cory Booker, D-N.J., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Rep. Andy Kim, D-N.J.

Since 2018, as alleged by federal prosecutors, the three businessmen collectively paid hundreds of thousands of dollars of bribes, including cash, gold, a Mercedes-Benz, and other things of value in exchange for Menendez agreeing to use his power and influence to protect and enrich them and to benefit the government of Egypt.
