Brad Pitt fights for survival in 'Heart of the Beast' trailer as fans say he's 'cooler' than younger actors
The first trailer for Brad Pitt's upcoming new film dropped and fans are excited.
Paramount released the first trailer for the 62-year-old actor's latest film, "Heart of the Beast," on Thursday. The survival thriller stars Pitt as a former Navy SEAL and his retired combat canine, who fight for survival after a plane crash leaves them deserted in the Alaskan wilderness.
"Imagine being 60 and still cooler than every actor under 30 Brad Pitt different," one fan wrote in the comments section on YouTube.
Another added, "This looks PEAK, can't wait to watch it," while a third wrote, "Brad Pitt is the perfect combination of a actor + action hero + performer + superstar."

Directed by David Ayer, the movie also stars J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe, and is expected to premiere on September 25.
"After a harrowing plane crash, Special Forces officer James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his combat dog, Odin, find themselves stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness. Together, they are forced into a brutal fight for survival against the elements," the film's synopsis reads. "From acclaimed filmmaker David Ayer, 'Heart of the Beast' is an intense adventure thriller that explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest battle yet."
In addition to "Heart of the Beast," Pitt is set to star in "The Adventures of Cliff Booth," which will see him reprise his role as the titular character, after first portraying him in the 2019 movie, "Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood."
The role quickly became a favorite of his among fans, prompting the spin-off film, and ultimately earned him an Academy Award for best supporting actor.

"This is something Quentin Tarantino wrote. It’s an episode, not really a sequel, of the character from 'Once Upon A Time,'" he told Deadline in June 2025. "He didn’t want to direct it at this point, so our mutual friend David Fincher stepped in, and we’re going to start filming in July. It should be really good fun."
The trailer dropped just one day after his daughter, Zahara, who he shares with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, reportedly petitioned to have Pitt dropped from her last name, petitioning to be known as Zahara Marley Jolie from now on, according to E! News.
Her decision comes after the former couple's other daughter, Shiloh, also petitioned to drop Pitt from her last name. Shiloh later debuted a new name, when she choreographed a sensual dance under the nickname Shi, for dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki, according to Variety.
"He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter," a source told People in June 2024 when Shiloh first filed to drop Pitt from her name.

"The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad," the source added.
Since he and Jolie separated in September 2016, Pitt has been rumored to have dated a few women, but has only confirmed his relationship with Ines de Ramon, who he has been dating since late 2022.

ESPN broadcaster Monica McNutt was caught on a hot mic Wednesday night during the radio broadcast of Game 4 of the NBA Finals, accusing Taylor Swift of bandwagoning the New York Knicks.
"Is that Taylor Swift?" she asked. "She's not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl."

The moment drew considerable attention. For one, Swifties have little tolerance for criticism or perceived disrespect toward Swift. McNutt was also incorrect in her assessment. Swift has attended numerous Knicks games dating back to 2014, including during losing seasons.
OutKick asked McNutt via text what her issue was with Swift and why she overlooked Swift's previous visits to Madison Square Garden. McNutt did not respond. We will update this article if she does.
She did, however, speak with TMZ on Thursday.
"Swifties, I appreciate your passion. I said what I said and here's the deal, if I'm wrong, and I am wrong apparently because we've got an OG Amar'e Stoudemire jersey," McNutt said. "I misspoke. I apologize."
The more telling part of the story is McNutt's apparent disdain for Taylor Swift. There's a pattern here. McNutt also seems to have a passionate dislike for Caitlin Clark and her White fans.
Last year, she accused little White girls who root for Caitlin Clark of racial bias.
"Caitlin represented, and again, some of this to me probably is not fair to her, because it was not anything that she said or was truly based on her personality, but she was a white girl from the middle of America. And so she represented a whole lot to a lot of people, whether that is truly what she prescribed to or not," McNutt said about her fandom among young White girls.
And what about all the young Black girls who root for Serena Williams? Do they also have a racial bias, or do they simply support a generational female athlete?
Imagine employing a sports analyst who dislikes Caitlin Clark, Taylor Swift and doesn't know who NFL legend Barry Sanders is.
The last part is real.
Last summer, McNutt guest-hosted "First Take" on ESPN and was caught during a segment having no idea who the NFL legend was.
"Obviously, this ties to one Shedeur Sanders," McNutt said while pointing at comedian Druski, who was wearing a Honolulu blue No. 20 Barry Sanders jersey.

Pima County sheriff says Mexican authorities have not made contact over Nancy Guthrie search tip
The Pima County Sheriff's Department on Thursday said it has not been contacted by Mexican authorities amid news reports that an anonymous tip had prompted a search effort for Nancy Guthrie south of the border.
Ramona Guadalupe Ayala Ortiz, head of Buscando Corazones Nogales in Sonora, Mexico, said the collective received a tip that a grave belonging to Guthrie, 84, may have been found.
The tipster said searchers could find a body matching Guthrie's description in the Mariposa area near Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, 12 News reported. Buscando Corazones Nogales works to locate people missing in Mexico.

In a statement posted to social media, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said the department was aware of the reports regarding the anonymous tips.

Her back door was also propped open by the time police arrived hours later, prompting questions about whether more than one person was involved. Supposed ransom notes were sent to TMZ and local media, but no one has been arrested in connection with the case.
RFK Jr accuses NYT of publishing 'hit piece' sourced by 'disgruntled' employees he purged
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. launched an attack against The New York Times on Wednesday, accusing the paper of publishing a "hit piece" sourced by disgruntled former employees.
Kennedy’s post on X comes after a report claimed Kennedy was "checked out" from his position amid the latest Ebola outbreak in Africa. Kennedy rejected the narrative as "propagandist" journalism.
"In order to prove your preconceived case for my disengagement, you quote anonymous employees, some of whom I fired or who quit to avoid being fired," Kennedy wrote Wednesday.
"You had a preconceived thesis, and you set out to prove it," he later added.

The article, published earlier this week by New York Times correspondent Sheryl Gay Stolberg, was titled "Kennedy Shows Minimal Engagement With Vast Health Portfolio."
It questions Kennedy's management of the department, focusing largely on his handling of the Ebola outbreak, which exposed at least six Americans. The article argues Kennedy has "shown little interest" in actually managing the major health organization and instead is focused on advancing his top priorities.
"Mr. Kennedy has shown little interest in managing the details of work in his department, according to multiple colleagues," Stolberg wrote. "Instead, they say, he is single-mindedly focused on his top priorities, including food recommendations and pesticide exposures, and hunting for evidence to support his long-held beliefs that vaccines are harmful."
The piece added that Kennedy has made one known visit to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters. The visit to the Georgia facility came after a gunman opened fire at its headquarters and killed a police officer.

It went on to call him "deeply mistrustful" of career civil officials and in turn has surrounded himself with people who support his views, adding, "While major posts have sat vacant and a wave of veteran health experts and scientists have departed, Mr. Kennedy has remained isolated from much of the department’s top staff."
"When I took this job, the building was empty. About 90% of the employees were not coming to work. I changed that, but your newspaper never covers my reforms," Kennedy wrote. "Nor did you cover the fact that my predecessor almost never showed up for work here during his four years in office."
He also criticized them for citing multiple unnamed sources and ex-employees, adding, "Standards have devolved, and journalism is dead. The Times now employs propagandists," he said. "The fact that you have minimal access to decision makers leaves you covering trivia and relying on your own capacity for invention."
The New York Times responded to Kennedy's criticism, saying he declined an interview and didn't address the "detailed questions" prior to publication.
"The Times set out to examine Secretary Kennedy’s leadership and management style in light of numerous vacancies within the Department of Health and Human Services and concerns internally about his detachment from key issues and officials," a spokesperson for the Times told Fox News Digital. "The secretary declined an interview request and did not address detailed questions before publication about his approach to running the department. This article is based on conversations with a dozen people who have worked directly with Mr. Kennedy during his tenure as secretary. We are confident in our reporting."
Trump plans to deport Iranians to violence-plagued central African nation in new deal
The Trump administration is preparing to deport a group of Iranian asylum-seekers and other migrants to the Central African Republic (CAR) under a newly established third-country agreement, according to reports.
The first flight under the arrangement could depart as early as Thursday and is expected to carry roughly 20 people.
According to a Reuters report, the flight includes people from Syria, Afghanistan and a Turkish national.
The administration has increasingly relied on these third-country deportation agreements as a lawful mechanism to remove migrants who cannot legally be sent back to their native countries.

Federal authorities previously struck a similar removal deal with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Since gaining independence from France in 1960, the CAR has seen decades of political instability including six coups and weak state authority with armed insurgencies fuelimh violence and risk of mass atrocities against civilians.
President Faustin-Archange Touadéra, re-elected to a third term in December’s election, has relied on Russia for security assistance while also showing interest in partnering with Western countries to develop the country's critical minerals sector.
Under the new U.S. deal, hundreds of migrants could ultimately be sent to there which has triggered pushback from immigration defense lawyers.
US DEPORTS MORE IRANIANS, ISLAMIC REPUBLIC SAYS
Among those scheduled for the upcoming flight are two Iranian women who arrived in the U.S. in November 2024 and secured "withholding of removal" from a U.S. immigration judge.
According to their attorney, Emily Trostle, the two women face a risk of torture and persecution if forcibly returned to Iran. One of them is a baptized convert; the other is a democracy activist, Trostle said.
Both women were detained after arriving in the United States in November 2024, and filed asylum applications in the United States where they received protection in the form of a stay of deportation from an immigration judge, Trostle told the outlet.
The latest deal was reportedly finalized during a U.S. delegation visit to the capital city of Bangui in May, Reuters said.

Initial details regarding the total number of migrants, specific nationalities, and the long-term timing of subsequent flights were not made available at that time.
Once in the CAR, the deportees are expected to be housed in apartments in Bangui and will not face immediate repatriation.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM), which received $85 million in U.S. funding this year, confirmed it will provide strictly voluntary, post-arrival humanitarian assistance to the migrants at the explicit request of the Central African government.
The agency noted it remains entirely uninvolved in the actual removals.
At least eight African nations, including Eswatini, the DRC, Ghana, and Sierra Leone, have taken in U.S. deportees, usually in exchange for financial or logistical support.
The State Department and Trostle did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The situation escalated into a physical confrontation.
Protesters hurled objects at security forces, prompting riot police to deploy batons and shields.
Amid the chaos and crowd surge, a man reportedly suffered a heart attack. Emergency medical personnel faced delays navigating through the unrest to reach the victim.
The opening-day violence immediately raised questions about security for the monthlong tournament, which the United States, Canada and Mexico are co-hosting.
The protest stems from frustration over several issues facing Mexico. Demonstrators raised concerns about cartel violence and poverty.
Protesters took to the streets to demand government accountability for "the disappeared," referring to the roughly 130,000 people reported missing across the country.

University of Florida intends to move forward with $1.45 billion stadium renovation plans
In today's day and age of college football, the vast majority of funding seems to have shifted almost entirely towards the players and their NIL deals.
This wasn't always the case, though, as there used to be a bigger emphasis on "the facilities arms race" among the superpowers of college football.
Before NIL, it was customary to direct a lot of your boosters' funds toward new locker rooms, workout facilities and stadium renovations.
That is still happening, to an extent, but more and more fanbases and boosters are shifting into a player-focused system, and for good reason.
HOW NAME, IMAGE AND LIKENESS LAWS HAVE CHANGED COLLEGE SPORTS
You are far more likely to land a five-star high school kid with a well-funded NIL deal than you are with fancy facilities upgrades.
With all that being said, the University of Florida seems to still have plenty of money set aside in the banana stand, as they just approved a rumored $1.45 billion renovation project for their home venue, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Who says college athletic departments are running out of money?
What's a $50 million NIL budget when you can drop nearly $1.5 billion on a stadium?
Yes, I understand it isn't all liquid and a lot of it is going to be paid through financing, long-term debt, project-generated revenues and so on, but my point still stands.
The rendering also looks pretty cool, too.

The project is expected to be the most expensive stadium renovation in college football history by a fairly wide margin, and it's easy to see why.
As a Florida fan, my feelings on this, as well as the feelings of other die-hard Gator fans, are a bit all over the place.
I love the way the stadium looks in the renderings, and having been to Ben Hill Griffin a number of times in my life, I can recognize some things need upgrading.
But The Swamp is also one of the most iconic venues in college sports, so I sincerely hope these renovations don't mess with the character of the stadium.
With these changes and the price tag, it could also come out of the pockets of fans in the form of raising ticket prices.
That's just speculation on my part, but I would hate to see everyday fans priced out of a game at The Swamp.
And there's also the issue of funding that I keep coming back to.
Obviously, the Gators aren't hurting in the wallet when it comes to NIL, as their recruiting class sits comfortably in the top five on Rivals and 247Sports, and they were able to keep high-priced players like Jaden Baugh, Dallas Wilson and Jayden Woods out of the clutches of other well-funded teams like Texas and Miami.

But would it hurt to go a little less heavy on the stadium upgrades and toss another $10 million a year into the NIL bucket?
Just asking.
Regardless, this project has been in the works for a long time, and I will be interested to see the finished product, which has a rumored completion date of 2030.
And if you ever need a business opportunity, start a construction company in an SEC college town. You'll be able to put your great-grandkid's great-grandkids through med school.
LIV Golf still waiting on $400M in funding, may be forced to cancel final two events of the season
The tumultuous times for the LIV Golf Tour are reportedly nowhere close to over.
Earlier this year, reports broke that the Saudi Arabia-controlled Public Investment Fund (PIF) would cease funding for LIV Golf at the end of the 2026 season. That set off a firestorm of speculation, debate and concern over the future of the breakaway tour. And the postponement of a scheduled tournament in late June in Louisiana.
Some golfers have committed to staying with LIV, as long as the tour continues to function, and avoiding a return to the PGA Tour. Others have remained cagey with their future plans, either avoiding a concrete statement one way or another, or in the case of Bryson DeChambeau, saying he would consider moving to his YouTube golf channel full time, should LIV collapse.
LIV Golf CEO Scott O'Neil has consistently claimed that he's been in meetings with interested investors, and downplayed concerns about the upcoming schedule. Though he raised eyebrows again in a recent interview when asked about the ability for LIV to put on its remaining four tournaments without the Saudis injecting more money into the organization.

"I can say that they've been terrific partners so far," O'Neil said, referring to the PIF and the Saudis. "You have to take an incredible organization like PIF at their word, and they've been very public about funding us through the season. We are full steam ahead, the players are locked in, the management team is locked in."
But a new report from the Financial Times has once again stated that there's no guarantee LIV is able to complete the schedule. According to its report, LIV received approximately $66 million from the PIF in May, followed by $130 million in June. But the tour is reportedly owed a whopping $400 million in order to fund player contracts, operating costs and purses for the upcoming tournaments.
Funding has reportedly already been secured for the LIV Golf UK event at JCB Golf & Country Club in late July. As well as for the event at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. But the tournaments in Indiana and Michigan for late August may be reliant on the $400 million in funding from the PIF.

Obviously the PIF has the money, as one of the largest and richest investment funds in the world. But there may be some consideration that it's not worth continuing to fund these final events without much return. $400 million is still an enormous sum of money, regardless of who's spending it.

When directly asked to confirm that the final four events would take place as scheduled, O'Neil refused to answer.
"What I can guarantee is that there is a heck of a return if you come and invest in this business," he responded.
Should that prove to be the case, there's another issue to be concerned with: if new backers won't fund the tour to the same level as the PIF, would players be able to get out of their contracts based on guaranteed $25 million purses?
There's plenty to be determined, and it's certainly possible that LIV comes out the other side of this with new funding and the same players. But with the revelation that it needs $400 million to keep the season going, you can see why O'Neil was evasive. And why so many of the players have been evasive with their future plans as well.
Man in viral Karmelo Anthony courthouse confrontation arrested at murder trial
A man at the center of a viral confrontation outside Karmelo Anthony's murder trial was arrested outside the courthouse where Anthony was found guilty of murder earlier this week, one of at least two arrests that were made as tensions flared during the racially-charged case.
Both individuals were taken into custody shortly after Anthony’s sentence was announced on Tuesday, the Collin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Fox News Digital.
The individual involved in the viral clash, identified as Jerome Winston Parker, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for alleged unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the charge stems from an alleged incident that took place in the parking lot of the courthouse during "activities related to trial proceedings" three days earlier on June 6.
Parker was subsequently arrested Tuesday and remains in custody on a $1,000 bond.
On Tuesday, he was seen in a face-to-face confrontation with an Austin Metcalf supporter, arguing in support of Anthony in a heated clash outside the courthouse.

In the other arrest, video recorded by FOX 4 shows a man wearing a pink tie and suspenders being arrested outside the courthouse in connection with an alleged assault, according to witnesses.

That man was later identified as Sholdon Daniels, a Republican nominee for Congress in Texas’ 30th Congressional District, who posted a video to X shortly before the alleged incident in which he was wearing the same outfit. According to Daniels’ campaign website, he is a veteran and attorney.
Daniels was subsequently taken into custody and charged with public intoxication, according to jail records obtained by Fox News Digital. He remains in jail on a $500 bond.
Social media posts made to Daniels’ X account show him condemning Anthony’s actions, while pointing to race as playing a key factor in the controversial murder trial.
"I practice law in Collin County, Texas," Daniels said in one X post. "Karmelo Anthony will be convicted and sentenced to life in prison. As he should. He murdered that boy because he was raised to hate white people and to view himself as a victim in every situation. It’s a culture thing."
The arrests were made amid tense gatherings outside the courthouse as it was announced that a jury had found Anthony guilty of murdering Metcalf at a high school track meet in 2025.
Video taken by Fox News Digital showed several skirmishes breaking out as Anthony was handed a sentence of 35 years behind bars for Metcalf’s killing.
Throughout the trial, prosecutors revealed Anthony stabbed Metcalf to death after Metcalf asked him to leave a Memorial High School team tent.
Anthony’s defense insisted their client acted in self-defense.
However, a Texas jury convicted Anthony of murder.
Fox News Digital reached out to Daniels’s campaign and Parker for comment.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld gave a blunt response to an influencer who asked the comedian to say "free Palestine," telling the streamer that it didn't exist.
"What up Seinfeld, what up? Can we get a 'free Palestine?'" the streamer Finesse Fave asked in a video posted to TikTok, as Seinfeld laughed. "Come on, give us one 'free Palestine.'"
Seinfeld responded, "It doesn't exist."

A video of the incident, posted on the Palestinian Assembly for Liberation’s Instagram page, appears to show the comedian heading to his car as someone off-camera begins shouting at him.
"F--- you, Jerry Seinfeld! Free Palestine," the off-camera person yelled at Seinfeld. "You support the genocide of babies in Gaza!"

The "Seinfeld" creator attended a campus event for Omer Shem Tov, an Israeli hostage abducted by Hamas during the Oct. 7, 2023, terror attacks and held captive for 505 days. Seinfeld gave a brief introduction to Shem Tov before ridiculing anti-Israel activists, joking that at least the KKK was "honest" about their hatred for Jews.
"Free Palestine is, to me, just — you’re free to say you don’t like Jews. Just say you don’t like Jews," Seinfeld said.

"By saying ‘Free Palestine,’ you’re not admitting what you really think," he continued. "So it’s actually — compared to the Ku Klux Klan, I’m actually thinking the Klan is actually a little better here because they can come right out and say, ‘We don’t like Blacks, we don’t like Jews.’ Okay that’s honest."
The "Seinfeld" creator, who is famous for his classic car collection, also recently spoke out on electric cars.
"I’m not interested in electric cars at all," he told AirMail in an interview published Saturday. "Anybody else wants to do it, that’s fine. I think it’s a big, stupid virtue signal. ‘Look at me. I’m saving the planet, yeah.' What about the lithium? It’s all BS."

The stand-up comedian joked after he was asked about self-driving cars, that he always tells his kids: "that their kids will say to them, ‘You mean, when you grew up, they would let people just drive at any speed and steer the car themselves? Didn’t they just crash and kill themselves constantly?’ Yeah."
The 72-year-old is known for collecting rare Porsches, and he’s not sure how many he has right now.
"I always say it’s an amount that if you looked at it, you would not say, ‘This makes sense.’"
