Spencer Pratt claims Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx privately endorsed his mayoral bid
Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt is name-dropping some A-list celebrities who are allegedly in his corner.
During an interview with Us Weekly, the former reality TV star — who announced his candidacy in January — opened up about his newfound purpose and why he believes certain celebrities are backing him.
"I don’t name-drop, but I had two of my favorite people ever support me. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx both said, ‘Please, Mr. Mayor, we want these streets safe again.’ If their reps try to deny this happened, I have multiple witnesses. It was an out-of-body experience," he said.
Fox News Digital understands that DiCaprio has not publicly or privately endorsed any candidate.
A representative for Foxx did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Earlier this year, Pratt opened up to Fox News Digital about the private endorsements he's allegedly received from multiple celebrities.
"I know actual A-list stars support what I do, because I’ve been at restaurants, and they sit down at the table, and they quiz me about everything that I know for 20 minutes and thank me," Pratt said. "But these people know if they do that publicly, they risk losing their careers that some of them have been working for 30 years to have."
Throughout his campaign, Pratt has emphasized issues such as homelessness, public safety and government spending, positioning himself as a political outsider challenging the status quo in Los Angeles and drawing support from voters dissatisfied with current leadership.
In recent weeks, Pratt's campaign has gained momentum after receiving high-profile donations, including a contribution from Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, and earning support from Hollywood stars like Katharine McPhee, David Foster and more.

Pratt uploaded a video showing himself giving a tour of the Airstream trailer where he now lives, parked amid the rubble of his Pacific Palisades property after it was destroyed in the L.A. fires.

"Spencer for Mayor," Hilton wrote, adding a raised hands emoji.
During Wednesday's episode of Fox News' "The Story with Martha MacCallum," Billy Bush backed Pratt as well.
"We feel, you know, there's a sadness that comes and an empathy that comes from homelessness, but aggravated angry drug addicts who are in your face and scaring people, that's not OK," he said. "And under Karen Bass, it has gotten worse and worse. It is a terrible situation. And, you know, this guy stepped up. Who else stepped up? He's the best chance Los Angeles has. And we're getting behind him."
Other stars have called out the former reality TV star, including Chelsea Handler and Drew Carey.

During an appearance on "Today" in April, former "Hills" co-star Lauren Conrad — who famously feuded with Pratt for years — quickly sidestepped whether she would vote for him.
"I'm not a resident of Los Angles," said Conrad, who was promoting the upcoming reunion of "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" at the time.

"If I’m not gonna get elected mayor because I never apologized to LC, I’ll take that," Pratt, who feuded with Conrad for years, recently told Vanity Fair. "So you can put that in bold… people can die on the streets because LC got paid millions because I boosted our show and I took the fall as the full villain, and she got to be the poor damsel in distress."
Of his mayoral run, Pratt told Us Weekly he never thought he'd be here.
"I truly never imagined I would actually probably [become] the mayor. I just wanted somebody to [tell] the truth, and I wanted to have that platform as a candidate against [Bass] to get the truth. You can just get away with lying if you don’t have somebody saying that’s not true."
"The interactions I have with people are what continue to drive me," he added. "It doesn’t matter if I have all these viral videos — [it’s about] what I feel from people in the streets around L.A. That energy shows me how much support [I have].
Three wounded in Swiss train station 'bladed weapon' attack, phrase 'Allahu Akbar' allegedly shouted
A man suspected of attacking three individuals at a train station in Switzerland on Thursday morning has been arrested, according to Zurich Cantonal Police.
"About 30 meters away, I heard a man behind me shout 'Allahu akbar' five or six times, very emotionally and agitatedly," one witness reported recalled to the outlet Blick.
"Shortly after 8:30 a.m., a man injured three people with a bladed weapon at Winterthur train station. The suspected perpetrator was arrested by police. He is a 31-year-old Swiss national," Zurich Cantonal Police said.

Years ago my friends and I started a cigar club. We would meet on Thursday nights ( we wouldn’t mow, but we would mow down some great cigars) and sit around a pool and discuss life. The conversations generally stuck to three things, women, sports and cars. We only had a couple of rules.
This is where I get to Sara.
Sara, you, and women like you, are the reason that we did not allow women at our meetings. You, and women like you, ruin everything, you just do. Joe has many female readers of this column, I’m not sure if any of them have written in to voice their displeasure about the content, maybe they have, I just don’t remember. Congrats, you may be the official first, a badge of honor in your circle I’m sure. Here is a suggestion, don’t click on the link. See, wasn’t that easy? But here’s the thing, you won’t take that advice, you’ll continue to click on the link, continue to complain and continue to be offended. You’ll continue to e-mail your displeasure about the content, you’ll continue to go out of your way to be offended. You know what? I’m here for it, please, keep clicking and being offended, I insist.

Quick report from the Valley of the Sun. The side-by-side has been parked in the garage for summer after getting some good rides in during the beautiful spring months. Below are a couple pics, including an old timey western ghost town that we rode to for lunch. Place was straight out of a John Wayne movie, minus all the people taking selfies with their phones. Now it’s full on pool season with temps in the 90s here. Time to enjoy those pool days in the backyard.

Or, because you're from Dayton, D.L. Stewart and Bob Batz. (For your non-J School readers, a "three-dot" column is a column that covers a handful of different topics, with only a paragraph or two devoted to each item, with the items separated by an ellipses - ". . ." Herb Caen from San Francisco and Mike Royko from Chicago were two of the best known, along with Meyer Berger from New York. Max Miller in San Diego was one of the first, and a collection of his columns he published in book form - "I Cover the Waterfront" - was even turned into a decent flick, so Hollywood may yet be in your future, Joe!)
Even the legendary sports columnists wrote about themselves all the time! Each summer, the great Red Smith from New York went on an extended fishing trip with Si Burick from the Dayton Daily News and Jack Murphy of the San Diego Union. Upon their return, each of them wrote a column or two about the trip - about themselves! That was a tradition the late Bryce Miller, whom we lost far too young last year, continued at the San Diego Union-Tribune, writing about his annual fishing trip with his buddies. As for the great humor columnists - Erma Bombeck from our hometown of Dayton - Lewis Grizzard, Dave Barry, etc., - ALL wrote / write about themselves! It's WHY they - and ScreenCaps - were/are so populars: They touched a chord in readers' own lives. Most of us in SC Nation have coached our kids, have helped a spouse tackle the yard and garden, have had road trips with our kids or parents.
Don't you dare change a thing about ScreenCaps!

If McDonald's brought back Playlands, you'd have grown Disney dork couples flocking to Playland locations.
That's why I have BEGGED Wendy's to bring back ONE Superbar location and place it in Tipp City, Ohio. On the west side of I-75. That would be about seven miles from the Crossroads of America where I-70 and I-75 meet.

Aaron Rai shares the unthinkable thing his father was doing during his PGA Championship victory
Aaron Rai's father was not in attendance at Aronimink Golf Club to see his son hoist the Wanamaker Trophy following his three-shot victory at the PGA Championship. The Englishman's old man not being on site to witness Rai become a major champion isn't necessarily a surprise, but what Mr. Rai was doing during the moment was legitimately mindblowing.
During an appearance on Golf Channel's "5 Club" program, Rai shared that shortly after earning the life-changing victory, he picked up the phone and called his dad. However, his father didn't pick up, and not because he was out running in the streets celebrating his son's win, but because he was asleep.
"He was actually asleep," Rai said with a laugh. "He's got a camper van, and he loves being out in that and traveling around the UK in his camper van. And then the time difference, he'd actually fallen asleep for probably the last hour, hour and a half of that round."

Grammy winner Lauren Daigle says a label exec asked why she had 'to be Christian' despite 'superstar' status
Christian singer Lauren Daigle remembers the moment that a mainstream executive questioned her commitment to her faith like it was yesterday.
During an interview with Fox News Digital at the 13th Annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, Daigle opened up about the time a label head approached her in New York City and asked, "You're a superstar. Why do you have to be Christian?"
"It was this moment of me laughing so hard because I knew what she was trying to say," she said. "Like, we could really do something with this if you weren't Christian. And, but I love the fact that I get to share this message."
Daigle and Sadie Robertson Huff co-hosted the 13th Annual K-LOVE Fan Awards live at the OPRY House on May 24. The awards show is set to be broadcast on May 29 at 7:30 pm ET on Trinity Broadcasting.
Diagle shared that she's felt pressure from both sides as she navigates her music career.

Daigle and "Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson Huff hosted the 13th Annual K-LOVE Fan Awards on May 24, with the show airing on May 29 at 7:30 p.m. ET on Trinity Broadcasting Network.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Robertson Huff explained that this award show feels more like a worship service than the typical ceremony.

Clarence Thomas puts Dems on clock as Alabama GOP emergency map bid stalled
Justice Clarence Thomas declined to immediately hand Alabama Republicans a win Wednesday, but ordered their voting rights challengers to quickly defend a court-drawn congressional map that helped Democrats flip a deep-red state House seat.
Alabama's Republican Attorney General requested emergency relief, asking the Supreme Court to immediately revive the state's 2023 legislature-drawn congressional map after a lower court blocked it, ruling that the state must continue using a special-master map approved by the courts that created a second Black-opportunity district and helped elect Democratic Rep. Shomari Figures in 2024.
On Wednesday, Justice Thomas, who is assigned to the 11th circuit, declined to immediately restore the 2023 congressional map but also ordered the case's voting rights plaintiffs to provide an explanation by Monday on why that legislature-drawn map should not be used.
Thomas's ruling is the latest in a years-long redistricting saga that was given new life following an April Supreme Court ruling that narrowed the interpretation of a provision in the Voting Rights Act used by Democrats in their redistricting fights. Prior to the April ruling, the Supreme Court upheld a challenge to the state’s 2020 census-drawn map and a court-approved special-master map preferred by Democrats was implemented, which reshaped the state's 2nd District and flipped a solidly GOP-held seat that gave Democrats another House seat.
In its emergency application, Alabama argued an immediate stay was needed because the lower-court ruling "defies Callais, manipulates the Purcell principle, and offends the Constitution’s promise of equal protection for all."
Alabama is leaning on the Supreme Court’s recent April ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, which gave Republicans a new weapon against maps from left-wing voting rights activists by making it harder for them to force additional primarily minority districts under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act.
The decision from the Supreme Court ultimately fueled a wave of fresh redistricting efforts in GOP-led states, including Alabama, which used the Supreme Court’s new Louisiana v. Callais ruling to ask the justices to revisit the lower-court orders blocking the 2023 legislature-drawn map.

In response to the Louisiana case's ruling, the Supreme Court ruled earlier this month on May 11 that the lower court's judgment blocking Alabama's 2023 map should be vacated and sent back for another look. However, on Tuesday, the three-judge federal district court blocked the 2023 map and ordered the court-approved special master map to continue to be used, leading to Alabama's request for emergency relief on Wednesday that was ruled on by Justice Thomas.
The timing of Thomas’ order comes as Alabama officials have already tried to prepare for a rapid switch back to the 2023 map.
After the Supreme Court’s earlier May 11 order sent the case back to the lower court, Gov. Kay Ivey called Aug. 11 special primaries for the affected 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th Congressional Districts, saying the state was ready to move forward with its Alabama legislature-drawn map.
Fox News Digital reached out to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall and the American Civil Liberties Union, which is acting as counsel for the left-wing voting rights plaintiffs in the case, but did not receive a response from either parties in time for publication.
Anti-ICE agitators throw wooden pallets, mattresses at federal agents during chaotic NJ detention center clash
Demonstrations outside Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, New Jersey, turned violent Wednesday night when keffiyeh-clad agitators clashed with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, hurling objects across a barrier as tensions continued to escalate.
The agitators, engaging in the fifth night of demonstrations against allegedly poor conditions for illegal aliens held at the detention center, wielded mattresses and large traffic cones as makeshift shields.
Video obtained by Fox News Digital shows agitators shouting "kill yourself, bro!" and "how do you live with yourself?" while tossing mattresses and other objects at agents.
The ICE agents deployed batons, pepper spray and threw objects back, in one instance tossing a wooden pallet at an agitator after yanking it away, according to video from the scene.

ICE agents also deployed pepper balls against the crowds, according to journalist Oliya Scootercaster.
The agitators used cement blocks and sandbags to reinforce their line, videos and pictures obtained by Fox News Digital showed.
Crowds also blocked the surrounding street, a busy industrial corridor, and prevented trucks from moving through, social media video shows. One truck driver got out of his car and castigated the agitators.
"Come on! What's wrong with y'all?" the driver yelled, according to video posted by Scootercaster.

The Wednesday night clashes follow similar confrontations Tuesday night that saw ICE agents beat back agitators with batons and deploy chemicals. ICE agents reacted after agitators attempted to stop vehicles from leaving the facility. Authorities made two arrests stemming from the incident after agitators sprayed unknown substances on law enforcement agents.
"ICE law enforcement officers were assaulted by anti-ICE rioters who sprayed law enforcement with an unknown chemical substance," DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin wrote in a post on X.
Demonstrations have been ongoing for days after detainees in the facility wrote an open letter claiming they were not being fed, not receiving proper medical care and not being allowed to speak to their families.

"We are being tortured physically and psychologically due to the poor food resources provided in these detention centers," the letter read.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) refuted these claims in a statement.
"The facts are all detainees are provided with 3 meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, and toiletries. Illegal aliens also have access to phones to communicate with their family members and lawyers," the agency said in a statement.
Protests picked up steam when prominent New Jersey lawmakers showed up on Memorial Day. Sen. Andy Kim, D-N.J., and Democratic Gov. Mikie Sherrill visited Monday and attempted to enter the facility.

Kim was granted access to conduct congressional oversight, though Sherrill was not.
Kim detailed his entry into the facility in a series of X posts, calling the conditions "unacceptable" and citing a carton of milk he saw that was set to expire the next day. Mullin responded on X.
"It’s unfortunate that Senator Andy Kim (who I’ve had a good relationship with) is spreading this FALSE narrative and adding fuel to the fire for no other reason than political theater. This isn’t a Holiday Inn. Illegal aliens are at this detention facility because they broke our nation’s laws," Mullin wrote.
Mullin also criticized the state's leadership during a Thursday morning appearance on Fox & Friends for not supporting federal efforts with local law enforcement.
"We called local police, we called state police multiple times. Listen, I know the law enforcement there would love to respond, but because of Governor Sherrill's behavior what the governor is doing, she's not allowing public officers and state officers to respond," Mullin said.
He also said a continued lack of cooperation could lead to a slowdown at local airports.
"If they're not allowing it then we gotta prioritize federal police officers and that may affect international flights coming in and out of their airport. Because I'm gonna have to pull Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers out of being able to process international flights and put them helping our ICE agents," Mullin said.

Baltimore jumped on him for five runs on eight hits in four innings, completing a series sweep 11-2.
It was Heasley’s first appearance in the big leagues since May 2024 when he was with the Orioles. He was called up from Triple-A hours before first pitch.

"Obviously would love to see a little bit better results out there, but at the end of the day, I think just kind of putting things in perspective and kind of remembering what it took to get here and just how much it means to get back out there," he told reporters after the game, via MLB.com.
"For me there’s definitely some reward in that."
Rays starter Steven Matz also felt the full force of the Orioles’ offense. Baltimore tagged him for six runs on seven hits in only three innings of work.
Gunnar Henderson hit two home runs in the game, driving in three. Blaze Alexander also had a home run.
Baltimore improved to 26-30 on the season. Tampa Bay fell to 34-19.
