NORAD F-16 intercepts aircraft that violated restricted airspace over Camp David with Trump present
A NORAD F-16 fighter jet intercepted an aircraft that violated restricted airspace over the area of Camp David Saturday morning while President Donald Trump is spending the weekend there, according to officials.
There is a permanent no-fly zone over Camp David in Maryland, with additional restrictions when the president is there.
NORAD dispensed flares during the intercept to get the pilot’s attention, and were able to safely escort them out of the area, the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS) said in a release.

"Should NORAD aircraft intercept a general aviation aircraft, the pilot should immediately come up on frequency 121.5 or 243.0 and turn around to reverse course until receiving additional instructions on one of those frequencies," the release said.

"Pilots! @NORADCommand fighter aircraft intercepted an aircraft violating restricted airspace over Thurmont, MD, resulting in flares being deployed," the First Air Force, part of NORAD, wrote on X on Saturday. "Make sure to check NOTAMs before takeoff to ensure you have current information about TFRs in your area. Stay Safe, Fly Informed!"
A plane was last intercepted over Camp David in June when Trump was staying there. That pilot was also safely escorted away.

Hasan Piker says he’d ‘absolutely’ campaign for AOC in 2028 as El-Sayed distances himself
Twitch streamer Hasan Piker said he would "absolutely" campaign for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., if she runs for president in 2028, as some Democratic politicians distance themselves from the streamer over his past remarks.
Appearing on an episode of "The Axios Show," taped in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Piker revealed his interest in working as a campaign surrogate for Ocasio-Cortez.
"What goes on behind the scenes in the Democratic Party and what gets talked about is entirely different, I think in many respects," Piker said.
Asked point-blank if he would campaign for Ocasio-Cortez in 2028, Piker said, "Oh, absolutely, yes."

The controversial streamer revealed he has also been in touch with Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT, along with "politicians that you would not expect, that are not immediately seen as allies to Democratic socialists."
Piker's comments come as some Democratic politicians have begun distancing themselves from him following controversial remarks — including Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic U.S. Senate nominee in Michigan.

When asked if Piker had been invited to campaign for El-Sayed, he said that he had not been asked to stay away from — or come to — Michigan.

He added that if El-Sayed were to call on him to campaign this close to the upcoming midterms, "there’d be real deep problems."
"My job isn’t to get 65-plus-year-olds out to vote for the Democratic candidate," Piker continued. "My job is to get under 45-year-old, college-educated, and non-college-educated men to come out and participate."

Piker's comments during the Axios interview drew a public rebuke from El-Sayed after interviewer Alex Thompson recalled Piker's previous statement that "America is the top dog in terrorism."
"Do you think America, then, is worse than al Qaeda?" Thompson asked.

"Pound for pound as far as the number of deaths, yes," Piker replied. "We have caused tremendous terror all around the world."
"I think that that is not only terror that we are waging on regular civilians, and nations in the periphery, but it's also having consequences on ourselves," the Twitch streamer continued. "It's having dramatic consequences on the home front."
"One clear example of this is what we did in Minab [Iran]," Piker said, referring to a strike on a school earlier this year. A United Nations fact-finding mission said it found "reasonable grounds to believe" the U.S. carried out the strike and that the attack amounted to the war crime of launching an indiscriminate attack. "There's no distinction between blowing up a school, triple-tapping it with Tomahawk missiles. If you're killing 140 schoolgirls, that is an act of terror."

Piker finished his thought by conceding that not all Americans are terrorists, but emphasized the need for an "environment of accountability."

The Twitch streamer’s inflammatory stance was quickly denounced by El-Sayed’s campaign, which condemned the views in a statement to Axios and Fox News Digital.
"I do not agree with this statement [on al-Qaeda], nor do I give much weight to the statements made by a social media streamer," the campaign told the outlet. "I am more concerned with the dangerous policies of Donald Trump and Mike Rogers that are raising the prices of gas, groceries and healthcare for Michiganders."
Piker’s apparent scramble to align himself with high-profile Democrats ahead of the midterm elections was noted by Kaivan Shroff, a media commentator and former digital organizer for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.
"The central tension with Hasan is that he wants his electoral influence taken seriously, but he also wants to operate like a streamer with no responsibility for what his comments create for the candidates he supports," Shroff told Fox News Digital. "You can’t claim credit for helping politicians win and then treat the consequences of your own rhetoric as their problem."

Shroff said that Piker’s comments regarding Ocasio-Cortez are "a perfect example," adding that, "saying publicly that you’re talking to her and her team turns that relationship into a political story whether they wanted one or not. If the goal is to help a candidate, sometimes the most useful thing you can do is not make yourself the story."
He also pointed to the conflicting priorities between Piker and El-Sayed, which may be a factor in the division between the two far-left Democrats.
"El-Sayed has every reason to make clear that Hasan does not speak for his campaign, and Hasan criticizing him for creating that distance exposes the conflicting incentives here," Shroff said. "A candidate has to answer to voters…a streamer has to keep an audience engaged. If Hasan really wants to help the candidates he supports, an easier solution would be to stop handing them inflammatory comments they then have to explain and go away for a while."

To celebrate the launch, Hormel partnered with New York City's Win Son Bakery, where customers can try two limited-time menu items through Sept. 20 at its Brooklyn and Manhattan locations: a breakfast sandwich and a fan tuan, a traditional Taiwanese sticky rice roll, according to a press release.

The SPAM launch is the latest example of hot honey spreading across grocery shelves and restaurant menus. In recent years, chains and brands have rolled out hot honey menu items, sauces, potato chips and bacon, as companies recognize a growing appetite for "swicy" — sweet and spicy — flavors.
Introduced by Hormel in 1937, SPAM gained popularity during World War II, when more than 100 million pounds were shipped to feed Allied troops. Today, the canned meat has sold more than 9 billion cans worldwide and remains especially popular in Hawaii and parts of Asia, Fox News Digital previously reported.
Trump announces new 'AI Force,' vows to protect industry as AI czar announcement nears
President Donald Trump announced Saturday that he is creating an "AI Force" and plans to name an artificial intelligence czar as his administration pushes to accelerate the growth of AI in the U.S.
Trump said in a lengthy Truth Social post that his administration would resist efforts to restrict the rapidly developing technology while using the existing criminal and civil justice systems to address potential wrongdoing.
"We will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry," the post read. "Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows!"

Trump added that the government would also be "looking for BAD" and said existing criminal and civil laws could be used to address problems involving the technology.

Trump did not provide details about the structure, authority or membership of the proposed AI Force, or identify potential candidates to serve as its czar.

Trump's announcement comes as lawmakers grapple with whether and how to regulate the rapidly developing technology.
Some Republicans have questioned calls for additional government oversight, while others have pushed for safeguards after AI industry leaders raised concerns about increasingly capable models.
Earlier this week, Trump joined the debate by rejecting calls for additional government regulation of the industry, arguing that restrictions could hinder the U.S. in its competition with China.
In Saturday’s post, Trump compared criticism of AI and data centers to several other political controversies and argued that opposition to data-center construction had largely failed.
Trump also predicted that AI could eventually account for as much as 25% of U.S. gross domestic product, though he did not cite a source for the estimate.
"AI is the next Industrial Revolution, or Internet, but will be even larger and more impactful, possibly as much as 25% of our Country’s GDP," he wrote. "We are leading China, and the rest of the World, and I intend to keep it that way!"
In a separate Truth Social post, Trump asked people to choose within the post on what to call AI.
"Many people think that the words "Artificial Intelligence" are inaccurate, and very ineloquent, relative to AI, or Artificial Intelligence. A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (EI) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI)," he wrote. Wendy's revives nostalgic yellow packaging after it spent decades away
Eating at Wendy's in the coming weeks will offer a new experience that may look familiar to customers who grew up with the fast-food chain.
A company spokesperson told TODAY.com that Wendy's is bringing back the iconic yellow packaging that appeared on its fry cartons, cups, wrappers and other items for decades.

"Fans have been asking for its return for years, making it one of the most requested comebacks in Wendy's history," the spokesperson said in the statement. "Yellow has been part of Wendy's since the very beginning and is something many fans instantly recognize."
Wendy's will begin rolling out yellow packaging for its Frostys, nuggets, burgers and fries on Sept. 28, with the throwback look continuing into 2027, USA Today reported.
Dave Thomas opened the first Wendy's restaurant in Columbus, Ohio in 1969. Yellow became a recognizable part of the chain's look, though Wendy's branding changed over the years to feature red and white more prominently.
"Like any brand, Wendy's has refreshed its look and feel over time, and our packaging evolved along with it," Wendy's chief marketing and customer growth officer Tariq Hassan told USA Today.

Yet customers apparently missed the yellow.
"Fans asked. Constantly," Hassan said. "It's one of the most requested things we've ever had come back."
Social-media users have been expressing nostalgia for Wendy's vintage-style packaging for years.
"I miss the old Wendy's," a Facebook user captioned photos of Wendy's food in yellow packaging in 2025, adding, "The yellow packaging had powers I think."
"They should do a throwback limited-time deal and bring the yellow back!" someone commented.
"Throwback, when all the Wendy's had the yellow packaging, you just had to be there to remember," another Facebook user captioned a photo collage posted in February showing a 1990s-era Wendy's restaurant, complete with its recognizable sunroom, along with food in yellow packaging.

Reddit discussions about the return of Wendy's old-school look have also drawn dozens of comments, with some users calling for the chain to revive other elements they remember from the 1980s and '90s, including its salad bars and older-style fries.
Wendy's nostalgic packaging is part of a broader trend of major restaurant chains revisiting elements of their past.
More than 150 Pizza Hut locations, for instance, feature old-school dining rooms with red cups, salad bars, checkerboard tables and Tiffany-style stained-glass lamps reminiscent of the chain's restaurants in the 1980s and '90s.
Known as "Pizza Hut Classic" restaurants, the locations also feature promotional materials for BOOK IT!, the reading incentive program Pizza Hut launched in 1984 and continues to operate today.

People drive from as far as three hours away to eat at Pizza Hut Classic restaurants, a franchise owner previously told Fox News Digital.
Taco Bell has similarly tapped into nostalgia through its "Decades" campaigns, bringing back fan-favorite menu items from different eras while rolling out retro-inspired merchandise, commemorative cups and other throwback experiences.
The chain's latest Decades menu, launched in August, revived several items associated with 2016, including the Naked Chicken Chalupa, Meximelt, Beefy Crunch Burrito and Caramel Apple Empanada for a limited time.
McDonald's has also returned past favorites to its menu. Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Mighty Hot Sauce are currently back at participating restaurants for a limited time.
Clay Aiken 'died inside' after Rosie O'Donnell outed him on 'The View' in 2006
Clay Aiken is reflecting on a difficult moment in his life.
During a recent appearance on Page Six Radio, the 47-year-old singer opened up about being outed by Rosie O'Donnell during an episode of "The View" in November 2006 during an on-air discussion with Kelly Ripa.
"I died inside a lot that week," he said. "I got woken up by my son's mother who said, 'Um, you need to wake up because Rosie just outed you on 'The View.' I woke up. I was freaked out."
O'Donnell's confrontation with Ripa came shortly after Aiken playfully put his hand over Ripa's mouth while he was co-hosting "Live with Regis and Kelly." Ripa didn't find the joke funny, and after removing his hand from her mouth said, "I don’t know where that hand’s been, honey."

"I was in L.A. when that aired, and I don't have any ill feelings against Rosie, she did mean well," he said. "Her words were, I think, chosen in the heat of like, 'why the hell is this girl on live TV with me right now?'"
At the time, Ripa defended herself from O'Donnell, saying her comment was made because "he's shaking hands with everybody in the audience" during cold and flu season, saying it was "outrageous" to imply she was being "homophobic."

Aiken later referenced the awkward on-air moment when presenting at the VMA Awards with Tori Spelling a few weeks later, calling her "very gracious" in "trying to diffuse the whole situation."

While O'Donnell mistakenly outed the "Invisible" singer while defending him, Aiken didn't publicly confirm his sexuality until September 2008, when he posed for the cover of People with his newborn son with the headline, "Yes, I'm Gay."
"It was the first decision I made as a father," Aiken told the outlet at the time. "I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that."
His son was born via invitro fertilization with his close friend and music producer, Jaymes Foster.
Aiken made a name for himself when he competed on season two of "American Idol" in 2003. He finished in second place as the runner-up to Ruben Studdard.

Sharon Stone claims ex-husband signed her up for brain surgery without her consent after stroke
Sharon Stone is opening up about a traumatic time in her life.
During a recent appearance on the "Mayim Bialik's Breakdown" podcast, the 68-year-old actress recalled the moment she woke up on a gurney to find she was on her way to get exploratory brain surgery, which her husband at the time, Phil Bronstein, allegedly signed her up for, but she never consented to.
The incident occurred in 2001, after she found herself in the neurological intensive care unit following a subarachnoid hemorrhage and stroke which caused her to go in and out of consciousness.
"First I woke up, and I was being wheeled to exploratory brain surgery," she said. "He had signed me up for exploratory brain surgery without my knowledge or consent. And I woke up again because the gurney hit something on the floor."
Stone recalled the doctor continuing to wheel her to surgery despite the fact that she didn't consent to or want it. She explained he told her, "Don't worry. It's all been taken care of."
"So I stood up on the gurney with my hospital gown open, my a-- in the breeze, and suddenly everyone came running – nurses, orderlies, everybody," she said. "And this a--hole doctor, and he had a fax in his hand and he was screaming, 'You can't do that. I'm on the phone with People magazine.'"
She continued arguing with the doctor and telling him she never signed off on that, to which the doctor replied, "Yes, you did. I said you did. And I'm on the phone with People magazine," implying he has told them she is in surgery.
After telling her he had the right to speak with the magazine because he was her doctor, Stone said she fired him.

"He said, 'You can't do that,' and this head nurse who saved my life, this like 50-year-old head nurse, beautiful blonde woman, came out, and she said, 'Well, she just did, sir. She just did,'" Stone said. "And she said, 'Take her back to her room.' And I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for her."
During the interview, Stone also alleged that Bronstein initially delayed taking her to the hospital and then kept telling doctors "that I was faking it."
Stone has spoken about her stroke many times over the years, and went into detail about her recovery in a 2014 essay in The Hollywood Reporter.
"I had a massive brain hemorrhage. So I know what the alternative to growing older is," she wrote for the outlet. "I bled in my brain for nine days. I spent two years learning to walk and talk again. I came home from that stroke stuttering, couldn’t read for two years. I was in an ICU for nine days and the survival rate for what I went through is very low. I don’t need someone to make me feel bad about growing older. I’ll tell you what makes you feel bad: when you think you might not."

Despite sky-high prices, Las Vegas tourism is finally showing signs of a rebound
Las Vegas tourism took a hit last year, but new data suggests Sin City may be showing signs of life again.
Las Vegas topped Priceline's list of U.S. destinations with the biggest year-over-year increase in searches for September, beating out Orlando and New York, the New York Post reported.
The city also welcomed 2.7% more visitors in July compared with the same month last year, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). That marks a partial recovery after visitation fell 12% in July 2025.

Las Vegas has yet to fully recover to its pre-pandemic tourism levels.
In 2025, Las Vegas welcomed 38.5 million visitors, down 7.5% from 2024, according to the LVCVA. Visitor spending fell to $50.8 billion that year, down from $55.1 billion in 2024, according to a report presented to the LVCVA board.
LVCVA President and CEO Steve Hill told the Nevada Economic Forum earlier this month that annual visitor volume remains about 10% below the 42.5 million visitors recorded in 2019.
One major factor is the decline in Canadian travelers, historically Las Vegas' largest international market. Canadian visitation is down about 30% from 2019 levels, Hill said, while airfare to and from Las Vegas has climbed more than 20% in recent months, according to reports.
"We are still gradually losing leisure travelers," Hill told the panel. "But right now our convention attendance is so strong that it is more than overcoming that number."
Las Vegas visitors are also getting wealthier — and fewer of them are in their 20s.

In 2025, 75% of visitors earned $100,000 or more, according to the LVCVA, and 44% earned $150,000 or more, News 3 Las Vegas reported. Meanwhile, visitation among tourists ages 21 to 29 has fallen more than 10% since 2022, according to the LVCVA.
"Gaming was once the dominant revenue driver," luxury-travel expert Whytney Rawls previously told Fox News Digital. "Today, a much larger share comes from premium room rates, luxury dining, nightlife, entertainment, retail, and large-scale events."
Vegas has evolved to capitalize on booming luxury travel by increasingly catering to wealthy clientele, Rawls added. Lavish new restaurants, upgraded hospitality packages and high-profile events such as the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix illustrate the city's push toward premium experiences.

Live entertainment remains another major draw.
The Sphere grossed $379 million on 1.7 million tickets sold in 2025, making it the world's highest-grossing arena for the year, according to Pollstar data reported by The Wall Street Journal.
