Trump-backed Navy SEAL vet delivers major blow to Massie in fiery GOP primary
President Donald Trump on Tuesday scored another victory in his revenge campaign against GOP critics, further flexing his grip on the Republican Party after a string of primary wins in recent weeks.
Trump-backed Ed Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL and Kentucky farmer, defeated the president’s longtime antagonist, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., according to The Associated Press.
Gallrein’s victory represents a major win for Trump’s political operation and pro-Israel allied groups, who spent aggressively to unseat the sitting lawmaker.

Trump repeatedly unleashed on Massie in unusually personal terms in the final days of the primary contest, while spotlighting his endorsement of Gallrein, who he recruited into the race.
The president called Massie, who has frequently opposed parts of his legislative agenda, the "worst ‘Republican’ congressman in history" on Monday.
Gallrein echoed the president’s attack in an interview with Fox News Digital on Monday.
"My opponent, he's running against President Trump and the agenda that has been put forward by the Republican Party," Gallrein said.
But Massie fired back that Trump’s endorsement of Gallrein was not an insurmountable challenge due to support among the conservative grassroots for his maverick politics.
"I've got the groundswell here, like my events. I've got 100–200, sometimes 300 people show up," Massie told Fox News Digital. "My opponent had to cancel events because he couldn't get enough people, you know, to fill up a Dairy Queen, half a Dairy Queen."
"We've been able to match them to go toe-to-toe with them on TV using grassroots donors, and it's really galvanized the nation," he continued.
Massie also charged that Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth’s decision to campaign for Gallrein on Monday showed Trump’s political operation believed Massie was "up in the polls."
"They wouldn't be sending the Secretary of War to my congressional district if I weren't," he added.
Trump also personally campaigned against Massie in his solidly Republican district in March, calling him "disloyal" to the Republican Party and the United States.

A libertarian-minded lawmaker, Massie was one of a handful of Republicans to vote against the president’s landmark tax cut and spending law, citing its impact on budget deficits. He also helped engineer the legislative effort compelling the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files over the vigorous objections of the White House, which later endorsed the effort.
As of late, Massie has emerged as one of the fiercest Republican critics of Trump’s war with Iran and has repeatedly voted with Democrats to curtail the military campaign.
That policy stance — combined with his votes against military aid to Israel and resolutions denouncing antisemitism — drew pro-Israel donors allied with Trump into the race to defeat Massie.
"Here's the thing, I've got nothing against Israel. I just have never voted for foreign aid," Massie told Fox News Digital. "When I said America First, I meant it. I don't vote for foreign aid to Egypt, to Syria, to Ukraine. I've got a flawless record on this, and I'm not going to ruin it by sending foreign aid to one country."
The Kentucky primary contest comes after a string of closely watched GOP primary contests where Trump’s endorsement power proved consequential.
The president celebrated unseating five Indiana GOP lawmakers earlier in May who helped block the state from redrawing its congressional map to benefit Republicans ahead of November’s midterm elections. Another win for the president came Saturday after Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., was shut out of the runoff election for a third Senate term.
The defeated senator notably voted to convict Trump following his second impeachment in January 2021.
Massie successfully fended off primary opponents in 2022 and 2024, though Gallrein posed the most formidable challenge to the incumbent since Massie first won election to the House in 2012.
The victor is expected to cruise to the general election in the deep-red district.
Man plays musical DWI chairs with his friend after showing up drunk to pick them up from DWI arrest
A man with a prior DWI conviction already under his belt allegedly showed up drunk to the county jail to pick up a friend who had been released after their own DWI arrest.
He did not pass go and did not collect his friend before returning home safely. Antone Glionna, 25, instead played a classic game of musical DWI chairs with the person he was there to drive home.
WRGB Albany reports that he was arrested after deputies suspected that he was intoxicated. Adding to his list of troubles on Saturday, May 16 was the fact that his driver's license had been revoked due to that prior DWI.

Glionna of Hagaman, New York, raised suspicion of those at the Montgomery County Jail shortly after his arrival. According to Sheriff Jeffery T. Smith, of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, he drove into a restricted area instead of using the public parking lot.
A deputy sheriff then talked to him, suspected that he was under the influence and conducted field sobriety tests, which, judging by the fact that he was then arrested for DWI, he must have failed.

When police checked Glionna's DMV records, they learned that his New York State driver's license had been revoked because of a DWI-related conviction and a chemical test refusal.
He went home with several new charges, including unlicensed operation in the first degree and driving with a BAC of 0.08% or higher, among others. He was processed and given an appearance ticket for Glen Town Court.
Authorities said he was then released to a third party. There was no word on whether this third party drove Glionna's friend home too.
It's safe to say when it's time to call for a ride following a DWI arrest, don't call a guy who may or may not be your drinking buddy but definitely has his own DWI.
Pirro doubles down on juvenile crime crackdown after DC mayor candidate calls Trump admin curfews 'dangerous'
U.S. District Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro on Tuesday told Fox News that she plans to implement measures to crack down on juvenile crime with or without local D.C. officials.
The three top Democratic candidates for mayor of the nation's capital all said during a Monday night debate that they would refuse to cooperate with Pirro's recently-announced plan to charge parents of juveniles who break the curfew that the city has imposed.
"The truth is that I'm gonna get what I need one way or the other," Pirro told Fox News' Lawrence B. Jones on "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday morning. "I'm not gonna let some politician determine whether D.C. is going to be safe. Look, the citizens of the nation's capital have the right to expect that they will be safe. In fact, they have a right to demand it."
Pirro announced the plan to hold parents accountable last Friday, but after a massive brawl inside a Navy Yard neighborhood Chipotle went viral, she doubled down in a news conference on Monday.
Hours later, Democrats running for mayor said in unison that they would not work with Pirro, and one even called the curfew plans "dangerous."
"Right now, using the curfew as a tool for our young people is dangerous. It is dangerous because we have federal troops who are in our city, masked ICE agents who are in our city, and these are the people enforcing this law on our young people," said progressive Janeese Lewis George, who currently represents the city's Ward 4 and is leading the polls to succeed Mayor Muriel Bowser.
"And these are not individuals who are trained in de-escalation," she continued. "They are not accountable to D.C. residents. In fact, D.C. residents have already been killed without any accountability because we don't have accountability of those agencies."

She said that instead, the city should expand its youth programming.
Candidates Kenyan McDuffie, a former at-large and Ward 5 councilman, and Gary Goodweather, a real estate developer, along with George, explicitly pledged not to use Metro Police resources to support Pirro's plans.
Currently, Pirro enjoys the support of Bowser in her effort to crack down on violent teen takeovers in the city.

Later in her "Fox & Friends" appearance, Pirro explained just how many tools are at her disposal to handle D.C.'s epidemic of youth violence.

"I can do it through truancy in schools and working with the chancellor of the schools," she said. "I can do it through the family court. I have talked to the local attorney general, who has indicated that he will work with us. I can get it through the courts — persons in need of supervision. Who are their parents? If there [is] already a court order requiring that they follow fundamental rules from the family court."
"I've got a lot of opportunities to go after these parents, and no one is going to stop me from doing that."

Extreme depth made fatal cave dive perilous at luxury honeymoon destination
The search for the remaining bodies of the Italian divers who perished inside a deep underwater cave in the Maldives continued Tuesday, as officials described the recovery mission as "very challenging."
The five Italians, who went missing on Thursday, were killed while diving near Alimathaa, a dive site, in Vaavu Atoll, as The Associated Press reported earlier and as Fox News Digital also reported.
Authorities have recovered three of the divers' bodies — two on Tuesday, and one earlier. The other two bodies have been located but not yet recovered, the AP reported.

Mohamed Hussain Shareef, spokesperson for Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, told the AP the operation was especially dangerous because of the cave's extreme depth.
"Number one, because of the depth. Number two, because of [the] actual terrain, because that specific channel has strong currents, strong downdrafts down toward — and the conditions down there, the visibility, for example, once you enter the cave, would be almost zero," he said.
Shareef said the cave had been explored by both foreign divers and local experts before the tragedy.
The official confirmed that the Italian divers had permits to explore it, but authorities were not sure of the precise area of the cave they were diving in.

The bodies were found about 200 feet underwater — roughly twice the legal depth limit for recreational diving in the Maldives, according to the AP.
Shareef said at least two of the dead divers were not included on the expedition list submitted to authorities before the dive.
"[We] didn’t know they were part of the expedition," he said. "Actually a very challenging dive, you know."

Maldives officials said the Finnish team assisting in the recovery operation located the bodies deep inside the cave, where all four victims were found "pretty much together," the AP said.
The victims were identified as University of Genoa ecology professor Monica Montefalcone, her daughter Giorgia Sommacal, marine biologist Federico Gualtieri, researcher Muriel Oddenino, and diving instructor Gianluca Benedetti.
Vaavu Atoll is a chain of islands in the central Maldives, located southwest of Sri Lanka and India.
Authorities were alerted after the divers failed to surface by midday Thursday amid rough weather conditions, according to the AP.
The cause of the deaths remains under investigation, though the group included experienced divers and marine researchers familiar with underwater exploration.
Carlo Sommacal, Montefalcone's husband, told local newspaper La Repubblica that his wife "would never have put the life of our daughter or other kids at risk."
"Something must have happened," he said in a different interview with an Italian television station, per the AP.

Rohan Raja was a major player on the tag team scene for WWE NXT UK before the brand shut down and folded into the current state of NXT programming. He came a long way from his roots in the United Kingdom and Australia to being a challenger for the tag team titles.
Raja was born in the United Kingdom and was thrust into pro wrestling fandom thanks to his grandfather, father and brother, who were all massive fans. He got his first glimpse at the sport when he was just four years old and knew right away it was a career he wanted to pursue.
"It just became something me and my brother would do all the time and we’d just watch it all the time and when I was a little kid I had that crazy dream that I wanted to be a professional wrestler," he told Fox News Digital in a recent interview. "A lot of people have these crazy dreams when they are younger except a lot of people don’t follow it and it just never stopped and I just dedicated my whole upbringing, like I dedicated my whole life just to be able to do this. That’s pretty much how I got into it."

Raja shared that he was a bit nervous when he first revealed he wanted to become a pro wrestler.
He explained that, as being a person of Indian descent, he was likely going to be steered away from doing something "extraordinary." However, he was stunned to learn how supportive his family was – there was no lecture, no argument. From there, it was about going to the right school to get properly trained and get set up for success.
"I was scared for the longest time," he told Fox News Digital. "I remember I was saving a lot of money because I wanted to move to Calgary (Canada) to get trained by Lance Storm. I was like, man, how am I gonna do this? I remember talking to my brother and my sister and they were like if you have a full plan and you present it to dad and mom, they should be good with it.
"My background is of Indian descent. So, even though, I was born in the UK and I grew up in Australia, we still have those core values, you don’t go for that particular extraordinary career path. You usually go for the safe bet. It was very surprising because when I sat my dad down, I told him, and he was just like, ‘So, what’s next? What school do you want to go to?’ I was just thinking, ‘What? He’s not giving me a lecture?’ From the get go, him and my brother have been like my biggest fans and so has my mom and my sister. It was very relieving to see how they took it."

WWE NXT UK was hardly the first stop for Raja. He went to wrestling school and worked some of the independents in Western Canada. He performed for the Prairie Wrestling Alliance (PWA) in Canada, Real Canadian Wrestling (RCW) and even made his way to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) before he got the chance at possibly trying out for a WWE contract.
He detailed to Fox News Digital how he was able to get the tryout despite not being a Canadian citizen.
"When I was based in Calgary, I worked the western independents in Canada for almost two years and then I moved to Toronto. I was training with Yuki Ishikawa down there and then I had a TNA run briefly. I had a tryout in 2017 and then from 2018-2019 I had a TV run with a group called the Desi Hit Squad back then," he explained. "I ended up asking for my release I think it was around April 2019. Then, I contacted the WWE because they were doing a Canadian tryout in August of that year. I didn’t have any communication with them prior because I was contracted. I was banking on that and I remember I got feedback, like, ‘We know who you are. We’ve been keeping track of you but this tryout is only for Canadians.’ I’m not a Canadian citizen or anything. So I was like, damn man, this is my perfect chance to do it. And I was kinda preparing to move to the UK. I had that in my mind for that next goal.
"Anyway, when I got that, I think it was only a week later or something, I got a contact again saying, ‘No, no, no, you’re on the tryout.’ I had to stay prepared for that. It was a tryout consisting of 50 people across Canada and at the time, I was the only one who got picked. They came to me with a proposal if I wanted to go to the U.S. or the UK but I really wanted to learn British style of wrestling. So, I kinda pushed for the UK since I was going to move there anyway. Fast forward, I ended up moving to the UK, I signed with NXT UK, and had a great time there."
Raja said working at WWE NXT UK helped him learn from some of the best in the industry, like William Regal, and it helped him amplify his TV work.
He said the only disappointment he could think of was awaiting for the debut of NXT Europe, which never came.
"I think the pros are you’re just learning so much, which is great," he said. "The European workers are really good. There’s so many different coaches so you would just learning something every day. I would learn a lot from William Regal. We were in a group and his son was a part of that faction at the time, so I was learning a lot from him. I think if you go into it with a positive mindset, you can retain so much knowledge, you can learn so much. And being at TNA prior, I learned how the TV product works – TV angles and everything. I feel like with NXT, it gave me more of that and I really got this groove going.
"I think the only con I would say was, primarily because the NXT UK shut down at the time, and we thought it was coming back in Europe and they had that in their plans but I think the transition of the whole sale when they ended up selling the company, it kinda got put on hold. So, I think that was the biggest con. But besides that, the whole time I was there, I had a great time."
Raja is now working with Maple Leaf Pro – the Canadian promotion revived by Scott D’Amore. The company recently inked a TV deal with TSN. MLP’s "Mayhem" is set to debut on June 12 and 13.
Andy Barr bests crowded Senate primary with help from Trump on way to replacing McConnell
In one of the most crowded Republican Senate primaries in the country, President Donald Trump's thumb on the scale proved the difference maker.
Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., came out on top of an 11-person bar fight in Kentucky, teeing him up for a showdown in November to replace retiring Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., a one-time ally-turned-thorn in Trump's side.
Though it’s a race overshadowed by another contest, where Trump is the driving factor in the state, it’s still significant, given that Barr and his Democratic opponent will be at the forefront of change in the political status quo of the Bluegrass state.

Whoever comes out on top in November will replace McConnell, the longest-serving Republican leader in Senate history, who has been a political force and polarizing figure during his decades in the upper chamber.
But like so many races during this and previous cycles in the Trump era, the president was the main factor on the Republican side. And Barr’s bid for the upper chamber after serving seven terms in the House was spurred by a late endorsement from Trump earlier this month.
"We did have a lead before the endorsement," Barr said during a campaign event on Monday. "Our lead has skyrocketed since then in the polling that we're looking at, but we don't take anything for granted."

It helped him topple his main opponent, former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, who remained confident that even without Trump’s coveted endorsement, he could still win.
"I think people are tired of the games that are played in Washington and want somebody that's looking out for their interests," Cameron told local news outlet WHAS11 before Election Day.
Trump lauded Barr for his loyalty to him and added that he is the "only Candidate who will easily defeat the Democrat in what will be one of the most important Elections in American History."

Trump also touted Barr as a strong supporter of eliminating the filibuster, the voting barrier that has derailed the GOP’s Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act.
The legislation has so far wallowed in the background in the upper chamber, thanks in part to Democrats’ strong objections to it and a lack of support among Republicans to pass it. Last month, a version of the SAVE America Act failed to gain enough Republican support at a simple 50-vote threshold.
"He will do everything in his power to get it done," Trump said. "It is desperately needed by the Republican Party to pass the SAVE AMERICA ACT, and all other things necessary for a strong and brilliant Country!"
Mango clothing tycoon’s son named suspect in death of billionaire whose brand stretches across US
The son of a billionaire fashion mogul whose clothing company sells apparel across the United States was arrested Tuesday in Spain as authorities investigate his father’s death after a fall in a mountainous tourist area near Barcelona, according to Reuters.
Isak Andic, 71, was hiking with his son in the mountains near Barcelona when he fell about 500 feet down a cliff and died in December 2024. tHE son, Jonathan Andic, 45, was the only witness.
The fatal fall was initially ruled accidental, but now authorities have launched a homicide investigation.

Jonathan, who took over the global fashion empire with his sisters after their dad’s death, was released on 1 million euros bail and ordered to surrender his passport while remaining in Spain during the investigation, Reuters reported.
The younger Andic has denied wrongdoing, and the family has maintained his innocence.
"There is no legitimate evidence against him, nor will any be found," the Andic family said in a statement, according to Reuters.
In a statement, defense lawyer Cristobal Martell told the outlet that the homicide theory was inaccurate.
"But above all, it is painful. It stigmatizes an innocent man. Now the real process begins, and the truth and his innocence will shine through."

Isak, who was born in Istanbul, moved to Catalonia in the northeast of Spain in the 1960s and founded Mango in 1984. He built it into a global group seen as a rival to Zara.
Isak was considered one of Spain’s richest businessmen and built Mango into one of Europe’s largest clothing retailers with a presence in more than 100 countries.

A DEXA scan (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) is an imaging test that uses low-frequency X-rays to measure bone density and analyze total body composition for a complete breakdown of lean muscle, fat mass and visceral fat.
"You lay down and each one of my sisters and my mom — we all live in the same gated community — so we have the van drive by, and we all jump in the van," the Skims founder explained. "You just lay down, and it scans your body — maybe like three minutes — and it tells you all about your bone density."

"I take probably 35 supplements a day. I spread them out three times a day, and I thought, 'OK, I can't do this fish oil right now, like, anymore. I have pill fatigue. I have to stop these fish oil.'"

She added, "I got my blood work and it was so evident that I stopped and I had to start again."
Poehler sided with the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, and said it was always "tough" to take fish oil due to its lingering taste.
"The pills are just so big," Kardashian said. "I was there was like an IV drop I could do every day and I would just do it on my way to work."
Poehler noted that there may be another mobile service out there that could come to her rescue.

Could Ebola spread to the US? WHO emergency sparks fears after American infected in Congo
The World Health Organization has declared an international public health emergency as a growing Ebola outbreak in Central Africa sparks concern that the deadly virus could spread beyond the region — including into the United States.
The outbreak has been linked to dozens of suspected deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and neighboring Uganda.
Ebola is a zoonotic, viral disease that is rare but life-threatening, according to Cleveland Clinic. Outbreaks typically develop in areas of Africa, starting in species like antelope, fruit bats and nonhuman primates.
There are four different Ebola strains, also known as orthoebolaviruses. Bundibugyo virus is the strain that has been detected in the DRC outbreak.
While the outbreak does not meet the criteria for a pandemic emergency, U.S. officials are warning Americans not to visit the area, escalating the State Department travel advisory from a Level 3 to Level 4 on Sunday.
One American tested positive for Ebola on May 17 while working in Congo and is being transported to Germany for treatment with other Americans who are high-risk contacts, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As of May 18, there have been 11 confirmed and 336 suspected cases, including 88 deaths in the DRC.

"This is a rapidly evolving situation, and case counts are subject to change," the CDC noted.
While no cases have been detected in the U.S., there is a possibility that it could make its way into American territory, posing a threat to public health.
Dr. Jacob Glanville, a leading immunologist at Centivax in San Francisco, which is developing a universal flu vaccine, spoke with Fox News Digital about the potential spread of Ebola into the U.S.
The doctor noted that the virus has a two- to 21-day incubation period, during which an infected person can show no symptoms and the infection cannot be detected by tests.

"It is thus possible for Ebola to move across international borders silently, bypassing screening," he said.
"Some travel restrictions from the affected area have been put in place to limit this risk, although as this outbreak was spreading silently for months, it is possible that an infected traveler had come to the U.S. in the past 21 days from the affected areas prior to the travel restrictions."
Glanville noted that while the outbreak is "growing rapidly," one week ago there were fewer than 500 global cases.
"Thus, the chance of an infected traveler having come to the U.S. remains quite low for the time being," he said.
Dr. Robert H. Hopkins, Jr., medical director of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases, agreed that the threat to American communities remains low.
"The viruses that cause Ebola pose a very small risk, even to travelers to areas with outbreaks," the Arkansas-based expert told Fox News Digital. "This virus is transmitted only person-to-person via infected blood and body fluids from symptomatic people, and rarely from infected animals."
Ebola spreads through direct contact with infected blood, bodily fluids or remains of infected people or animals, including fluids such as saliva and sweat, according to Hopkins.
Cleveland Clinic notes that it is "very unlikely" for Ebola to be an airborne infection.

The virus starts with flu-like symptoms, including fever, chills, fatigue, headache, muscle pain, vomiting/diarrhea and loss of appetite. Other signs may include a rash or spots of blood under the skin, hiccups, bruising and red, bloodshot eyes.
As the disease is a type of viral hemorrhagic fever, it causes damage to the blood vessels and can lead to more serious symptoms, including severe bleeding or hemorrhaging, neurological disorders and severe vomiting.
For those who have traveled to the outbreak area, Hopkins recommends monitoring for symptoms for three weeks after departing and seeking immediate care if symptoms develop.
Treatments are available, along with a vaccine that can help protect high-risk individuals and prevent further spread, according to healthcare professionals.

Avoiding contact with blood, body fluids, and sick or deceased people and animals is "highly effective in the prevention of Ebola transmission," Hopkins advised.
"If contact is required, high-quality personal protective equipment is recommended before contact with potentially infectious people and/or materials," he added.

Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens accuses longtime manager of 'stealing' from him: 'Liar and a thief'
Terrell Owens accused his former manager of over 15 years of stealing money from him while working for him.
The Hall of Fame receiver posted a photo of an email pointing out alleged funds and a screen recording of a text exchange between the two in which Owens called out Heather Mesalam for "stealing."
"I’m posting this because (Heather Mesalam) has handled my business affairs for 15+ years and I discovered on last Oct 3rd that she had stolen from me. The video screenshot puts everything in perspective," Owens said in a lengthy Instagram caption.

The photo of the email shows Owens' apparent funds and expenses that Mesalam emailed him, which includes the line, "Me - 1500."
Owens said in a message that those funds were "without my knowledge."
"A PERSON CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH! Growing up my grandmama said there’s 2 people she can’t stand…A LIAR and A THIEF... When you’re managing someone’s affairs and getting paid to do it, you have to be accountable for it!" Owens said. "I haven’t always used my voice when I should but I GOT TIME TODAY."
Owens said he debated putting the business out in public "because of the many questions I would receive of what and/or why," but "with the recent deaths of football players by suicide and for my own mental sanity I need to get this off my chest."
"Because if 'I' had stolen from someone, I’d be ALL OVER the news, media, talking heads at ESPN would be having a field day with it along with blogs where my reputation and character would be questioned and destroyed ruining business opportunities and relationships," Owens continued.

"Heather Mesalam(mezchick), it’s people like you that think that you can just steal from me and think that you’re going to get away with it. Trust me, with ALL that I’ve been through with former agents like Drew and Jason Rosenhaus, the financial advisor Jeff Rubin that they referred me to upon signing with them where they mismanaged football earnings, paying extraordinary child support payments and more."
Rubin was linked to a scandal that involved several NFL players combining to lose over $40 million from 2008 to 2011.
"It's stuff like this that people don’t see and may consider small but it’s what triggers us as athletes and those that have committed suicide in what some call, a selfish act," Owens continued.
Owens also confirmed that Mesalam, "who stole from me," "no longer [works] for me in any capacity" and implored his fans not to worry about him.
"It's getting handled," Owens said.
Fox News Digital reached out to Mesalam for comment.
The former San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys star earned almost $80 million in his career from on-field contracts and endorsements, according to Spotrac.
