Tim Walz pushes back on Minnesota fraud allegations following viral daycare video
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s office is pushing back against fraud allegations after a viral video showed visits to multiple childcare centers in the state, including one that allegedly received millions of dollars in state funding despite appearing largely inactive.
Responding to questions about the allegations and the video posted by independent journalist Nick Shirley, a spokesperson for the governor told Fox News that Walz has spent years working to "crack down on fraud" and has taken steps to strengthen oversight of state programs, including initiating investigations into several facilities.
"The governor has worked for years to crack down on fraud and ask the state legislature for more authority to take aggressive action," the spokesperson said. "He has strengthened oversight — including launching investigations into these specific facilities, one of which was already closed."

The spokesperson added that Walz has "hired an outside firm to audit payments to high-risk programs, shut down the Housing Stabilization Services program entirely, announced a new statewide program integrity director, and supported criminal prosecutions."
The response follows the release of a 42-minute video by Shirley, posted Friday on X and YouTube, documenting visits to several daycare centers in the blue state, including a location on Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis.
In the video, Shirley and another man are seen at what appears to be a largely inactive childcare facility. The building also displays a misspelled sign reading "Quality Learing Center," even though the center is reportedly supposed to account for 99 children and received roughly $4 million in state funds.
During a Sunday appearance on Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show," Shirley said the alleged fraud in Minnesota was "so obvious" that a "kindergartner could figure out that there is fraud going on."
Shirley also suggested other journalists may be reluctant to pursue similar reporting out of fear of being labeled "Islamophobic" or "racist."
"Fraud is fraud, and we work too hard simply just to be paying taxes and enabling fraud to be happening," he said.
The video has sparked widespread backlash, drawing criticism of Walz throughout the weekend from several high-profile figures, including Vice President JD Vance, Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., Donald Trump Jr. and Elon Musk.
The White House on Sunday reposted an X post from Education Secretary Linda McMahon, who called the alleged fraud a "breathtaking failure that has happened under the watch" of Walz.
Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel said the agency has surged additional personnel and investigative resources to Minnesota as part of an ongoing effort to "dismantle large-scale fraud schemes exploiting federal programs."
The video went viral this week amid the burgeoning scandal enveloping the Walz administration that notably included at least $1 billion lost to alleged social services fraud largely tied to the Somali community in the Twin Cities.

Pornhub hit by massive user data leak exposing 200 million records
Pornhub is dealing with fresh fallout after the hacking group ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for a massive user data leak. The group says it stole 94GB of data tied to more than 200 million records and is now attempting to extort the company for a Bitcoin ransom.
According to reporting from BleepingComputer, the hackers say they will publish the data if their demands are not met. Pornhub has acknowledged the situation but maintains its core systems were not breached.

DATA BREACH EXPOSES 400K BANK CUSTOMERS’ INFO
ShinyHunters says the exposed data focuses on Pornhub Premium users. While no financial information was included, the dataset still contains highly sensitive activity details.
The group claims the stolen records include:
Activity logs reportedly show whether a user watched or downloaded a video or viewed a channel. Search histories are also included, which raises serious privacy concerns if the data is released publicly.
The alleged breach appears linked to a separate November security incident involving Mixpanel, a data analytics vendor that previously worked with Pornhub. That earlier breach occurred after a smishing attack gave threat actors access to Mixpanel systems. However, Mixpanel says it does not believe Pornhub data came from that incident. The company stated it found no evidence that the data was taken during its November 2025 breach. Pornhub has also clarified that it stopped working with Mixpanel in 2021. That means the stolen data would be several years old. Reuters contacted some Pornhub customers to verify the claims. Those users confirmed the data tied to their accounts was accurate but outdated, which aligns with the Mixpanel timeline.
Pornhub moved quickly to reassure users following the reports. In a security notice, the company said:
"This was not a breach of Pornhub Premium's systems. Passwords, payment details and financial information remain secure and were not exposed."
That distinction reduces the immediate risk of financial fraud. However, exposure of viewing habits and search activity still carries long-term privacy risks. We reached out to Pornhub for a comment, but did not hear back before our deadline.
ShinyHunters has been linked to some of the most disruptive data breaches this year. The group relies heavily on social engineering tactics such as phishing and smishing to gain access to corporate systems. Once inside, the group typically steals large datasets and uses extortion threats to pressure companies into paying ransoms. This strategy has affected businesses and users worldwide.

Pornhub has updated its online statement to warn Premium members about possible direct contact from cybercriminals. In cases involving adult platforms, this type of outreach often escalates into sextortion attempts, where criminals threaten to expose private activity unless victims pay.
"We are aware that the individuals responsible for this incident have threatened to contact impacted Pornhub Premium users directly. You may therefore receive emails claiming they have your personal information. As a reminder, we will never ask for your password or payment information by email."
Pornhub remains one of the world's most visited adult video platforms. People can view content anonymously or create accounts to upload and interact with videos.

Giants lose No 1 overall pick to Raiders after blowout victory snaps nine-game losing streak
Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants finally got that winning feeling back on game day, but it came at a price.
With their 34-10 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders, they relinquished control of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Raiders now own the pick heading into their regular-season finale in Week 18.
The Giants are 3-13 on the season, while the Raiders move to 2-14.

New York entered this game owning the worst record in the league when accounting for strength of schedule as well. If they lost to the Raiders, the Giants would've solidified the No. 1 pick.
But, of course, no team is trying to lose on game day and the Giants showcased that right in the first quarter after a clutch interception by linebacker Bobby Okereke as Geno Smith and the Raiders’ offense were moving in the Giants’ red zone.
Five plays later, the Giants turned the turnover into the first points of the game, as Devin Singletary scored from one yard out to make it 7-0.

The Raiders would respond with a field goal on the ensuing drive, but Dart, the rookie who has shined despite the Giants’ results this season, wanted to get back into the end zone. He rushed for 12 yards up the middle for the first of his two rushing touchdowns in this game.
Before halftime, the Giants took a 17-3 lead and cemented themselves in a position to break their losing streak of nine straight games.
Smith, though, was hoping that his touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett would get the Raiders back in the game, but the ensuing kickoff proved otherwise.
Deonte Banks, the Giants’ first-round cornerback who has not lived up to those expectations, did showcase his skills in the return game, going 95 yards to the house to make it a 27-10 ball game.
The Giants would seal their victory with a 15-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Dart scampered into the end zone on fourth-and-1 near the goal line.
Wan'Dale Robinson may not have gotten into the end zone for New York, but he did lead the game with 11 receptions for 113 yards in a tremendous performance.
Now, the Giants still have a chance at gaining the No. 1 overall pick back, but it does involve losing. They would need to lose to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18, while the Raiders must defeat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ilhan Omar’s Somaliland stance slammed as Minnesota fraud scandal deepens
Rep. Ilhan Omar’s defense of Somalia’s territorial claims and her opposition to the recognition of an independent Somaliland has been criticized as authorities ramp up investigations into alleged mass fraud in her home state.
One analyst argued the corruption scandal allegedly involving Somali communities in Minnesota is relevant when contrasting failures in Somalia and the stability of Somaliland, an autonomous region that Omar has opposed recognizing.
Michael Rubin, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, claimed highlighting the difference between the two regions "mattered."
"The corruption exposed in Minnesota mirrors the governance failures that have plagued Somalia for decades," Rubin told Fox News Digital.

"Somaliland has charted a different course entirely, relying on internal accountability rather than international assistance and that distinction matters right now," he said.
Minnesota was engulfed in controversy after revelations that fraud losses across multiple government programs since 2018 could total billions of dollars, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Federal authorities have also already dismantled a $250 million scheme tied to the "Feeding Our Future" case, for example, which resulted in 78 indictments and dozens of convictions.
The case was described by FBI Director Kash Patel as "the tip of a very large iceberg."

The scandal gained renewed attention over the weekend after independent commentator Nick Shirley posted a viral video showing shuttered daycare centers that had billed the government millions of dollars while appearing to serve few, if any, children.
Omar has since defended her support for the MEALS Act, legislation critics say weakened oversight safeguards later exploited by fraudulent operators.
Rubin, however, argues Omar’s broader worldview on Somalia also raises questions about her goals.
"Ilhan Omar left Somalia, but Somalia never left her," Rubin said. "In her Somali-language speeches, she refers to Somalia as her home, not America and so it is clear she appears to seek to advance Somalia’s interests on the global stage."
He claimed Omar’s opposition to recognizing Somaliland is driven by internal Somali politics rather than U.S. strategic interests.
"Clan dynamics shape Somali politics, and that same lens appears to inform her position on Somaliland," Rubin said, arguing that Omar has opposed policies that would legitimize the breakaway region.
"American interests don’t appear to factor prominently into that calculation," he added.
Meanwhile, Somaliland continues to attract growing international attention.
After more than three decades of de facto independence, the self-governing territory has maintained internal security, built democratic institutions, and followed closer diplomatic engagement with Israel.
Somaliland has signaled interest in joining the Abraham Accords, positioning itself as a potential partner for U.S. and Israeli interests in the Horn of Africa.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel had established full diplomatic relations with Somaliland, describing the move as being in the spirit of the United States-brokered Abraham Accords.
The announcement made Israel the first UN member state to recognize the self-declared state, which has wanted international acceptance for over three decades.
"The more people learn about Somaliland’s record, the more they will question why the U.S. continues to send billions to Somalia’s internationally recognized government while overlooking a more reliable partner," Rubin added.
President Trump was also reportedly "looking into" the recognition of Somaliland in August.
Trump told the New York Post he has to "study" Netanyahu's pitch and asked from his golf course, "Does anyone know what Somaliland is, really?"
"We’ll study it. I study a lot of things and always make great decisions, and they turn out to be correct," Trump said.
Rubin noted the issue could gain more momentum as Netanyahu is expected to discuss regional security matters with Trump this week.
"The case for Somaliland does align with Trump’s broader foreign policy approach," Rubin said.
"It is business-friendly, security-focused, and takes responsibility for its own territory. It wants partnerships, not perpetual aid. By any reasonable metric, recognizing Somaliland makes sense."

TV personality Savannah Chrisley revealed she will soon join the ladies of ABC's daytime talk show "The View" despite the show's co-hosts' past comments against her parents' pardons.
"I am co-hosting 'The View' the week of February 15, so I'll be on 'The View' all week," Chrisley announced on her podcast "Unlocked" on Tuesday. "I'm so excited for that because I like doing things that challenge me. I like doing things that educate me."
Chrisley acknowledged that the women of "The View" had "bashed" her family in the past but was nevertheless excited about the opportunity.

Trump, Zelenskyy say Ukraine peace deal close but 'thorny issues' remain after Florida talks
President Donald Trump said Sunday that peace talks to end the war in Ukraine are close to completion after a meeting in Florida with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with both leaders citing major progress on a 20-point plan while acknowledging unresolved disputes over territory, ceasefire terms and Ukrainian approval.
Trump and Zelenskyy spoke to reporters following their meeting at Mar-a-Lago, describing weeks of negotiations involving U.S., Ukrainian, European Union and NATO officials that have moved a potential peace framework close to the finish line, though several high-stakes issues remain unresolved.
Trump said negotiations have intensified over the past month and suggested discussions are far more advanced than at any previous point in the war, while cautioning that final agreements depend on resolving a small number of difficult questions.
"We could be very close," Trump said. "There are one or two very thorny issues, very tough issues. But I think we’re doing very well. We made a lot of progress today, but really, we’ve made it over the last month. This is not a one-day process. It’s very complicated stuff."

Zelenskyy echoed that assessment, confirming that negotiators have largely agreed on the framework of a deal and crediting sustained diplomacy across multiple international meetings leading up to the Florida talks.
He said negotiations have taken place over several weeks in cities including Geneva, Miami, Berlin and at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, with American and Ukrainian teams working toward a shared peace framework.
"We discussed all the aspects of the peace framework, which includes – and we have great achievements – a 20-point peace plan, 90% agreed," Zelenskyy said.

Both leaders said European and NATO officials were closely involved in the process, with a joint call held following the meeting that included senior leaders from across the continent and international institutions.
Zelenskyy said teams are expected to meet again in the coming weeks to finalize remaining issues and that Trump has agreed to potentially host further talks in Washington with European leaders and a Ukrainian delegation.
Despite the progress, territory – particularly the status of Donbas – remains one of the most difficult unresolved issues, with Trump and Zelenskyy acknowledging differing positions between Ukraine and Russia.

Trump suggested that time could be a critical factor in negotiations, warning that delays could result in further territorial losses as fighting continues.

Zelenskyy stressed that any final agreement would need to comply with Ukrainian law and reflect the will of the Ukrainian people, potentially requiring parliamentary approval or a national referendum.
"Our society, too, has to choose and decide who has to vote, because it’s their land – the land not of one person," Zelenskyy said. "It’s the land of our nation for a lot of generations."
Trump said polling shows strong public support for ending the war and reiterated his desire to bring the conflict to a close, citing the scale of casualties on both sides.
"We want to see it ended," Trump said. "I want it ended because I don’t want to see so many people dying. We’re losing massive numbers of people – the biggest by far since World War II."
Raiders' Jamal Adams, Giants' Jameis Winston get in screaming match during heated moment on sideline
Two NFL veterans were spotted getting into a screaming match in Las Vegas on Sunday night, as Raiders safety Jamal Adams and New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston needed to be held back from each other on the sideline.
There isn’t much either NFL team is playing for in Week 17 other than draft position, but tensions ran high after Giants receiver Wan’Dale Robinson made a catch and Adams came running over after the play was over near the Giants’ sideline.
Adams and a Giants coach ended up face-to-face, and though it was unknown what was being said, Winston was quick to jump right in the middle of the scrum of Giants players and Adams.

It got to the point where Winston and Adams were both shoving each other, while getting in each other’s faces. This lasted for quite some time before referees had to get involved on the sideline.
Winston continued to scream at Adams, as Giants teammates started to pull him away from the situation. Whatever was said clearly ticked off Winston, while Adams seemed to be wondering what made the situation rise to this level of frustration.
This game between the Giants and Raiders involves the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, as New York would secure that selection with a loss on the road. They would move to 2-14 on the season with a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys at home ending their season in Week 18.
On the other hand, the Raiders currently own the same 2-13 record as the Giants, and they face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18. A loss for the Raiders doesn’t guarantee the pick like the Giants due to strength of schedule, though their chances for No. 1 would be much higher going into Week 18.
Obviously, neither team wants to be in this situation, but it’s the unfortunate reality with only two games remaining.
While both teams could certainly use that top selection next April, the Raiders would especially like it considering they are in the quarterback market. They have Geno Smith on for another year, but they don’t have a quarterback of the future waiting in the wings.
At the same time, the Giants like what they’ve seen from their own first-round rookie quarterback in Dart, who has shined despite what the record says for New York.
Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza and Oregon’s Dante Moore appear to be the best options, according to most draft experts.
At halftime of this contest, the Giants, following rushing scores by Devin Singletary and Jaxson Dart, have a 17-3 lead over the Raiders.

Before their engagement ended, Dobrev had made it clear she wasn’t rushing the wedding.
Speaking to E! News, she reflected on the unique stage of being a fiancée.
"We’re just enjoying being engaged at this point and being in that sort of phase because a lot of your life is—you have a boyfriend for half of your life and then you have a husband for half of your life, but the fiancé period is very short," she said. "I really want to enjoy it and not rush that process."

The "Friends" star posted a carousel of images to her Instagram page from her holiday celebrations — with one image of Curtis playing with a friend's baby.
Other pictures included her adorable dogs, as well as snaps with friends, and the sunset.
Aniston also posed for a selfie with one of her pups, and also included an image of herself relaxing on the couch.

The inclusion of Curtis in her Christmas post comes almost two months after confirming her romance with the life coach and author, who specializes in hypnotherapy.
According to Curtis' Instagram, his "mission is to help you heal and thrive by upgrading your I AM."
Aniston gave Curtis a birthday shout-out in early November, writing, "Happy birthday my love. Cherished."
She also shared a black and white image of herself with her arms wrapped around his waist.

Two weeks later, her longtime pal Adam Sandler gave his seal of approval.
The ‘Friends' actress attended Elle's Women in Hollywood event with Curtis for their first joint public appearance — where Sandler took the stage.
Sandler praised Aniston during his speech on stage - and even shouted out Curtis and their romance.
"She's gorgeous, she's patient… she's talented, she's deep, she's smart, she's funny as hell," Sandler said about Aniston, according to a video obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. "Her comedic timing is impeccable, and she makes me a better comedian when we work together. She's an incredible producer, writer, one of the best collaborators I've ever worked with. I love her with all my heart. Aniston, you're simply the coolest and kindest. You never stop being loving and caring to me and my family and all of your wonderful friends."
"Everyone in this room loves you, Jennifer," he added. "It's just automatic happiness when we are around you. Me and Jackie [Sandler's wife] are so happy you and Jim found each other and are having the love affair you two deserve. We love you, Jim. The whole world loves you."
Aniston was first spotted with Curtis in July, while on a yacht off the coast of Mallorca, Spain.
The actress was seen gently placing her hand on Curtis' hand while his arm was around her waist.
At the time, a source told People that Aniston and Curtis were "casually dating and having fun."
"They've been seeing each other for a few months now," another source told the outlet.
"They were introduced by a friend and started out as friends. Jen had read his book and was familiar with his work. She's really into self-help and wellness. They are dating, but it's still casual."
"She's been happy on her own, but she's also open to sharing her life with someone. As long as it feels right," the source added. "Jen's in a very good place right now — grounded, fulfilled and very happy."
Aniston was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and Justin Theroux from 2015 until 2018.
ICE delivers 'greatest gift of all' with Christmas arrests of convicted criminals across multiple states
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Saturday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested some of the "worst of the worst" criminal illegal immigrants on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
While many Americans spent the holidays with their loved ones, ICE agents put "their lives on the line" to track down and arrest "gang members, murderers, drug traffickers, and violent thugs," according to DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
"While families across the country joined together for Christmas celebrations, ICE continued delivering the American people the greatest gift of all: getting criminals out of our neighborhoods and protecting our families," McLaughlin said in a statement.
The arrests included illegal immigrants from Mexico, Cuba, Somalia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Sudan, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela. All had past criminal convictions.

Arrests made on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day included:
Samuel Juarez-Cruz, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, who was convicted of criminal homicide, third-degree murder and conspiracy to commit criminal homicide in Pennsylvania.

Miguel Gonzalez-Toledo, an illegal immigrant from Cuba, who was convicted of homicide and drug trafficking offenses in Florida.
Mohamed Hassan Jeylani, an illegal immigrant from Somalia, with multiple convictions, including stolen vehicle possession, reckless endangerment, unlawful flight from police and drug-impaired driving.

Lionel Arevalo-Rubio, an MS-13 gang member from El Salvador, who was convicted of robbery in Los Angeles.
Juan David Vazquez-Reyes, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was convicted of death by auto or vessel in New Jersey.
Marcos Archila-Aquino, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, who was convicted of aggravated assault with a weapon in Utah.
Juan Zarzoza-Garza, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, who was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas.
Yasir Emilio Lohai Ojok, an illegal immigrant from Sudan, who was convicted of second-degree burglary in California.
Leonardo Miliano, an illegal immigrant from the Dominican Republic, who was convicted of illegal firearm possession in Massachusetts.
Jose Arena-Ojeda, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, who was convicted of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens and alien smuggling in Texas.
"We are thankful for our law enforcement who sacrifice time with their family and put their lives on the line to remove the worst of the worst," McLaughlin added.
DHS recently announced that more than 2.5 million illegal immigrants have left the U.S. since President Donald Trump returned to office this year, citing a sweeping immigration crackdown it says has led to the "most secure border in American history."
