Ravens ride Derrick Henry's four touchdowns to keep playoff hopes alive
The Baltimore Ravens’ season was on the brink going into Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers and they needed a win to keep their playoff chances alive.
Derrick Henry was called upon to carry the load and he delivered.

The star running back got the ball early and often. He scored three touchdowns in the first half – all on the ground. He started with a 3-yard score in the first quarter and followed it with a 1-yard score and another 3-yard score in the second quarter.
Henry’s fourth touchdown came in the fourth quarter. Baltimore was hanging on to a 10-point lead and the veteran delivered the dagger on a 25-yard touchdown.
The Ravens won the game 41-24. Henry finished with 216 rushing yards on 36 carries.
Baltimore needed to ride Henry because of injuries to the leader of the offense, Lamar Jackson. He was out for the game due to a back injury. Tyler Huntley subbed in for Jackson and was 16-of-20 for 107 passing yards. He had a clutch touchdown pass to Zay Flowers in the fourth quarter.

The Packers lost out on the NFC North title with the defeat, ceding it to the Chicago Bears. Green Bay was also missing a crucial part of their offense in Jordan Love.
Malik Willis got the start and did as well as he could. He had 288 passing yards, a touchdown pass, 60 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He showed tremendous heart and nearly gave the death knell to the Ravens’ season. He didn’t finish the game as he suffered a right shoulder injury.
Packers wide receiver Christian Watson had five catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.
The Ravens still need to hope that the Pittsburgh Steelers suffer an upset at the hands of the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. But they can sleep easier knowing that they did their part for at least one night when their backs were against the wall.
Baltimore and Pittsburgh will meet in Week 18.

'Unlucky' Honduran woman arrested after allegedly running red light and crashing into ICE vehicle
A Honduran national had an "unlucky" encounter with Border Patrol enforcement on Friday.
The woman allegedly ran a red light in Slidell, Louisiana, and rammed into an Immigration, Customs and Enforcement (ICE) vehicle, U.S. Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino wrote on X.

"Apparently she never learned the lesson that red means stop," Bovino wrote. "Not ‘accelerate and collide with a government vehicle actively enforcing federal law.’"
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash, according to the post, but Bovino said she was "certainly taken into custody" following the accident.
"Unlucky for her. Lucky for us," Bovino continued in the post.

Federal agents were reportedly in the area as part of the Operation Catahoula Crunch. The operation targets illegal immigrants in the New Orleans area, according to officials.
"Catahoula Crunch targets include violent criminals who were released after arrest for home invasion, armed robbery, grand theft auto and rape," Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.
ICE has reportedly apprehended approximately 370 people in the area, according to a Dec. 18 update.

"DHS is making the New Orleans community safer as it continues to arrest illegal alien drug dealers, hit-and-run criminals, and one monster who was convicted for arson and threatening a person with intent to terrorize," McLaughlin said.
The DHS reported that it has deported more than 622,000 individuals in 2025 as of Dec. 19.
The department also reported that 2.5 million illegal immigrants have left the country, and an estimated 1.9 million self-deportations have occurred since President Donald Trump's crackdown on immigration.
Details about the Honduran woman were not made publicly available.
DHS did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Iranian president says his country is at 'total war' with the US, Israel and Europe: reports
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country is engaged in what he described as a "total war" with the U.S., Israel and Europe.
In an interview published Saturday by Iranian state media, Pezeshkian said that he believes the Western powers want to bring Iran "to its knees," The Times of Israel reported.
"In my opinion, we are at total war with the United States, Israel and Europe," Pezeshkian said. "They want to bring our country to its knees."
Pezeshkian argued that the current conflict is more complex than the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s, saying his country is now under pressure "from every angle," according to The Times of Israel.
"If one understands it well, this war is far more complex and difficult than that war. In the war with Iraq, the situation was clear, they fired missiles, and we knew where to hit," Pezeshkian said, according to The Jerusalem Post.
"Here, they are besieging us from every aspect, they are creating problems for us in terms of livelihood, culturally, politically, and security-wise."
Despite the strain, Pezeshkian claimed Iran’s military emerged stronger following its June conflict with Israel, according to The Times of Israel.
"Our beloved military forces are doing their jobs with strength and now, in terms of equipment and manpower, despite all the problems we have, they are stronger than when they attacked. So if they want to attack, they will naturally face a more decisive response," he said.

The interview with Pezeshkian was released ahead of a planned meeting this coming week at Mar-a-Lago between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Tensions remain high following a brief but intense air conflict in June that was kicked off by Israel.
The fighting resulted in roughly 1,100 deaths in Iran, including senior military commanders and nuclear scientists, while Iranian missile attacks killed 28 people in the Jewish State.

A US-brokered ceasefire between Iran and Israel took effect on June 24.

Ex-NBA player Kenyon Martin fires back after JJ Redick rips Lakers’ Christmas effort
The Los Angeles Lakers entered their second season under head coach JJ Redick with hopes of improving on last year’s early playoff exit
With just over one-third of the NBA season already completed, the Lakers have experienced some ups and downs this year. After getting off to a 15-4 start, the Lakers struggled with inconsistency. In Thursday’s primetime matchup, the team fell short of Redick’s expectations.
The Houston Rockets dominated the Lakers en route to a 119-96 win on Christmas Day. Redick sounded off after Los Angeles dropped a third straight game, questioning his team’s effort and professionalism.

"We don’t care enough right now," Redick said. "And that’s the part that bothers you a lot. We don’t care enough to do the things that are necessary. We don’t care enough to be a professional." The assessment drew a sharp reaction from former NBA player Kenyon Martin.

"‘The words of the day are effort and execute.’ I saw that when I used to drop my son off at school in kindergarten two years ago. There was a word of the day on the door when you walk in. You got to tell the teacher the word of the day before you get into the classroom. Is this what we’re doing here? We’re professional athletes who are making 30, 40 or 50 million dollars a year. That’s what we’re doing here."
Martin then floated a theory about how the Lakers' locker room views Redick.
"JJ, I don’t know if you know this or not, bro. Them dudes don’t respect you. You are their peer. Just because you have the head coach title, they don’t look at you as such." Redick last appeared in an NBA game in 2021 with the Dallas Mavericks.
From Martin’s perspective, NBA all-time leading scorer LeBron James is viewed as more of a leader than the team’s head coach.
"And the main (culprit) is the guy who you just had got the podcast with. That helped get you the job, man. Let’s call a spade a spade," he said. "Once you address the crying, every possession to the rest with Luka and Austin Reeves and LeBron once. If you addressed it once, if they respect you, they’ll go out of their way to try to change it because you’re a new voice in there. And you gave a certain effort when you played, JJ Redick. You did. You played hard every time you stepped on the floor. People respected that about you."
Redick also committed to making Saturday’s practice ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Sacramento Kings "uncomfortable" for the Lakers.

Elon Musk warns 'people will die' over Mamdani's FDNY commissioner pick, Lillian Bonsignore
Elon Musk on Friday slammed incoming New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for selecting a woman without operational firefighting experience as the head of the Fire Department of the City of New York City (FDNY).
"People will die because of this," the billionaire provocateur, who served in President Donald Trump's administration, wrote on X. "Proven experience matters when lives are at stake."
Mamdani, who will take office Jan. 1, appointed Lillian Bonsignore, a 31-year FDNY veteran who led EMS Operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, as FDNY commissioner this week.
She retired in 2022.
"The first woman to achieve a 4-star rank in FDNY history, she's joining us as the FDNY Commissioner to bring her crisis leadership and operational expertise to this administration," Mamdani wrote on X Tuesday.
Bonsignore will be only the second woman to hold the position and the first openly gay person in the role.

Mamdani quickly responded to Musk on X, writing on Saturday, "Experience does matter, which is why I appointed the person who spent more than 30 years at EMS. You know, the workforce that addresses at least 70% of all calls coming into FDNY?"
Fox News Digital has reached out to the FDNY and Mamdani’s team for comment.
"I am honored, so honored, and humbled to stand before you as the new fire commissioner," Bonsignore said at a Tuesday news conference. "This appointment represents a significant responsibility, one I accept with humility, dedication and a deep sense of commitment to the city and its people."
Outgoing NYC Mayor Eric Adams also made his own FDNY commissioner appointment this week, FDNY First Deputy Commissioner Mark Guerra.
"Under our administration, keeping New Yorkers safe and protected has always been our North Star, and having principled, qualified public servants in place to lead our critical public safety agencies is crucial to fulfilling that goal; there’s no person who meets those high standards (like) Commissioner Mark Guerra," Adams said Tuesday.
"Lillian’s light is one that can’t be dimmed by anything else that takes place," Mamdani said in response, according to FOX 5. "The mayor is free to continue to be the mayor until the end of this year and make decisions as such."
FBI ramps up counter-drone efforts as Patel warns of growing threats from criminals, terrorists
FBI Director Kash Patel said Saturday that the Trump administration is ramping up its efforts to combat the growing threat posed by drones used by criminal networks, terrorist groups and foreign adversaries, launching a new national training program to help law enforcement detect and stop unlawful drone activity.
Patel said the bureau has invested significant time and resources this year into modernizing its capabilities to counter unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
"Unmanned aircrafts are increasingly exploited by criminals, terrorists, and hostile foreign actors — making the counter UAS program a critical area for the FBI to modernize and adapt to stay ahead of the threat," Patel wrote on X.
Patel said President Donald Trump signed an executive order in June that led to the creation of a National Counter-UAS Training Center, which the FBI operates out of its Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

The FBI director said the new training center prepares law enforcement to safely detect, identify, track and mitigate unlawful drone activity when legally authorized, in compliance with the National Defense Authorization Act passed by Congress this year.
Patel said the facility will play a key role in preparing security operations for major upcoming events in the U.S., including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Summer Olympics.
"This is an investment that will pay huge dividends for America’s national security in the years to come," he added.

Patel's post underscores how the FBI is making counter-drone operations a top modernization priority, framing drones as an evolving national security threat.
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino wrote on X Saturday that the "drone threat isn’t in the future, it’s in the now," adding that the Trump administration was taking action to adapt to a "new threat ecosystem."
On Monday, the Federal Communications Commission announced it would ban new foreign-made drones due to national security concerns.
The FCC added UAS and their critical components made in China and other foreign countries to its "covered list" that includes equipment determined to pose an "unacceptable risk" to U.S. national security and the safety of Americans.

NFL teams should expect 'Ricky Williams-type' price tag in potential Joe Burrow trade talks: report
For a third consecutive season, the Cincinnati Bengals will be on the outside looking in when the NFL playoffs kick off.
Joe Burrow's future with the team has been a topic of conversation as the Bengals come to terms with the reality of another season not going as planned.
The star quarterback recently made comments that seemingly fueled speculation about his status with the franchise that selected him first overall six seasons ago. He hinted that enjoying the game was a priority, saying he wanted to "go have fun [and] play football."
Amid the speculation, NFL Insider Jonathan Jones reported that multiple teams could pursue Burrow this offseason. While it remains unlikely Cincinnati will deal the 29-year-old, any team that does inquire about Burrow should be prepared to meet a hefty asking price.

An unnamed executive for an AFC team told CBS Sports it would take a historic haul of draft picks, mentioning "Ricky Williams-type trade" compensation for the Bengals to consider an immediate future without Burrow. It took every pick, a total of six selections, for the New Orleans Saints to get into position to draft Williams in 1999. New Orleans also sent a first-round pick and a third-rounder to Washington.
Another executive suggested a couple of first-round draft picks as starting point in negotiations.
"Probably depends on if a team has a young QB or players to offer, but imagine they won’t even answer the phone if you don’t have at least two first-round picks, plus more," an NFC front office executive told the outlet. "Maybe even three if you’re not doing it with any players involved."
Last week, Burrow attempted to ease concerns about his future in Cincinnati.
"I can’t see that. No." he responded when asked whether he could picture himself in another NFL team's uniform in 2026. However, a follow-up question about suiting up for another franchise at some point later in his career prompted a vague response from the star signal-caller.
"You think about a lot of things," he said.
Burrow and the Bengals reached an agreement on a long-term contract worth $275 million in 2023. The deal made him one of the highest-paid players in NFL history. The contract also included a no-trade clause valid through 2029.
The Bengals host the Arizona Cardinals Sunday before closing out the season in Cleveland against the Browns in Week 18.

Broncos officially end Chiefs' reign as AFC West champs with Chargers' loss to Texans
The Denver Broncos officially ended the Kansas City Chiefs’ reign on top of the AFC West Saturday when the Houston Texans topped the Los Angeles Chargers, 20-16.
The Broncos pulled out a victory over the Chiefs Thursday night and received the bonus gift of a Chargers loss.
It’s Denver’s first division title since the 2015 season, which is also the last time the team won the Super Bowl.

Kansas City had won the division title each year since the 2016 season when Alex Smith was still the starting quarterback. After Smith passed the torch to Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ winning continued. This year, the Chiefs looked out of sorts on both sides of the ball. Injuries had a lot to do with it. Kansas City also failed to win close games. The team dropped to 6-10 with their loss to Denver.
The Texans stayed in contention for the AFC South title with the win. C.J. Stroud had two big touchdown passes in the first quarter, a 75-yarder to Jayden Higgins and a 43-yarder to Jaylin Noel.
RAMS’ PUKA NACUA SAYS NFL FINE STUNG, CALLS IT A 'LEARNING MOMENT'
Houston’s defense stymied Justin Herbert enough to win the game. Herbert threw an interception at the goal line in the second quarter to end their threat. When Los Angeles forced a turnover on the subsequent Houston drive, the Chargers failed to get points on the board again after Cameron Dicker missed a field goal try.
The Chargers made it a game in the second half when Herbert threw a touchdown pass to Oronde Gadsden in the third quarter and Omarion Hampton found the end zone on a 5-yard touchdown scamper in the fourth. The Chargers never got the ball back after the Hampton score.
Herbert was 21 of 32 passing for 236 yards and an interception. He was sacked five times.
Stroud was 16 of 28 for 244 yards with two touchdown passes and two interceptions.
Houston’s win also meant the Indianapolis Colts were eliminated from playoff contention. The Colts started the season 7-1, but haven’t won a game since Daniel Jones went down with a season-ending Achilles injury.

DHS official rips Kilmar Abrego Garcia for 'making TikToks' while agency faces gag order
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin on Saturday took aim at Kilmar Abrego Garcia for "making TikToks" while DHS remains constrained by an "activist judge."
McLaughlin was reacting to a minute-long video that appears to show Abrego Garcia, an El Salvadoran illegal immigrant who became a flashpoint in the Trump administration’s mass deportation campaign, filming himself lip-syncing to a song in Spanish.
"So we, at [DHS], are under gag order by an activist judge and Kilmar Abrego Garcia is making TikToks," McLaughlin wrote. "American justice ceases to function when its arbiters silence law enforcement and give megaphones to those who oppose our legal system."

A court order had previously been issued by an Obama-appointed federal judge that restricts DHS and other Trump administration officials from publicly discussing Abrego Garcia’s human smuggling case. That order was later narrowed, according to The Tennessee Star.
Abrego Garcia had repeatedly sought to curb public criticism from Trump administration officials, arguing the remarks threaten his right to a fair trial, Politico reported.
ABREGO GARCIA RELEASED FROM JAIL, WILL RETURN TO MARYLAND TO AWAIT TRIAL
Abrego Garcia’s case has drawn national attention since March, when he was deported to his home country of El Salvador in violation of a 2019 court order and in what Trump officials acknowledge was an "administrative error."
Upon his return to the U.S., Abrego Garcia was immediately taken into federal custody and detained on human smuggling charges from a 2022 traffic stop. The Trump administration has claimed he is a member of MS-13, which Abrego Garcia denies.
A federal judge this week canceled Abrego Garcia’s trial and scheduled a hearing to review whether prosecutors pursued the human smuggling charges vindictively, according to The Associated Press.
U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis on Monday also extended a temporary restraining order preventing the Trump administration from immediately detaining Abrego Garcia again after failing to produce a final removal order.
The ruling keeps in place an earlier order that secured his release from ICE custody.
DHS and a defense attorney for Abrego Garcia did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Tupac Shakur murder suspect challenges Las Vegas police search as 'unlawful' nighttime raid
Attorneys for a Las Vegas man charged in the 1996 murder of rap legend Tupac Shakur claim in a new motion that authorities conducted an "unlawful" nighttime search of the former gang leader’s home based on false information.
Duane "Keffe D" Davis’ lawyers filed a motion Monday with the Clark County District Court in Nevada to toss out evidence collected during a search conducted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Davis was arrested in 2023 for Shakur’s murder and is expected to stand trial in August.
Robert Draskovich and William Brown claim in the motion that a judge relied on a "misleading portrait" of Davis that portrayed him as a gang leader, "when in fact his drug convictions were [25] years old, and he was now a [60]-year-old retired cancer survivor that had lived quietly in the same Henderson home for nearly a decade," the motion said, according to KLAS-TV.

"Second, the court overlooked the case-specific urgency or safety concerns Nevada law requires to justify nighttime searches, accepting instead generic safety theories that would apply to virtually any search of any home," the lawyers added.

"The court wasn’t told any of this," the lawyers argued in the motion. "As a result, the court authorized a nighttime search based on a portrait of Davis that bore little resemblance to reality — a clearly erroneous factual determination, in other words."
Fox News Digital has reached out to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for comment.

The department declined to comment to The Associated Press on Friday but said at the time of the warrant that a nighttime search would allow them to surround his home and more safely evacuate residents if Davis barricaded himself in the home.
Davis has pleaded not guilty to the murder and sought in November to dismiss the charges against him.
"Think of it this way: Shakur’s murder was essentially the entertainment world’s JFK assassination — endlessly dissected, mythologized, monetized — so it’s not hard to see why someone in Davis’s position might falsely place himself at the center of it all for personal gain," his attorneys said in a petition to the Nevada Supreme Court that was denied.
Shakur was killed in a drive-by shooting in September 1996 in Las Vegas that remained unsolved for decades until Davis’ 2023 arrest.
